My lawyer friend told me about a case that happened during the recession. Woman cheats, then divorces her husband, convinces the 17-year-old daughter to accuse her dad of touching her and gets a restraining order, in order to get a better deal in the divorce. The dad responds by disowning the daughter in the courtroom while he was on the stand, causing her to break down. In desperation, she comes clean to the judge, admtting she commited perjury, but the damage was done. She had to be seperated from her mother when the daughter attacked her. All attempts at reconcilation were rejected, and the father moved out of state. The daughter went down a downward spiral of drugs, sex and alcohol until she died at age 22, still begging for her father's forgiveness. He didn't show up for her funeral. The mom still claims she did nothing wrong.

I have a friend whose ex-husband just won't leave her alone. She made more money than him and he got custody, so she pays him child support. Child is about to turn 18 next year. He doesn't want to lose that support. He's scrambling to try to get the support extended. Most recent attempt I heard about was that in reading the divorce decree he found something about an end date. He tried to use this to say that their divorce ended. Somehow they were un-divorced? The man is desperate.

I remember people being critical of Naruto's story part where it was said that the issue that one of the main families had was that they had a genetic flaw that caused their brains to flip from loving someone to absolutely HATING if they perceived that love to be lost, and that it was dumb. Stories like this make me think that it was completely accurate. Seriously, what the hell goes on in people's brains where they become so damn vicious, nasty, and POS-ity?

@@WolfStreak It was sometime in the last arcs. Basically someone asked "Why in the hell are the Uchiha always causing such drama and issues" and the answer was "They have a brain flaw that makes them love fiercely, have a hard time expressing their emotions, and causes their love to flip to murderous hate if the object of their love is seen to scorn them" which is why Madara and Sasuke and others all had such issues and tended to make mountains out of molehills. Supposedly the Sharigan eye thing is a byproduct of this brain flaw, somehow.

Yeah... Any court that would hand over an animal in a divorce proceeding where the person receiving the animal has it put down should be instantly given animal cruelty charges alongside the person who received the animal.
