    I recently got the Razer Blade Advanced model with RTX 2080 Super max-Q and 4K OLED. Got is customized with 64GB of RAM and 4 TB SSD among other custom features. It is the most Powerful Computer I have ever owned. My 8 yr old Desktop struggles with 4K Editing even at 1/8 Resolution Scale meanwhile the Blade can run all of the videos I work with at full resolution like it's nothing and exports 2 hour 4K videos in roughly 20 minutes more or less which in my old desktop is impossible to do. Definitely the best business investment I have made thus far.

    I have the 2019 Razer Blade Base with a RTX 2060 and i7-9750H. All I can say, best windows laptop ever.
    I wanted a desktop replacement, that was light, while still being powerful. Razer Blade is the best windows built laptop next to the Microsoft Book and XPS.
    I can run pretty much any game real above 60fps, Render Real Time Animations in DAZ and Blender, Run Photoshop and Premiere flawlessly. Basically a no compromise laptop. Is the better life good? It’s ok. Runs about 3-5 hours unplugged.
    It may seem super short to some, but that’s good enough for me. I don’t do much work at Starbucks lol. But when I do, I usually finish well before the battery is about to die.
    A near perfect laptop. Besides the charger, and the fact I can’t charge with USB-C.

    Great video, just to point out that when editing from OBS ie, MKV remuxed to MP4 (gameplay footage), there are still issues with playback / scrolling with this machine. Why isn't your Drop Frame Indicator turned on for this test? AND why don't you play back the video for more than 2 seconds? AND where are your motion graphics?

  • @victorkarpilovsky3907
    @victorkarpilovsky3907 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    it doesn't matter how many layers are in the installation. The program automatically turns off the lower one. In film industry render film sq in the proxy file and put it on the top layer to speed up the work on the movie. This helps with freez. Also, no one works in the source codec, everyone works in the proxy - this is a commandment.
    it becomes really hard for the computer with a large number of effects tracking, and poly-screens. On a laptop it is always bad to mount because at such loads it makes noise and warms the keyboard. The test that the video blog conducted is not indicative at all.

    Fantastic real world video thats really detailed and goes through more or less, exactly the workflow process on an edit. Thanks for doing this! Any chance we could get a video that compares this to the MBP 16 (I’m running a 2.3GHz 8 core! 5500M 8GB, 32GB RAM) just so we know where things stand between them 😂

    I'm between the Blade 15 (2021) with the RTX 3060, gen 11 i7 and the Blade 14 (2021) with the RTX 3070. General work ist video editing and motion graphics. i love the AMDs in the 14 and that i can get the 3070 for the same prize, but the missing thunderbolt is kind of an argument against the 14. should i choose the AMD over the Thunderbolt 4?

    I think the dell xps 17 with the rtx 2060 has nvenc. This is from Nvidia's website: One thing that is great about NVENC on the GeForce RTX 20-series and GeForce GTX 1650 Super and up is that all GPUs have the same NVENC with the same performance and quality, from the RTX 2060 to the RTX 2080 Ti.

    • @TheEverydayDad
      @TheEverydayDad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it does. The 1660 and 2000’s series GPUs have NVENC but the 1650ti I used on the XPS 17 did not have it.

    I picked up this laptop for college in the fall. I know I wanted something somewhat powerful that doesn't straight up replace my gaming desktop for a reasonable price but man this thing handles 4k better than both of my desktops handle 1080p. Kinda sad.

      Especially interested in battery life and if the need to plug in the Blade has been problematic day in day out. Also would like to know how the keyboard compares to the "improved" MacBook keys. I'm looking for a new daily driver. Mac seems to do everything I need, but I must admit the 4K screen and all that power (that I would only use sporadically) has me looking hard at windows.

    I have some questions. What settings do you use , balanced, creator och gaming? and another thing, on my razar blade 15, it says that my gpu (rtx 2060) doesn't support hardware acceleration. How do i fix that? i think i loose a lot on not having it on.

    I use da vinci resolve and the last video I posted rendered under 4min. I think it was 3.34 minutes. Albeit. I used a 2020 MBP. 10th gen i5. 2 layers of 1080p.
    No playback issues but surprisingly quick rendering time
