Regarding " in tamil song was very carnatic-devotional", even the telugu version is both Carnatic (the great S.Rajeshwara Rao tuned this to the melodious Hindolam) and Devotional (in praise of Lord Krishna). The tamil version also sung in the same raga, in praise of Lord Subramanya Swamy is equally melodius (probably sung by ML Vasanathakumari)!! Doesn't matter who produced first, we, Indians are blessed to have such great musicians!!!

The tamil original was sung by Radha Jayalakshmi and the song itself was composed by MSV. Even though MSV's favorite female singer is P Susheela, he gave this song to carnatic musician R Jayalakshmi while a very popular duet song with P B Srinivas went to Susheela!
The original tune was composed by M.S.Viswanathan for Tamil version of this movie which was released earlier. If I remember correctly, name of the Tamil movie was Motor Sundaram Pillali. Probably, the producer/director might have insisted and Kodandapani used the same tune. Nothing wrong. They gave an excellent number. And in Tamil version, it wasn't Suseela, but some other singer sang this song.
These days there is no movie song which uses "mansau", "Brindavanam" ... like words. All loathful words ("notanki notanki"...). P. Suseela garu sang this excellent song very well. I must have heard this paata many many times.

పి.సుశీలగారు ఈ రోజు 83ఏళ్ళ ఆమే కావచ్చు. కాని ఈ పాట పాడిన సమయంలో ఆమె వయసు కేవలం 33 సంవత్సరాలు (1968). మనము ఎప్పుడు ఈ పాట విన్నా, ఎన్ని దశాబ్ధాలు గడిచినా ఈ పాట పాడినప్పుడు ఆమె వయసు 33 సంవత్సరాలే. అందువల్ల ఆమెను సుశీల అంటేనే బాగుంటుంది. ఏ సినిమా టైటిల్స్ లో కూడ ఆమె పేరు సుశీలమ్మ అని ఎక్కడ మనము చూడము. ఆమె మీద గౌరంతో సుశీలమ్మ అంటే అది వేరే సంగతి. ఎందరో తెలుగువారిలాగ నేనూ ఆమె అభిమానినే. కాని ఈ పాటలు పాడిప్పుడు ఆమె యువతి కాబట్టి సుశీల అంటేనే బాగుంటుంది.

Regarding " in tamil song was very carnatic-devotional", even the telugu version is both Carnatic (the great S.Rajeshwara Rao tuned this to the melodious Hindolam) and Devotional (in praise of Lord Krishna). The tamil version also sung in the same raga, in praise of Lord Subramanya Swamy is equally melodius (probably sung by ML Vasanathakumari)!! Doesn't matter who produced first, we, Indians are blessed to have such great musicians!!!

The tamil original was sung by Radha Jayalakshmi and the song itself was composed by MSV. Even though MSV's favorite female singer is P Susheela, he gave this song to carnatic musician R Jayalakshmi while a very popular duet song with P B Srinivas went to Susheela!

The original tune was composed by M.S.Viswanathan for Tamil version of this movie which was released earlier. If I remember correctly, name of the Tamil movie was Motor Sundaram Pillali. Probably, the producer/director might have insisted and Kodandapani used the same tune. Nothing wrong. They gave an excellent number. And in Tamil version, it wasn't Suseela, but some other singer sang this song.
