Jamie gave himself a 9 and you know what? He absolutely deserves it. I would have just panicked with that wild card
I thought about blending everything in the food processor to get it into the Martini glasses. What Jamie did looked a lot better than what I would have done.
Based on the fact that he got the cuisine right on the second guess, mashed all that bizarre shat together into a presentable fashion and somehow had it look decent in the worst serving vessel imaginable, I think he did just about the best with the hands he was dealt.

Yeah, I'd have probably done pretty much the same, except maybe slice the fish into smaller pieces. That way you could get fork/spoonfuls of the "salad" along with a bite of fish. But given it wasn't even properly cooked, wouldn't have helped. lol
James’ “Where’s the dish?” Is quickly moving up the ranks to Ramsey’s “Where’s the LAMB SAUCE!!???!!!”

Started already with bacon in a Turkish dish....
I still don't think it's quite as disastrous as that one pastry... and at least barry wasn't allowed to violently derail the entire thing with a cloud egg type moment.

Even as someone who cooks for a living, I'm always amazed at how much Ben manages to get done in his round.

Without any clue whatsoever where the dish was supposed to go next, there's really NO way they could've brought everything together properly to make ANYTHING resembling a decent meal. Janice set them up to fail... honestly, I can't even see HOW you can make a decent Turkish dish with Mackerel as a base ingredient cooked en flambe and served in martini glasses that is EVER going to work...😣😵

I agree. And not to mention he was able to decipher the chaos, so, well done Jamie. But I did laugh out loud near uncontrollably when he scored himself, eventhough in this instance he crazy score is apt.
I might have served each thing in their own glass and then you pick from it to a plate. might have worked better that way..... not that the fish'd be cooked more from that, or anything. XD

This challenge set them up for a fail- regardless how the ‘stuff’ ( I can’t call it food) was plated up, it wouldn’t have been good! Nice try , but ya, it’s their worst fail yet- partly cooked fish, partly cooked veg- you couldn’t pay me to even try tasting it

Honestly the chickpeas and aubergines were the most turkish ingredients they used xD. If they head breaded and fried the makrel that would have also "worked" since there are multiple turkish "breaded fish" dishes.

i saw him giving himself at least a 10, if not higher.
honestly, i'd have agreed if he had said 8 or so. he did work, prepped things, and was specifically thinking about what might go with multiple potential cuisines. like, this might have been baz's best segment in a pass it on yet.

Mike's "What's the theme here??" has the exact same energy as James' "Where's the DISH??"
Jamie, that was actually extremely impressive playing for what you had to do. This was also the first episode I ever agreed with Barry’s rating of himself lol.
I like how this time you gave each other time to orient yourself in the kitchen before your time started. It could have worked if all the elements came together.

Now in that intro Ebbers dropping the tray as he passes through, from the previous pass it on, would fit pretty nicely 😁
Jamie has slowly but surely shed his "spaff"-ness week by week, and all this time I think Mike has absorbed those powers.....dear dear lol

I watched this twice today. One time myself and once with my husband. Both times I was literally crying from laughing so hard!! One of my favorite pass it ons ever! I don't think I'll ever forget the image of the limp fish and pita sticking out of a martini glass full of chickpeas and bacon 🤣🤣🤣
I don't wanna put pressure on Kush. But his reactions (and the rest of the food team's) would be phenomenal.
PIO idea: Have Kush rank them, then place them in order from worst to best.

Ben does a really incredible job in these. He maintains or elevates what's already in front of him, creates multiple new aspects to a dish to push it toward an end goal, sets up those who follow with they can finish off while still allowing them opportunity to create on their own (a dangerous prospect with these boys) and cleans the space all within ten minutes. A big university or cooking school or something needs to scoop that dude up someday. He's one of the best, most natural teachers I've ever seen.

I love this format! Pass It On may be my favorite segment from Sorted so I always enjoy the videos. That being said, this sort of mystery box style Pass It On was very enjoyable and I'd love to see this again.

I think if Mike and Jamie had been swapped in the order then it could've worked. Its a shame it was undercooked because it looked pretty interesting. Love the wedges of lemon by each glass on the board 😂
I'd love to see a Latin American themed pass it on... It could be specific for different countries (Mexican food, Brazilian, Argentinean, Peruvian, etc.) or just Latin American in general ✨
omg I just took a sip of my drink the moment Jamie said "curveball, as if this isn't a curveballen" ... that sip didn't go down but came out laughing hehe.
Ultimate battle idea: The ultimate normals edition movie/tv-show inspired battle (like Ratatouille etc) and they had to use reviewed kitchen gadgets for the gadgets badge.
