What about a baking chef battle I like watching cooking shows, and every time there is something to bake, chefs be like "baking is not cooking", only knowing a basic pizza dough recipe ^^
When I was a child I enjoyed pieplant jelly. I was a 5-year-old back then and I loved it so much that my granny taught me how to cook it, and I was making it while parents weren't at home... The process involved the stove so I feel like I was more mature than Barry is now)))) I no longer remember the recipe and it is sad really. What I am saying is that you should include a pieplant into your book, it truly deserves it.
Sunchoke, endive, green apple, and pears have become my new go to to lighten any meal. Veggies are great roasted and fried, but that can be heavy when not balanced out. That pear and romanesco salad with the vinaigrette looked amazing for a lunch with something like BBQ.
Since Ben made 3 different dishes this time I see no reason why you can't do "Pass it on: 3 course meal" 😁 Love the Pass it on series guys keep it up !
I got dirty looks from my roommate cuz I just kept shouting "Chickpeas! you need the chickpeas!!!" Everytime one of them went back to that poor hummas base
I fucking had a heart attack when Jamie removed those goddamn chickpeas to roast them, God. He even figured the base was hummus but not that it needed chickpeas!! How does that even happen? 😂😂😂
To be fair unless you eat hummus regularly you wouldn't realise chickpeas were missing, you would just presume someone (the normals) got the proportions wrong
4 years on and Jamie still owns that track 😂😂 it’s like Ebbers constantly showing his mantra by always steering conversation or the end dish towards a fish pie, Jamie’s mantra is offending people from every culture across the globe and being a typical ‘Spaff’ in the kitchen 😂😂
Jamie actually learned from the years he spent with the boys Working under pressure out of his confort zone is not a good idea for him, and is also the reason why Pass it on is fun to watch (also Barry)
Ben really is a "wave of positivity ". He's a natural teacher. Would be great if you do more videos where he gives suggestions on how to 'correct' common kitchen mistakes. For example if a flavour is not balanced, how do you fix that? Your show is a wave of positivity in these dark times!
The next pass it on should be in the order of the self scores from the previous pass it on. Highest to lowest or lowest to highest, either one. Also, you should do comfort food as the theme!
Ben was the true hero. I think he needs like 20 brownie points for trying to salvage what he could. Jamie needs 15 deducted for what he did with those chickpeas.
@Marius Periwinkle Even still, though, the final dish in the vegetarian one was Mike's idea which got perfectly communicated down the line. If an actual dish had been in mind from the start, James could've progressed it along enough that it would be clear to everyone else what they were going for.
I'm a vegetarian with vegan family members so I cook vegan food all the time and I was screaming at them during this. There's so much delicious vegan food. I made flatbreads, falafel, hummus, and a salad the other day all from scratch and all vegan.

Yep. Makes for a smoother, creamier texture. I usually boil my canned peas for an extra 20 minutes at least. If i can easily mash them with my finger I consider them done. When Jamie roasted the pepper I was hosting someone would make roasted pepper hummus but sadly no. If you havent and you like pepper you should. Its so good.

They could do three rounds too! Like, instead of letting each chef go once, they will eventually all go three times
