Jamie: The whole roast chicken is either the best idea I've ever had... or the worst.
Everyone else: There's a WHOLE CHICKEN in the oven!!?!!??!?!?!?!??!
The chicken was actually cooked in time and could be plated in many different ways, so I would call it a win. :)
@@VixeyTeh honestly 45 minutes is enough time as long as the oven can come quickly up to the right temperature.
And you have 4 people opening the oven to look at it, letting out the heat. #facepalm
And half a breast was used lol...
After show would be Jamie pulling out the roast and scarfing out on a drumstick
Cut to the chicken pie video with Mike saying A WHOLE CHICKEN a few times.
I want to see a reaction video where you guys all watch back the Pass It On episode and talk about what went wrong!! (or right)
I really think something you should bring back from the first Pass It On challenge is the quick recap at the end explaining what each of your goals/thought process was during your round.
I love watching the reactions!
Absolutely! It's such a shame to have such funny moments and not have them react to them!
That makes it the best , still laughing over "I didn't ignore them, I put them straight in the bin"
"It's a herb."
"It's called green herb."
Never related so much to someone in a kitchen before.
This show is more and more taking on the vibe of classic Top Gear, before it went shit. Ostensibly about something (cars, cooking), but actually most people watch it for a group of mates dicking around with one another. Well done gents.
You guys should realize that the perfect order for the Pass It On segments is like this :
1) Mike (because he thinks outside the box, but not too far out of the box - unlike Barry)
2) Ben (because he's a chef and he'll add on to whatever the first person has set up)
3) Jamie (let's be honest, you can only put him in the middle because he can't set up according to the theme properly, and if he does mess up, at least they'll be other people to fix his mistakes)
4) James (because he's also a chef and he'll probably have to fix whatever mistakes Jamie did)
5) Barry (because at this stage, he can only focus on plating up and not screw up the dish by adding anything weird or outrageous)
I rest my case.
Agreed, but changing up the order does make it more unpredictable and hilarious 😂
You're right, but I loved Jamie going first, because of everyone's reaction to the entire chicken in the oven. 😂
That was the sam order on the second try. The one that was actually not a fail!!
I feel Jamie did great first, the chicken worked out great, he was simple with seasoning that left a lot open to interpretation, he was on theme with the roasted veg. I think they just needed to put a chef last on this one and it would have went great
I love watching this series because it’s like a beautiful delicious trainwreck.
*James panic in this video was so cute.*
I love the Pass It On segment! It's like watching a train wreck live, you want to look away but you just can't! Thanks for keeping my anxiety levels on the edge! Keep it up guys.
I think it would be fun to have those that already had their turn watch the process in another room (so as not to give anything away with gasps or laughter) just to see their reactions as their plans go up in flames (literally?)
That's a great idea. Then next upload they react to the entire video
Oh.god.yes. Dunno if it’s possible but hell if it wouldn’t be the best worst house fire.
@@laurafitzbee All they have to do is essentially like a live stream it for the guys.
@@stephanieann6622 this is one of the most brilliant ideas I have ever heard. We need to come up with a banging bad order as well. I'd say make a chef go first.
I still wanna see an episode where the chefs make a complex meal, then the normal try the dish and try to recreate it.
For a successful dish, I would go:
1) Jamie - I think 1st is the least risky place to be, and therefore the best place for a wild card, like Jamie.
2) Ben - He seems to be the best at accurately continuing the previous guy's ideas. He'll take a good idea and kick it off to a promising start.
3) James - He would be the best one to pick up on Ben's clues. (Didn't work this time, but I still think a fellow chef would be the best one to interpret whatever Ben's left over.) This would probably be the most challenging position, because this might be the last chance for new components to be added to the dish without completely confusing the last 2 people (i.e. throwing in a side when people are expecting one coherent dish). You'd have to figure out the one dish already cooking and communicate it to the people who will finish it.
4) Mike - Hopefully after 2 chefs, the dish would be apparent, and out of the 3 normals, Mike would be the most likely to figure out what the dish is. He'll be the best one to follow the chefs.
