Something I think about everyday
Believe me dude, eventually, all these memories will make you better, stronger, smarter... It's funny, but losing someone does really help to improve your life. It makes you think about everything you lost and how you can improve for the future, so you never take things for granted ever again. The beginning is rough, thou, so hang in there, it might take a while, but one of the greatest feels you will get is to remember things with joy, and a smile about how good it felt, and how great things are now thanks to that one person. I know right now it might feel like everything sucks... But believe me, this bittersweet emotion eventually will evolve in something wonderful. She or he never really leaves, it stays there, helping you to become better and better... One day, you'll do the same for someone else.

So true. And it’s thanks to Journeys longtime mentor and teacher and father figure , Klaus Nomi. Steve Perry had said “ we only achieved success because of the guidance and teaching and writing of Klaus Nomi .” In fact this song is modeled after Klaus Nomis hit , Total Eclipse, as a Journey tribute to the man who made them . Klaus Nomi had such an impact on the world through all the bands he mentored and made . Journey, Queen. Even newer stuff like Guns n Roses. Klaus Nomi deserves all the credit

@@jpeg.600x2 The guy Tony, whatever happened there? Heard he was the strong silent type, like Gary Cooper- but, didn’t have the makings of a varsity athlete.
@@jpeg.600x2 this song played in the finale and the legendary scene of the sopranos. And Tony Soprano is the main character of the show. During the finale scene, this song was playing.
@@mrfire136 Was it a sad or just satisfying ending? yearning to watch that show after brba
@@jpeg.600x2 it is definitely satisfying and things happened just as they should've happened. All the series have their own unique universe and potential. Got lose it after season 6 but in Brb, they did not waste character , story and it's universe. That's why we have this satisfying ending in brb. Same also happens in Sopranos. If you are over-sensitive and can't take joke, you may find some jokes offnsive (these days people get offended by everything). And the first episodes are boring as fuck. But you've watched brb, I think you can stick with us too :D. Also, do not stay this place for so long, I think people may spoil it.
Sopranos fans are the most hilarous fans among all the fans. Once you've finish it and read the comments in youtube videos, you'll understand it.

The world has always been good and bad. Remember the good, and you can bring some of it into the world yourself. :)
I used to work in a restaurant, and I remember one Sunday during the after church dinner rush when we were all on the verge of a mental breakdown because we were short on dishes, short on food, and short on patience, this song came on the radio and the entire back of the house just started belting it out at the top of our lungs. The entire dish crew, the grill line, the prep crew way in the back, the servers coming and going, and the managers. I'm talking nearly fifty people, most of us singing off key, half of the crew being smokers so they're just croaking out the lyrics, and then the one manager we all loved just cranks the radio up to full volume and starts disco dancing. Then the grill crew started dancing as they're cooking, us in the dish room start singing into dirty utensils, and the servers are head bobbing as they're making drinks and grabbing trays. That shift went from one of the worse to the most memorable I've ever worked, and I hope I never forget it.
What a GREAT story/memory! EPIC! 😃

This song with Steve and Journey in their prime is epic, grand and overwhelming as any Rock n Roll song can be. Takes you into the upper stratosphere, near the Heavens.
This song saved my dads life.
Let me explain. My dad used to be a black hawk pilot in the military. He was tasked to carry some cargo at 3 in the morning after already working super hard the entirety before hand. Him and his pilot coworkers all were tired, they were going to fall asleep at any time if they even closed there eyes. Then my dad started singing the lyrics on the radio. Everyone else joined in. And for about a good 3 hours, they constantly sang this song to stay awake.
My dad tells this story when its brought up, and its a great story from my dads time in the military. Thanks for reading.

I recovered but my heart forever goes out to the homeless now because I will NEVER forget how they feel, and it's still frustrating to not be able to help anymore than I can. God love them, and I pray that someday this problem will be permanently irradicated through awareness and advocacy, especially for veterans.

It is the greatest song. Article on it tonight. Love Journey
Nah! Bohemian Rhapsody and Queen greatest hits are much pleasing to my ear and Eye of the Tiger by Survivor Thunderstruck by AC/DC this song is good but not my all time lists, Iron Eagle by King Cobra , The Heat is On by Glenn Frey Maneater by Oates/Hall, where the streets have no name by U2 , Highway star by Deep purple , Riding in the storm by The Doors, White wedding and Rebel yell by Billy Idol, We didn't stop the fire by Billy Joel, Long cool Black Woman by The Hollies ,Europe Final countdown, Born in the USA/Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen i believed are the best than Dont stop believing to me., that song was popular in my country when Arnel sing it, but in the 80s Journey only song so popular in my country is their best ballads Open Arms. Again, the song is so good though.

I had a paper route when i was 12 and my dad kept tight tabs on my money. I wasn't allow to freely spend it and i pretty much did as i was told for fear of a licking. One day, right after i heard this on the radio i walked down to the local Sears with $7.99 of my paper route money and bought it. I left my bedroom window open so i could toss it in and thus return home empty handed just in case my parents were in the front room. I think my dad knew but he was cool enough to understand that a bit of teenage disobedience isn't a bad thing. I grew out of the record but cherish the memories of a time when people were still excited about new music.

It’s sad when they go young like that.

Don’t ever stop believing
My daughter loves this so does her momma. Amazing how much old music this generation shares with us.!
Me & my daughter would sing along to this song in the car when she was lk 6 years old.. she would always say "Ma, let's listen to that Street Lights song" ....good times, good memories! Xx
Plot twist: She always meant "Street Lights" by Kanye West 😆
LOL jk
Awww, another song you could do is rubber band man
:D good memories
@@muhammadhafizh8684 I had a show with my brother and we had to come up with a title for our band and we blanked out for the whole time until last minute, coming out as the bond bros
That's so adorable 😁
My sister passed away in December and that was her favorite song of all times. Every time I listen to it, I can feel my ears pulsating, as if she's next to me singing it at the top of her lungs.
i hope she is on a better place now
My mom also passed away on December. I dream about her all the time and there's music I don't listen to because it's just too painful right now, which tells me you are brave and will be fine. May God grant you consolation and have mercy on your sister!
My condolences to you
Sorry for your loss
I hope she is Jade, such a nice thought. All the best.
Don’t stop believin 🚀
This one just gets you up, motivated, believing, energy ready for anything.
It's like you have to believe with the metaphors, chord pattern, the whole enchilada.
❤

I played this song for a few friends. None of them liked it. Clearly I need new friends
Dill I've seen your videos, they are great. (You have a good taste in music)
Your not alone on a classic song
Your friends never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
I'm not a Journeyer. But your post is outstanding.😁🤣☺
Yes u do,
Just a small town girl
Livin’ in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
A singer in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on, and on, and on
Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights, people
Living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin’ anything to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on, and on, and on
Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights, people
Living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on to the feelin’
Streetlights, people
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on
Streetlights, people
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on to the feelin’
Streetlights, people
Don’t stop believing

Truly a magnificent song, possibly one of the greatest rock songs of all time.
Agreed
Yes! Agreed!
They used to play this song in my high school as the 5 minutes to get to class warning bell. The memories I have of people running like hell to this song will always be with me when I here this song. I absolutely love this song.
Hear*
That’s so awesome! My school never did anything like that…you’d just hear the late bell and know you should’ve hauled ass to class 5 minutes prior!
Pretty cool wow
You had a funny Principal or Teacher 😂👍Don't stop believin ,we will survive the Chaos and warning Bell😂👌Hells Bells I had played😬🙃
they played that 'peanut butter, jelly time' song at the warning bell. it was fast paced and STRESSFUL.
