Judy died penniless. It’s nice to see her daughters (I assume) spent a great deal of money moving her to Hollywood Forever cemetery. A beautiful tribute to a super star.
June 22nd this year was the 49th anniversary of Judy Garland's passing. it's hard for me to imagine that this legend has been gone longer than she was here with us. True talent never dies. Thank you for the remarkable tribute.
I have to admit, I was expecting kind of a dry "here's this grave, here's that grave". I was pleasantly surprised. The bios and especially the clips made the tour quite interesting.
@Monica Blue What is your point! Your comment reads insulting. Mr. Dark has never taken credit alone for his channel. The language of your comment made it sound like Mr. Dark takes full credit for the production. The credits list him as the "host". He is the face of Hollywood Graveyard.
I enjoy this series. He does it with accolades to the late stars as well as dignity. His crisp, American English is well written and spoken. Thanks for the entertaining education of the movie business!
Even though she was before my time, I absolutely love Judy Garland; such powerful singer and actress. Hers is heart felt singing. Her acting powerful, superb. What a shame she went home so soon! May she rest in heavenly peace!
It’s Rumored Clifton not only Haunts it but supposedly watches over it. My Grandmother is buried there, the 70’s the cemetery ran in to decline. At least now it’s cheerful place .
Great job as usual, man. I got fond memories of Wizard of Oz back in Middle School since we're on the subject of the great Judy Garland. I happen to have played the Lion for a production of Wizard of Oz in Middle School and lots of folks said I channeled Bert Lahr's Lion. I got a much more appreciation and love of the movie due to that role. I studied it alot for this play and it definitely paid off.
I'm not usually fascinated by cemeteries but you've done a really good job of making this interesting to me as a film fan, by your knowledge, research and introducing names long forgotten and unknown! I appreciate the accompanying film clips, photos, and quick bios! Thanks for all your hard work in this series! Have you thought of doing something similar with the existing homes of classic film stars?
They say you die twice. The first i when your body dies, and the second is when your name is spoken for the last time. Thanks for speaking names to keep them alive.
Thank you so much for these videos. They're educational and well made so the living can enjoy and I'm sure the dead can rest in peace knowing you've honored their legacies. I know these videos are hard work but your talent and dedication are much appreciated.
Your videos are awesome. Being an avid movie goer. I never learned so much about famous actors and actors until i came across your TH-cam channel. Love the bit about the creator and start of Superman.
Thank you for visiting the crypt of Actress Joan Hackett. She's my absolute favorite actress. She is largely forgotten in today's times but her performances have always captivated me.She had this cute little nervous bubbly style of acting in her roles which I always thought was charming. Some of her performances include "Will Penney" (1968),"Support Your Local Sheriff" (1967)," Only When I Laugh" (1981),"Reflections of Murder" (1974),and my personal favorite "The Last Of Shelia" (1973).Her TV roles include apperances on "Taxi","The Love Boat" and many more television roles.I discovered her by watching a 1962 TV show version of the film "Rebecca" on her appearance alongside Actor James Mason in the sixties tv show "Theatere 62".She was sadly diagnosed with ovarian cancer in late 1981 but bravely got up from her wheelchair to accept a Golden Globe Award for her role as Toby Landau in "Only When I Laugh" in 1982.She died on October 8,1983 of ovarian cancer in an Encino Hospital.A lifelong Catholic,Joan's funeral mass was held at Saint Victor Catholic Church in Hollywood with numerous celebrities in attendance. She was entombed in a crypt in the Abbey of Psalms Mausoleum later that day. Her epitaph is in reference to her love and deep belief of beauty sleep. Side Note: Joan's eldest sister,Theresa Hackett, is entombed immediately to the right of Joan. She died on September 19,1984,almost one year after Joan's death.
Actor Jon Gries- Horace - aka 'Button', was interviewed on Rob Words channel "A Word On Westerns". He fondly recalled that Joan took him under her wing during location production of "Will Penney" (1968), as his dad- the director Tom Gries- was extremely busy, and kept the young lad entertained and occupied, a very unselfish thing for her to do, especially since she had no obligation to be the nanny of the production.
Well My Dark...each one of your guided tours gets better and better, and your narration and interesting facts you are able to give us on the people whose graves you visit is so interesting! And must have taken ages to research and put together . I love your jauntiness as you visit these places, commenting on your love of strange trees, and the wildlife to avoid hitting should we ever manage to visit. I live in the U.K. with failing health unfortunately, but with you I can travel the world as it were, and meet so many celebrities of days gone by. From the bottom of my heart I thank, and commend you for such Stirling work. Please keep it up! Love and very best wishes. Helen in UK xxx 👏🏻👏🏻👍🙋😘
I’ve e been a fan of Judy since I was 15. I’m from the UK and would love to see her resting place. Had no idea she’d been moved. Glad she’s back in California.❤️❤️🌼🌼