5) Barry - He's excellent at plating. He should go last.
For maximum train wreckage and hilarity:
1) Ben - starting things off with his pure, good intentions and good ideas
2) Barry - to misinterpret Ben's clues
3) Jamie - to add in a steak
4) James - to panic at the apocalypse in the kitchen
5) Mike - to plate up EXACTLY like he did in this video
cocoacoconuts24 when you say Barry to misinterpret Ben’s ideas, do you mean go “F it, I’m making a cloud egg” lol
A train wreckage is a decent description if thats the order hahaha
Oh God..the shot of an overcooked chicken birthing a lemon will haunt me forever.
Barry strolling in munching on a pepper or baby tomato or something: Don't panic. It's all under control.
Barry 10 seconds later: WHAT ARE WE MAKING?!
The true panic on James’s face is just 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
1. James does not perform well under pressure. He actually lost his marbles.
2. Watching that chicken birth a lemon. I lost my marbles.
James being so guilty was hilarious 😂 it would be funny to see you guys react to these videos to see what the others did
Oh yes! That would be great! Somehow make it that the Pass it on is filmed first, then the guys watch what the others did and than the dish is revealed to everyone. Just once. as a special would be ok.
I audibly giggled when James started panicking at the fact that there wasn't a dish bc he's so used to being last and just working off what's there/deciding what to throw out before plating
“What’s the herb”
Jamie: “it’s called green herb”
😂😂
BTW I’ve never seen James panic lol
Jamie's logic last episode: "I should go first to prove that I'm not the one screwing things up."
Jamie's logic this episode: "They all expect me to screw it up anyways, so I'm roasting a whole chicken."
James and Mike panicking. Barry's over confidence. Jamie's butter. Ben and James in the same shorts. This has to be the funniest Pass It On video yet. I was laughing all the way through.
I love this format, it's sooo hilarious. Only problem I have is every time Ben steps up to the plate, he tells what he wants to do and where he sees it going and I think to myself: "That sounds delicious, please show me how to do that!". But then his turn is over and I never get to know 😢
Summary of this episode: "There's a whole chicken in the oven."
Then it was served shredded.
Mike is much better to start the whole thing, but totally hilarious as the one to end it.
And hooray for James' red shorts.
Please do Pass it On as a weekly, if not, every other week segment. It's really interesting to watch you guys panic.
James: ....so I hid them.
Ben: YOU HID THEM!?
I'm not even done watching but Barry just moved his spot and this will turn out horribly. God I love this concept!
I let out a very loud, "NO!!" when Mike put the sauce in the couscous. But you know, that could have gone so much worse so well done anyway!
Yeah but I think with the ingredients he had in front of him. I mean what do you do? I guess a big plate of couscous with sauced chicken next to it. But I think James and Ben left the kitchen with way too much left to be done and nothing really tying it together.
James as a person it's a whole mood. He seems he has lost his rat like in Ratatouille
I'm in fits of laughter over everyone looking in the oven and being surprised, as though a chicken were *not* something you'd usually see in an oven! (I know, it was a time thing, but still LOL )
Just watched the reveal and oh my GOSH I'm in tears! Ben has a 600-yard stare like he's having PTSD flashbacks (maybe this dish is going to GIVE him PTSD!) I know these videos stress you guys out but these are 24-karat comedy gold! Please consider making more!
No Ben... that's not what Jamie was thinking
I've watched this so many times I have the line "Mr Couscous gives himself a 9" permanently burned into my brain
Panicky James is a new thing.
Its just so funny that James failed and then Barry panicked even more and made everything to cuscus
Stephanie Ann couscous a type of grain similar to rice but it’s not.... more like quinoa
You can see Ben's disappointment at the reveal.
That little corner shot of Ben saying "what've you done?" just gave me a weirdly pleasant feeling. 💘
I worry for Ben's sanity more and more every day
make them do another shocker episode and let him have fun teasing the others, that should do it
You should have seen the Jurassic make off. I have never seen Ben so disgusted in his life.
