I thought Nick and Vanessa were so much better during this reunion so I'm surprised that J&J hated them so much! It felt like they took criticism from the fans from the past seasons and actually implemented it.
If the viewer leaves a reunion episode of a relationship show not knowing who is in or not in a relationship then you’ve done a horrible job at hosting a show.

Haven’t watched a minute of the actual show so totally prepared to take their review as gospel including the critique of Nick and Vanessa. I’m an Andy Cohen fan too. However, I thought it got really icky when the discussion dove into Nick and his ex-wife Jessica and the dynamic they portrayed on an edited reality show from 20 years ago, who is “winning” today, and implying the current marriage is also somehow in jeopardy. I’m sure no one is the same person after 20 years, harsh.🫤
They’re only slightly better because the bar was in hell. They have no idea how to genuinely read the room. They’re also too close to these contestants.
Has everyone forgotten that they’re technically not supposed to break up before the wedding??? The whole thing is to see if they say “i do” AT THE ALTAR!!!
Why would they wait to break up tho… who wants to spend even another night living with someone you don’t want to be with, life is toooo short for that BS. And if Laura hadn’t kicked out Jarameamray the whole audience would be like wtf girl why are you still living with that man?!
Seems like that’s changed. I mean, there’s situations where realistically you cannot remain in the relationship. Like with kenneth and jeramey. Nothing to do with that. Also if you already know it’s no but go to the altar, it ruins the spirit of the dhow because at that point you’re satisfying entertainment, not a genuine search for love.
In all fairness to Jimmy, I think production dictates the date activities and timing of the breakup so they can film it (especially if they know it’s happening in advance).
The commentary about Jeramy and Sarah Ann acting like a high school relationship was spot on. We’ve all been there, but let’s not keep acting like that after 20 years old haha
Jimmy did break up with Chelsea days before that was taped. The producers made him do it again on tape. She already knew it so he was shocked at her response acting like she didn't know anything about it. They had a long conversation a couple days before where he told her the trust was broken and he could not be with her so she was not blindsided, she knew it was coming
I left an angry voice note to my sister giving my take on the reunion and felt like this captured my thoughts perfectly. We need Andy Cohen STAT and the Trevor bashing vs how much Chelsea was let off the hook was insane!!!
I don't think Clay and Jimmy had a choice about when they could call it off, seeing as there's a fine if you don't go to the altar on that show. Jimmy probably had to get special permission to do it when he did and they proabably didn't let him do it any sooner because they needed the draaaama to draaaag out--and the only reason they didn't have to go all the way to the altar was because they got THAT heartbreak moment with Clay and AD.
So I loved this but Jordana I will say, I think Brittany is just an affectionate southern woman and that’s why she was being touchy. This might be a cultural difference but generally where I grew up in the south people are very physically affectionate. My grandma and mom do stuff like that. Just my 2 cents.
TOTALLY agree about the way men choose to breakup. My ex broke up with me while we were on a date that he planned. got me flowers, bought me an expensive dinner, told me he loved me, BOOM, "i wanna breakup" lmaooo
I’m kind of annoyed that people keep poking at Amy and Johnny about birth control when it’s not our business lol. If Amy didn’t want to tell us exactly what she’s on during national television I don’t blame her and no one should feel like they’re owed that information.
I randomly read the Jessica Simpson autobiography, as someone who grew up watching Newlyweds as THE DREAM relationship, reading her book and then rematching Newlyweds, it clicked how fing TOXIC their relationship was and how so many people my age (elder millennial) learned to be toxic. Then paralleled with the Britney book.
Clay is the prime example of "when people tell you who they are, believe them". He said throughout, "I'm not sure I'm a good person", "I don't know if I can be faithful", etc., etc. He was telling her he wasn't ready prior to the wedding. AD is the type of woman men take advantage of because she is so naïve and blind to it all. Also why go on a show which the end goal is getting married, if you're not ready to get married!

Nick and Vanessa did better than previous reunions BUT thats doesnt mean they were good. I pray they get rid of them, the only reason at this point to keep them is to Jareds point that I go in partly watching to see how bad they will be. All the old couples should have just stayed home, literally could not care less
I saw an interview with Chelsea post reunion on TH-cam (with Sarah Alysse) where she talks about what they edited out and now I’m on her side. The main one is that on that big fight night Jimmy called her from the bed saying he was going to sleep and then accidentally butt called her and she heard he was with a bunch of people and making plans to go out to a bar… So maybe that’s why they didn’t ask her anything, scared the show would look bad…
Once I catch people in multiple lies I become too skeptical to believe them. She was constantly twisting things for different contexts to the point that I realized she isn’t tracking reality accurately at all.
Jordana I agree with everything (knee touching esp), EXCEPT the body language comment about AD! I’m not an expert either but to be honest my impression was that she was very much still into him. It was giving 14 year old girl around the boy she likes to me. Doing a terrible job of being hard to get or something lol. I think she’s being far too nice with a man who humiliated her in many ways. I noticed during the show she seemed fun/smart/great to be around her friends and family. But around Clay she can’t hold up lol
