My Dad isn't the greatest guy in the world, but didn't deserve what his 2nd wife did to him. She convinced her adolescent daughter to say he had molested her so she could divorce him and not have to pay him for doing a complete remodel of her house. It was proved in court she was lying and had told her daughter to lie too. Dad told me years later if she'd have just been honest and asked for a divorce he would have said yeah and simply moved out, and not tried to get any money out if her.

7:30 that cannot be legal right? I mean, I can't believe that you can take a healthy dog to the vet and put it down just because. If there is no medical reason to euthanize it it should be illegal, right?

    • @alexisgrunden1556
      @alexisgrunden1556 2 ปีที่แล้ว +43

Regrettably, in most places, dogs/cats are legally regarded as property, so while this is horrifically unethical and immoral, it's _technically_ not illegal in many places. However, if it's done before a divorce is finalized, it proves malicious intent, and can be used to rake the pet-murderer over the coals.
A lot of vets will refuse to euthanize perfectly healthy animals just because of vicious psychos like this.

My uncle buys auctioned off storage units as well. When I was a teenager, during the summers I would help him every day. Up to 10 auctions a day, sometimes we would score several units that would have to be emptied within 48 hours. Just him and I and sometimes my brother or another friend to help us. Many times the person who the unit would belong to would try to approach us and get their stuff back. We would always give them their personal belongings: things like family photos, documents, schooling things, and any toys that belonged to their children. However, there were a few times where they would try getting their stuff back by first verbally assaulting us and trying to block our way to the storage locker. It has gotten to the point where they've had to be removed by the police. And nowadays, if their unit is already in collections and past due, the renter is no longer allowed on the premises. They must first catch up their payment online or over the phone. They're no longer even allowed to catch the payment up in the office since there have been attempts to bypass the office and break through the door to get to their unit. People will get crazy fast once they realize they've lost something they wanted that used to be theirs. I eventually just had to start telling myself that these people have had PLENTY of time to get their financial affairs in order by the time their unit is sent to auction. Takes like half a year for it to get to that point.

The Guy who was more worried about his motorcycle than his kids sounds like my biodad. Only it was less Motorcycle and more his cars. Yes, cars. (One race car, the other a classic 1968 Mach 1 Fastback Mustang that was not yet road ready that he was rebuilding.) He got to keep the cars. And that was all he got to keep. He lost the house, my brother and I, and the Dog. He also got to keep his retirement, however, paying his exorbitant lawyer fees since he wanted the most expensive in town he had to pull it early, so he didn't actually get to keep that either. When it was discovered he was an abuser he lost all his friends who went to my mom and backed her. And the classic car ended up getting sold ten years later and he never finished rebuilding it. My brother and I haven't seen him since our great grandma died eight years ago. They divorced in 2001.

My paternal uncle (my dad’s fraternal twin brother) and his oldest daughter were both the victims of a messy divorce. My uncle got married to a woman years before he met my aunt, and they had a daughter (my cousin)together. A few years after their daughter was born, his first wife divorced him, and thanks to Oklahoma divorce court laws, she got primary child custody. My uncle was only allowed supervised visits during the weekends, so his ex-wife began working unpaid overtime during the weekends to give him as little time to visit their daughter as possible. This resulted in my cousin suffering from severe abandonment issues, which continue to affect her to this day. My uncle was able to move past that by asking his second wife (my aunt) to keep her maiden name, and having their two daughters have her maiden name instead of his last name. He didn’t want to be reminded that he used to share a last name with that sociopath he married first, or that he lost primary child custody to her.

My father refused to work, and because the laws were the way they were at the time, it meant he mostly got out of paying for child support. His mother would give him rent and food money. He did it to punish my mom, who was working her ass off to take care of us kids. I mean, it's not like he was asking for custody, or even partial custody, and my mom didn't ask for alimony. It was crazy. My mom was constantly trying to take him to court, but again, they couldn't compel him to work, therefore little to no child support. I understand that the laws are different now, and I'm glad.

That's too grey an area for it to be an actual law. That's because, technically, it's always intentional when an animal is put down. It may not be what some people want to do, but they still have to intentionally decide the animal can no longer live.

Don´t marry. And if you do, you better have the best divorce lawyer in town on fast dial.
On an unrelated note, people that are about to divorce: TAKE NOTE! These people have that shit figured out.

    That last story though, jeez.
Women are not property, they're people.
If a person decides that they don't love you anymore and loves someone else, that is neither an excuse nor justification for brutalizing a third party when you feel like your spouse betrayed you. Any evidence or the complete lack of details aside, it is borderline psychopathic to direct your rage towards the person who didn't cheat on you instead of the person who actually cheated.
If the dad had a problem with with his wife, he should bring them up with his wife, not the poor clown she decided to move on with who may or may not even have been informed or misinformed about her current martial status.
And the fact that some people and/or cops thinks this is a mix of funny or justifiable is also somewhat disgusting as it propagates the problem.

I’m not even surprised that disgusting crap like this goes on all the time everywhere. Humans are broken, greedy, evil creatures that delight in harming others and hoarding unnecessary wealth, and we especially love it when we can do both at the same time.

If the wife doesn't love him, then she can say it, not go behind his back
The man she cheated on him with should have at least a little common sense if he wants to actually partner with her. "She's coming to me, she cant possibly be in a relationship"
If he attacked his wife, it'd be domestic abuse, much harsher than simple battery