Jesus Mike you had a beautiful whole roasted chicken...and then shredded it? Dafuq?
Yeah, he panicked.
At least he got stuff on the plate.
He could have plated a bit better but at least he got stuff others made on there.
Hmmmm..... rated out of ten for this episode:
Jamie 7 “I cant mess anything up if I go first. So let’s roast a whole chicken with green herb!”
Ben 6 “peas are in season!”
Mike 6 “throw all the things together!”
Barry 4 “you know what this needs? A cous cous salad on a pretty plate”
James 4 “let’s hide these perfectly good potatoes because I’m panicking!”
😂 y’all are amazing. Easily my favorite channel to watch on YT. 😂🖤
More of this! Also, I liked how in the first episode you guys talked about who did what bits. Some of the reactions made for a good laugh
I would love Barry first, followed by two chefs, ending with Jamie. Yes, I want to see it go as badly (hilariously) as possible.
James acted the same way as my 8 year old student. He hid things, he panicked and stomp his feet, felt guilty about it, did it anyway and confess and the end of the class. Just that he's 10 times bigger than my student and definitely cuter lol. Mike did a good job! Well done!
James is so nervous. He has no idea what to do. Oh I'm digging this.😂😂😂
Five years old, and this video is still hilarious- I love how individual and different boys are, and yet, they just gel so well ❤
Poor James (but his facial expressions made his panic so worth it!).
My ideal Pass it On order for the next one:
1. James (after this one, he deserves the first spot!)
2. Barry (there will be time to fix whatever he has done)
3. Mike (Mikey in the middle!)
4. James (for pure entertainment purposes)
5. Ben (for the 50/50 chance of ringing success or abject failure of following everyone else)
You're welcome and I'm sorry.
Started watching you nearly 2 weeks ago and now have watched near 200 episodes. Loving it
At least I'm not the only new subscriber binging on these. I was up all night watching Sorted.
@@SCBJQ Theyre videos are so good. I recommend Londons best and ofc all the ultimate battles.
Same here, binge-watching for the last two weeks, already cooked a bunch of stuff, I gave my husband (the main cook or the house) a list of videos and dishes I want to eat.
Me too, it's not your "typical" cooking show. I'm totally hooked, great job!! 😊👍👍
Okay, I KNOW this video is old but I just discovered this channel and I have to say… James hiding the radishes only for Barry to immediately pop in and cut some up…. Absolutely perfect 👍
If this is a fail... all I'm saying is don't come to a dinner party at mine.
Absolutely love the pass it on series, please never let it die
I LOVE that you decided to make this a series 😀😀
Barry: What I've learned here is to not panic
.
.
.
.
.
.
Barry: WHAT DO I DO?!?!???
Love this format!! Its exciting, entertaining, and so funny to watch the whole process!
The reaction of James and Ebbers when the dish was revealed was a *mood*
should have put baz before james, so james could have hidden the coucous
Have being going on a binge watch of your episodes lately and let me say that you guys are quite entairtaining. From the cooking to the funny stuff this is a great channel. Also I was laughing constantly as this was going on. Might i suggest that you guys watch like snippets or highlights of each others turns as an ending and you guys give your thoughts for each other.
Yay mikes back. honestly have missed him he's so funny
The panic was hilarious!! When James just hid the veggies, Barry was panicking that he didn't have much to do! Lol! My favourite series!
This is probably my fav series, Ben always looks so done with everything XD
Barry giving himself a 9 is the kind of positivity I need in my life tbh
Poor James felt so bad for hiding the potatoes 😂
Barry's five stages of grief:
"What I know is to relax."
"...There's a chicken in the oven."
"A potato. (Laughs) What the hell is that?!"
"WHAT ARE THEY MAKING?!"
"What do I do?!"
The chicken giving birth to a lemon, barry doing the duckling dance or james going absolutely mental can't decide which one was my favorite bit :)
James is so pure
He hid the minty potatoes and apparently needs a year of therapy because of the guilt
James' reaction on reveal is beyond epic
Pass it on has got to be my favourite segment. I can’t help but grin throughout! More pls!
