Two Disney Legends! Friz Freleng and Robert Sherman. Friz was a personal buddy of Walt's and worked for him until Universal stole the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, when he went to work for Universal and later WB! And of course, who couldn't hum along to a Sherman Bros song?

I have always regretted that we didn’t. It would have been an amazing memory of an amazing night and time in life. Everything seemed so much simpler back then. He made our night unforgettable. You did a fabulous job! Thank you! I am the designated caretaker of some family members' graves, and nothing really creeps me out. I am only sad to see infants' and small children's graves. You ask, "What did you learn today with this tour?". I learned that many of my favorite stars, like Shelley Winters, were Jewish. Somehow I had never thought about a "star's" religion before, so that was cool. Keep producing! You have a great voice, excellent narrative passages, and should have your own TV Show!! Best wishes, Roxie Taylor

The Poseidon Adventure had the greatest actors in Hollywood. Shelly Winters had some incredibly memorable scenes. I can still picture her swimming underwater and dying when she reached the other side. She said when she was young she was a great swimmer. Her acting chops were first rate. She did a great job in Lolita. When they showed the poster with the sunglasses, I realized again what a genius Stanley Kubrick was. I bet he had something to do with those sunglasses!

Great as always! I'm always amazed at the plethora or stars out there. Sorrell Booke was mostly known for his role as Boss Hogg on Dukes of Hazard but he had been on many other shows including MASH that you featured. He was a general on that show which this ties into something else he did. He was a highly intelligent man. He had degrees from Yale and Columbia. He mastered 5 languages which allowed him to be commissioned as a lieutenant during the Korean War. He was able to make good use of his languages in Counter Intelligence.

Neil started Casablanca Records in the 70’s discovering Kiss and many Disco artist- ie Donna Summer Village People. Before that he worked for Buddha Records - single handedly creating Bubble Gum music- ie The Archie’s- after he sold Casablanca he discovered Joan Jett but died soon after from cancer.

As a follow up, I grew up in Southern California, and there were many times traveling that part of the 405 freeway.
You couldn't help but notice the columns on the hillside. For the longest time, I didn't know what it was until an uncle of mine told me that it was
Jolson's tomb! After seeing this video, on my next visit to L.A., I will make it a point to visit there and pay my respects.
I also need to visit Forest Lawn Glendale, to pay respects to a great film animator and painter, Oskar Fischinger!
From what I understand, he is buried in the same area as Walt Disney. Oskar had worked on "Fantasia", but left Disney before its completion.
It is rumored that his work was used for the effect of the Blue Fairy's wand in "Pinocchio"!

Part of the reason that "Chinatown" is my favorite film, is because of Jerry Goldsmith's haunting score.
I knew there would be something special about it from the first notes of that trumpet solo at the opening credits.
While I can think of other films and the scores that went with them, I can't think of one that captured the mood and time period (1930's)
the way this one did! The Art Deco period set to music! Others may disagree, but for me this was his finest work. He nailed it!
    Rest in Peace, Jerry!

Krystal Summerford WTH is wrong with THAT? I swear, some people have wayyyy too much time on their hands to find something wrong with a perfectly suitable and benign sign-off quote..get a life, seriously..maybe instead just try and appreciate the research and high quality production of a video instead of being so petty..

Kat Westwood Are you serious?!?! Hahahahaha wooowww! I meant because that meant the video was over you moron. How about instead of trolling other peoples comments you go find yourself a hobby. Holy crap, thanks for the laugh though. Get a grip lady.

    • @kattilathehun3115
      @kattilathehun3115 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Krystal Summerford Well now that you've clarified what you actually meant, I apologize and see that I had totally misunderstood your original meaning..no need to call me a moron, though..you know these days people nitpick and troll over the most insipid things and typed words can be easily mistaken for the opposite meaning. I clearly misunderstood you, and again, my apologies for coming down on you. So NOW I get it, and I am totally with you, I don't want his video tours to end either! They are awesome and I can't get enough. Peace..

Like many I am a big fan of M*A*S*H and the respected name Larry Gelbart has flashed in front of my eyes hundreds of times.... but ... I had no idea that the man co-wrote my all-time favorite musical comedy "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" until just now while watching this. So thank-you very much for educating me and thank-you Larry for all the wonderful laughter you brought me and so many others.

Thanks for creating a great upload.
I'd like to point out that Jerry Goldsmiths masterpiece was Alien, still creepy as hell and was used in Alien Covenant.
Victor Morrow for me, I remember him best for being in King Creole with Elvis Presley which was Elvis's best film and his favourite. Mainly due to it being originally for James Dean.
Vic was perfect for that role.

I didn’t know about Nell being Jewish but on a visit to the Jewish museum in south beach a few years ago they had a show called something like “what makes someone Jewish”. Great show. It included Elvis and Frida Khalo who identified as being Jewish since they had direct Jewish ancestry.
