Nora seems nice but I'm confused why she applied for the contest if she already thought they weren't going to be a match! It comes off sounding like she just did it for the story, when some of the other women who applied may have felt they would be genuinely good matches. I am rooting for you Jared!

I liked this episode! I like that Nora is actively dating & has a great attitude. She knows it's a numbers game.
It was good to see a date, know it's not a match & move on. No one has to be rejected or take anything personally.

If I went out on a date with a guy I had never met, and he did not text after the date, even if he never wanted to go out on another date… If you did not send a text, I think that would be very rude.

LOL. This is the girl that applied? Girl, you knew your lifestyles were too different. Better to just go to one of his shows and say hi to him, why waste his time and all of our time for this snooze fest. She did this for the "story" and it's annoying that the producers just ignored glaring incompatibilities.

I get what you’re saying and agree to an extent but it’s all relative. If we were to use a number scale, I’m sure a lot of people would rate them about the same. Even rated the same, she seems nice and cute but not the match for Jared.

This was fun... I still think a first date should be an activity, something fun where you are moving around and talking but I'm just an aging millenial lol.
I feel that if Jared goes out with someone who knows who he is, both parties should pretend they don't so Jared doesn't feel like he's on
Nora seems nice but she tries to look naive which makes her actions confusing, she says it’s out of character for her to apply for this date while she applied knowing she is not a match in lifestyle moreover she rounded up her age to not miss the bracket so she tried her best, then she has been on 23 first dates (for those who has been on the apps this number mean saying yes or asking out any guy you talked to on the app with no filter, where she also explains many bad dates) + when he met Jared she already is talking to another guy and setting up her second date, this is all ok given Jared is also a popular guy with women but if she does not play as a naive shy girl and just own herself it would be nicer. overall she reminds me of competitive studious people who want to win in every contest without knowing if that is really for them or making them happy
I'm late to this one but in case any of the team goes to read these and can give this experience another go with Jared. Nora seems sweet but lowkey seems like she thought Jared was cool and it would be cool to have a one-time podcaster date vs. actually knowing who Jared is behind the scenes and someone she could actually find something with. No hate to her, but didn't feel like she took it seriously.

Also, even though I don't drink, I love going to bars before they get crowded and sitting at the bar. Bar stool dates are awesome! But yeah, coffee dates are better for first dates.

I don't think Jared goes for high maintenance hot, at all! Total opposite. I just think Nora was too young for him.
Well she’s less physically attractive than him and men are much more physical when it comes to a first impression. If they arent instantly attracted, its unlikely theyll be into it. Then she tells him she has been on tons of dates and has one the next day - that would have turned a guy off even more. Its like she wasn’t really into the date and did it more for her mom. She knows Jared likes to go out and shes a homebody, so they’re not compatible in any way. She really only won the contest cuz she’s a Yale grad with good writing background

I agree her interview wasn’t very entertaining but… Maybe she was just nervous or uncomfortable. I’m sure she isn’t used to being on podcasts. I thought she would have been more engaging given her schooling and job but it doesn’t always work that way.