Yessss!!
More pass it on, please. It's so entertaining!
I feel like this was went overall much better than the other ones.
I LOVE this series!
I’ve been binge watching your videos after just finding the channel a couple days ago. So far my new favorite channel
I want to see this but instead each person gets 2 shifts of 10 minutes each and there needs to be an entree AND a dessert. 👀 I like the idea of having the first person come back and try to save what they had originally started, and then by the end of it all maybe you'll have a more cohesive meal. Mainly, I just really enjoy the panic James experienced with this go of it and I can't stop laughing to think about him coming back the second time and seeing the chaos x2. Plus someone will goof up and start putting dessert ingredients into the entree or vise versa. 🤣😂
This is my absolute favorite video series of all time. Please do more of these pass it on videos!! 🤣🤣🤣
Barry giving himself a 9 while the others (including 2 chefs) gave themselves an average of 6🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't understand why James thought there was no dish. Some spring veggies along a roasted chicken with romesco sauce sounds perfect and seasonal!!! Why hide the potatoes and radish? Any seasoned veggies with some herbs and spices would go well with a roasted chicken.
Lol seeing everyone but Ben and Jamie jump around panicing saying "I don't know" is so hilarious 😂
Barry, Ben, Mike, James and Jamie for the next pass it on! I want Jamie to be last so bad haha I love panicking James, this was super fun to watch :)
Pass It On is the most awesome segment you guys have ever done.
"I'm a flappy little dweeb right now, aren't I? "
This is a great series. I hope it continues. I love it when there's discussion during the tasting.
YESS PASS IT ON
This is my new favourite series on youtube. Amazing.
This lineup is exactly what I wanted, and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Edit: That was fantastic, and if they keep doing this segment, they need to keep switching up the order.
I just can’t relay how much joy these guys bring our family. We are literally laughing so hard we are crying every episode! Well done 🎉. Texas💋
I love how the first thing each of them did was look in the oven and go 'There's a whole chicken in the oven!'
Wait what if for the next one if you don't stick to the brief, whoever strays the farthest gets punished, because y'all obviously need help sticking to it (not just Barry for once)
Whoever strays farthest away from the brief get shocked by the crew. Or gets punished by.....THE SORTEDFOOD COMMUNITY!
Oh James that was so adorable the guilt you had over hiding those potatoes. Thanks for another fun video guys. Love you all! Mike- 5 James- 6 Barry- 5 Ben- 7 Jamie- 8 Well done!
I love pass it on videos!
Jamie's strategy to cook the thing that would take the longest time first and a solid meaty base on which people can build sides or take in any direction was a good starting point.
It was funny watching everyone panic about it too.
11:11 😂 It’s 11:55pm here in Perth and I’m watching Mike help an over cooked chicken give birth to a lemon... life’s great XD👍🏼
I love how James hid the radishes then Baz added them again of his own volition.
Your pass it on is like the Belgium government, many different systems, no one knows who does what, but somehow it works!
Jamie: *puts a chicken in to roast*
Everyone else: *looks at oven* There's a chicken.
1st: Jamie (He started well!)
2nd: Ben (Well continued!)
3rd: Mike ( Had some good Ideas!)
4th: Barry ( Ha can watch over the things for a few minutes without ruining it!);-)
5th: James (The Magician on the Plate!)
*SORTED!!!!*
Romesco sauce with roasted chicken, fried aubergine and home-made croutons sounded really good. I did not think "Mr. Seasonal Cous Cous" had time to screw it up - but boy, was I wrong.🤣
Jamie: "which ones thyme?"
The one you're gonna run out of XD
James completely panicking and just hiding the potatoes is my new favorite thing
This was the best Pass it on. It was a complete train wreck.
Its currently 1am and I just found this series and I'm addicted
everyone: [panicking]
everyone: *still have time to laugh at melted butter*
