Eddie is the man and always will be!! This song he did for Ronnie Spector "Be my Baby" as a tribute! Legend has it he called Ronnie and she was alllllllll about it!! And is in the video looking amazing!!!! Eddie Rules!!!!!
Actually Ronnie first didnt want to do the song, becuase she wasnt in the buisness for so long thanks to Phil Spector, but Eddie persuaded her it did kinda revive her career afyer being oit of the music industry for soo long, the rest is history, on that note Ronnie had a very bad marriage to Phil Spector he was a very controlling man and set out to ruin Ronnie in the music industry threatening to kill her if she left him kept her royaltys ect, and he even went to great lengths taking her shoes and locking them away so she wouldnt leave him, Ronnie eventually left Phil, walked out with just what she had on and no shoes true story..

I've only recently become aware that it was Ronnie Spector singing backup and making an appearance; I had to do research online to discover that tidbit. I'm glad she accepted Eddie Money's offer (I mean, he's Money!), and I agree with you, she really brought something to the stage here with her "Be My Baby" update for the 1980s.
I heard he originally wanted Grace Slick to do the song with him but she suggested he use Ronnie Spector instead since she had done Be My Baby with her group The Ronnettes
Yes! I loved the 70s. Yet I felt at the time the late 60s and early 70s were the best. They still are! Yet in retrospect, that sound of the 80s cannot be bested! :-)
Eddie money and Ronnie Spector great duet what a great music icons these people were Eddie and Ronnie you are both in music heaven right now as we speak 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵 love RIP Eddie and Ronnie
So awesome. One of my favorite songs. This rejuvenated Ronnie Spector’s career after basically being a prisoner of Phil Spector for years. She was so beautiful and talented. Both are gone now. So sad.
It wasn't just her voice.. she was something special. There was this guy John that met her and he fell head over heels in love. Of course Ronnie literally belonged to Phil Specter at the time. So it was over before it started. John was sad and decided to go "all in" when he met a conceptual artist in London several months later. The young artist's name was Yoko. Yoko Ono. The rest is history.
This song never gets old. This is Money’s greatest hit. The Music Video says it all. I love the build up of Ronnie in the silhouette as you only hear her voice. When she shows up, it is a highlight that she is still as beautiful as she was 30 some years ago then in 1986. RIP to both Eddie and Ronnie. You may still be gone but you will always be missed.
I would love to go back in your Time Machine and I am always going back in time! I totally agree with you! I am a woman, but I love how Ronnie shines through the darkness and is highlighted in this song in a beautiful silhouette. Eddie looks hot, and I always love him and his voice. All time Classic progressive rock Era replayed again 2024! " gotta Love this Jam 🎶🎙🎸
One of the best songs ever! Goosebumps when Ronnie sings!
Eddie Money was way ahead of his time. He was singing to a Covid audience even back in 1986.
haha. That's cute and funny
And they voted 80 million times for Bio-Bido Den
LMAOOOOOOOOOO
@@John231984and very special just like da creeper sniffer
Lmao
Both singers left us way too early in life. Eddie and Ronnie will always be with us as long as their music is played.
Facts
she was nearly 80 and he was 70 and lived a rockers life that is pretty darn good
Way too early? She was like 78. She wasn't a spring chicken anymore. But yes, sad she is gone
@@janeporter818 not fact. She was almost 80. Pretty old
Eddie money I love your music brother rest up. Thanks for the great memories and great music forever live on.
Gives me goosebumps
Everyone know Eddie MUST loved this song!!!! doesn't care what Year!
16 years old but I am still so grateful to have a grandfather that exposed me to this golden era of music. If I could time travel, I would 🤘 R.I.P Eddie
15 and my grandfather just got me into this music again to lol
I think everyone would lol. The 80s and 90s were of a time alot of stuff and tech was starting to happen. Everyone that lived through it may not even have noticed but looking back now it's crazy. It also was a much simpler time
@@ryanprocunier85381973 baby here, I definitely noticed it and I’m still always amazed at what keeps coming.❤
I feel extra old now. 50 is very close, and the years go by quicker. Enjoy your youth.
"grandfather"!!
Rest in Peace, Eddie and Ronnie! You created a masterpiece!

