I work in a memory care unit doing activities for Alzheimer's patients. I've been doing this job for over a year and I lost one of my original residents. Watching this seeing people not forgotten brings me some happiness. If you have anyone in your life whether they be friends family or close associates that are in the same situation in retirement homes, please visit them. It breaks my heart at the lack of people who come and visit their friends and family. Remember to love always and spread it around.
We had to put my mom in memory care after she suffered from a stroke. I went every other day and would bring her favorite hair dye. Sometimes she got one of the wonderful memory care staff mixed up with me as we both had similar features. She’d just go along with it and spent hours with her. It gave me a break some days as I also had a young daughter in competitive gymnastics. Bless her heart, I couldn’t thank her enough for stepping in as me. My mom passed away with me on one side and my sister on the other at the hospital following a blood clot. It was a beautiful passing even though it hurt. TY FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO. I understand. ♥️🕊
My husband has altzheimers and is now in a memory care unit. When I go visit we always binge watch Hollywood Graveyard. Half the time my husband can’t remember my name…..but he always remembers Arthur Dark’s name. He asks to see the Mr. Dark videos. Watching these videos is a way to have fun together. One of the few ways we can these days. I’ll be forever grateful to Arthur Dark for sharing his time and his talents with us.

Arthur, it is always a gift when I see another one of your presentations. I only want to comment on the Sid Caesar segment. It is sad to see he has no memorial, he was a great comedian. My father, God rest his soul, was a great fan of Caesar's work. I will never forget a skit he did on the Show of Shows. He played a submarine commander and he kept running into low hanging pipes during the skit. Finally he said, "If the Germans don't get me these pipes will." My dad broke out into laughter as I ever saw him laugh. For years he would recite that line. Thanks Arthur for another excellent presentation.
Bob Saget's grave. That one hit me hard, as Full House is a favorite show of mine. His much too early death was a shock to me. Thanks for visiting his grave.
It was nice to see Helen Forrest remembered. She played a several night engagement at a club in New York where I worked in the 1970s and I interacted with her a few times. She still looked great and wore strapless sequined skin tight gowns. She also had a huge crush on our maitre d lol. Wonderful singer.
I grew up watching Bob Saget on Full House and AFHV. He was basically my tv dad. I was so sad when he went, especially so soon after Norm Macdonald. Rest easy Bob, thanks for the childhood memories! ❤️
I love Helen Forrest. Every few weeks I'll play my favorite of her songs, "I'll Buy That Dream" with Dick Haymes. And that was so sweet to see the Kents' markers.
Thank you for remembering Disney Legend Marty Sklar. I knew Marty later in his career when he was a Disney Ambassador to colleges and universities to inspire imaginative thinking. He visited us in Chicago when we honored another Disney Imagineer and Legend Frank Armitage (Fantastic Voyage set design and artist for Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, Disneyworld murals, and others as well as Life Magazine). Both were amazing people and true gentlemen. They are missed but will always be part of those of us that they inspired.