About threes weeks ago I come to California for vacation with my friend and we visited Hollywood Forever. Its a beautiful cemetary and also we saw Judy Garland and also we didnt knew Chris Cornell from soundgarden is there.
vivalasharma Judy is buried in New York they actually will put fake graves and they are laid to rest someplace else Judy Garland isn't buried in California
Thank you again for these wonderful programs. Highlighting these long ago figures of the "old Hollywood" has made me dig into their backgrounds and discover some really interesting people.
Fabulous! Thankyou from one who absolutely adore and appreciated the actors of 1930s- 1950s. It's such a thrill to be able to have access to their final resting places. Not because I'm strange- but just because it's human curiosity to be interested in what ultimately becomes of those wonderful, talented actors that we love to watch. Xx
Oh my! You have succeeded in pushing the envelope of excellence even higher. Your introduction of the cemetery reflects the thorough research that discerning viewers have come to expect. Your thoughtful mentioning of Karie Bible is greatly appreciated. Karie is a wonderfully captivating individual. I think few viewers truly appreciate the labor-intensive nature of your work. Your videos are truly exquisite productions that only keep getting better. And many thanks for the magnificent peacocks. They are beautiful creatures; especially the ones with mustaches.
I got chills every time i see you videos love the golden era of movies please keep up the good work and lets honor the real stars forgotten in time and thanks for your work is perfect
Thank you for the videos.... I really like the way you show respect to the deceased by showing how they lived. Keep up the good work. I'm really enjoying seeing them.
I just love ALL your videos. So educational. What movies each person played in and how old they were when they died, and how they died. Thank you for making these. It brings a sense of peace through me when I tour with you. Keep them coming and thank you for making them.
Arthur I love the Hollywood Graveyard tours. I would like to make a suggestion you don't always state how the star died. Some of them die very young and I think it would be interesting to your viewers to add that information in.
In Pittsburgh, PA there is a "Hollywood Cemetery" (On California Ave., next to Uniondale Cemetery.) At one time it was THE premier cemetery with many notables. It's also one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the city but little-known because most of it is not visible from the street. Enter the gate, go around the bend and it will astound you.
Wow, I have been sitting here watching these videos for hours. You’re absolutely amazing! Thank you for not just walking & showing them.. the info is great!❤️
I've been looking forward to this one for a while now. Love it, love it, love it!!! Thanks for visiting Judy for me! Well done Arthur...can't wait to see part 2!!!
Your videos are timeless. Despite the fact this was made years ago, they can be enjoyed by film and music star enthusiasts anytime. I'm a fan of Clifton Webb movies. Laura is one of my favorite film noir movies. Thank you Mr. Dark for getting us close to these Hollywood icons!
We just happened to find you videos. They are amazing. Your respect, the way you pay homage and the history is amazing and very much appreciated. ❤️❤️❤️
Wow! I think that you read my mind. I was hoping that you would have Norma Talmadge. My grandmother was named after her, Norma being her first name and Talmadge her middle name. My great grandmother wrote Norma Talmadge to tell her she had named her daughter after her. She sent her an autographed photo.
My uncle is interred in the columbarium. It’s a beautiful place. Uncle lived most of his life in Hollywood. So glad we were able to fulfill his wish of staying in the city that he loved and called home. Didn’t realize at time of his interment that he was surrounded by legendary film stars. RIP dear uncle. You’re where you were meant to be, among the stars! 🙏🏽❤️
What a lively and cheerful cemetery! A place I would like to be buried. So happy it is kept “alive” with the tours and movie nights, etc. Helps to know noone is forgotten at that place.
One grave that you missed at this location is that of Maude Fealy. She was a 1910s stage actress who transitioned into both silent films and talkies. She appeared in every Cecil B. DeMille movie and her mother (who is interred above her) was also an actress. She died in 1971 and is interred at the Abbey of the Psalms Mausoleum. Love these videos!
There are so many to recall from The Golden Age of Hollywood.. Professional ,talented, with the real American spirit that loved our country. They are missed.
I have watched the entire series of Hollywood Graveyard. I must say that your presentation is excellent and I really enjoy the facts, soundbites and video clips that you add as well. Well done!
En verdad está muy , pero que muy bien. Perfectamente documentado, muy concreto, ligero y ameno. Bien dirigido, desde la introducción al final. No solo este, sino todos los que tours realizados por el mismo chico. Excelente!!!
Is this the one you’ve all been waiting for? I hope you enjoy it! And if you’re in Florida, please be safe!

Judy died penniless. It’s nice to see her daughters (I assume) spent a great deal of money moving her to Hollywood Forever cemetery. A beautiful tribute to a super star.
My opinion one of the biggest and brightest stars ever. She passed so young.

today is 22 June .... I misses her 😢😢
I have to admit, I was expecting kind of a dry "here's this grave, here's that grave". I was pleasantly surprised. The bios and especially the clips made the tour quite interesting.
Yes, that is the incredible draw of this Channel. It brings you-in like a friend, not like a schmuck. Well-done to this Channel!
Your account deserves way more recognition. The amount of work/research you put into your videos is amazing! xx
Agreed!
@Monica Blue What is your point! Your comment reads insulting. Mr. Dark has never taken credit alone for his channel. The language of your comment made it sound like Mr. Dark takes full credit for the production. The credits list him as the "host". He is the face of Hollywood Graveyard.
Absolutely
Judy's new crypt is absolutely beautiful. Deserving of her - one of the greatest performers of all time.
I remember going there and I saw Judy Garlands Grave. She's my favorite actress and was very talented.
I'm so GLAD Judy Garland is back in 'Hollywood' where she belongs!!!!
Judy was originally buried at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale,NY
Why don't go and join her!