RIP Eddie... and now RIP Ronnie... two awesome musical legends... now duet again. Thanks for your music
Kids today will never understand! 😀👍
I love you andy .
R.i.p eddie and ronnie
The 80s were one of the best decades ever. Eddie Money was a legend, and this was his best song imo
It was THE best decade. Trust me. I was a teenager in the 80's. It was awesome dude.
sorry, but 70's>80's. I listen to a lot of music from both tho
Mines too!! 2021 and still listening ! Rock on!!
Right on !!
I wish I could of live in the 80s
Love that strut, two legends doing their thing!!
Cant stop watching this
I heard Eddie really had to beg Ronnie to collaborate with him on this song. I’m glad she agreed because it wouldn’t have been the same without her.
According to interviews with her, when he got a hold of her and sang it to her over the phone, she loved it and immediately agreed.
Woman was very tasty to say the least.
I heard he originally wanted Grace Slick to do the song with him but she suggested he use Ronnie Spector instead since she had done Be My Baby with her group The Ronnettes
@@jakethesnake-eb9zt Cool info.
RIP Ronnie! Such a class act may her and Eddie rest in peace!
2024 still listening
They don’t make songs like this anymore we really have to appreciate this ⭐
Emotional and energetic. The best melody and duo ever.
RIP Ronnie Spector. Great talent as well as Eddie Money.
Nothing can compare to this sound of the 80's...👍

Imagine Eddie laying into this in heaven and Ronnie strolling through the pearly gates singing this classic line.
So sweet 💕
Beautiful I can also imagine Eddie Ronnie and her sister Estelle who passed in 2009 performing this song in Heaven with Estelle singing background
Hahahaha creative 🤔
May both Eddie and Ronnie finally have peace up in rock 'n roll heaven!
中2の時にあるバラエティー番組をたまたま見てこの歌のPV見てなんてカッチョいい歌だと五感刺激され初めて買った洋楽レコードがこのエディ・マネーのテイク・ミーホームトゥナイトでしたねぇ😀
So awesome. One of my favorite songs. This rejuvenated Ronnie Spector’s career after basically being a prisoner of Phil Spector for years. She was so beautiful and talented. Both are gone now. So sad.
Is it just me or is her voice freaking awesome?
PHUCKING AMAZING!...
He was fantastic but if she was not on this song it would not be the same ❤
It wasn't just her voice..
she was something special.
@@GayleTate I have to agree! But the push is I believe. Eddie would've arranged it differently.
I come back to watch this video / song often. I was just thinking Exactly the Same thing…
Eddie Money is Great BUT…. Ronnie Owns this Song 🎶
Classic rock is why they call it classic
Seen concert Long Beach Stadium 1976 and loved his music from then on, there all great music!
The way they introduced her into the video was really, really special.
I would love to go back in your Time Machine and I am always going back in time! I totally agree with you! I am a woman, but I love how Ronnie shines through the darkness and is highlighted in this song in a beautiful silhouette. Eddie looks hot, and I always love him and his voice. Eddie had much musical talent, (God I love him playing saxophone) and I love all of the songs, and I love this duet!❤️
Listening to this again on January 12, 2022, after hearing about Ronnie's passing, and imagining them singing this together in heaven. (3:21) seems such a fitting shot now. She's been taken home.
R.I.P. Veronica "Ronnie" Bennett Spector August 10, 1943 -- January 12, 2022). R.I.P. Edward "Eddie Money" Mahoney (March 21, 1949 -- September 13, 2019).
Ronnie should've been credited for this too. She was amazing.
Um... She was. I was a teenager when this came out and she was 💯 celebrated for it.
Yes I'm listening - it still rocks like it did back after my high school football games (class of '87) - at the wild parties - all of you that think you missed something unreal in the '80s - you did! We partied with the gods!
Nothing will ever be as great as 80s music
Agree 10000%
Except possibly Nirvana Smashing Pumpkins Pavement Radiohead Oasis Pearl Jam PJ Harvey Red Hot Chili Peppers POE Garbage Gin Blossoms Wallflowers Counting Crows Soundgarden Alice In Chains Blur Weezer Foo Fighters Liz Phair Cranberries Jeff Buckley Alanis Morrissette Morrissey Sheryl Crow Green Day Beastie Boys R.E.M. I’m not necessarily a fan of all those artists, but I enjoy that era of Radio Rock much more than the Radio Rock of the ‘80’s.
Amen my brother
Omg nothing like the 80s. We didn't know what we had. I'm 56 now. "I want to go back"
54 definitely
I don’t. Because back then you had to rely on luck and patience for videos like this to play on MTV. Now you can watch your favorite music videos any time you want.
