Thank you for another great comparison! 👍
Soundcore man.... they continue to do some great work. JBL is a little too neutral for me
I own a charge 5, the Extreme 3, & the BB3. Yes, they do perform better indoors being placed near a wall.
Now, if weight & size aren’t an issue, the W-KING X20 is the way to go for outdoor use. It’s rated at 200 watts, comes with a customizable 10 band EQ with 5 or 6 slots for different custom EQ settings.
Now, for the best part, the sound quality, in particular, the sound quality at the loudest volumes. At volumes of 80-100% it never sounds strained, distorted, or shrill. It just gets louder & louder.
It’s able to do this because of its LINEAR volume stage. Its volume will gradually go up in baby steps across the volume range. This gives you more dynamic headroom, especially at the loudest volumes, with very little to no distortion.
@@jedolivier2688 its one of the popular budget boombox yes but im worried what if something happen to wking x20 like the mid driver is not working? idk if there are available service centers worldwide.
Nice review! And I was loving the music you were playing too! 👍
bro ,quick question about the volume control. I have the first boom and there is quite irritating situation , somewhere around 30% the volume increments act weird , so at one point the volume jumps up , for example when you go from level 3 it goes to level 5 and this is very irritating because you listen music or little to soft or to high. do you experience something similar with the boom2?
I have a jbl charge 5 and it's lovely but now I want something from soundcore, I just wish you could link up the soundcore and jbl like u can with jbls
I snagged a Boom 2 for 109.99 with same day delivery! This thing is so very worth it! I have 2 boom 2 to use them as a replacement for my LG 70in Ultra HD 4K TV and they sound amazing with the bass.
I did the same thing. Very dope
Hey got them on the $109 sale too! Couldnt pass it up. Out of all my big new expensive speakers i always enjoyed the sound signature and clarity of my 10 year old original sound core $25 dollar speaker. Did not disappoint. Sound core is powerful crispy highs and super clarity👌 for when i need a break from my muffled boomy jbls.
Guys I want to buy one. How is the low bass for you? Do you hear it at all? Is it detailed?
@@III_lxrd_III it’s fire. I listen to rap music all the time. That shit be booming way more than my JBL flip 6. It’s heavy bass but not muddy
The EXTREME 4 puts out 100 watts in A/C mode , only when it’s plugged in. In battery mode, it puts out 70 watts.
Theres levels to the tech review game. Every time i think you’re nearing the top you push it further. Sheesh🔥🔥🔥
Nice 😊
Boom 2 is also $109.99 on Amazon for anyone looking to save $20
I'm all the way back with a Soundcore Motion+ which I still use. However, maybe it's time for an upgrade.
Soundcore is Better Dang!
I have the xtream4 but what screwdriver did you use and where can I buy it from

@@CEONTHEMAKING Thanks but I live in the UK
Now you gotta do a comparison w the Xtreme 4 & the NEW Boom 2 Plus!
Plz
Definitely have some content coming on the Boom 2 Plus
Why? Boom 2 plus competes with boombox 3
@@UKRglory shoulder strap related, i guess
Boom 2 has a fuller sound. Xtreme has a follower sound. Great video great job keep up the good work.
Tribit soundblast vs the soundcore with one has more bass ?
Tribit Blast has deeper Bass and way more hifi 🎶
Which one is better, Boom 2 or Onyx 8 or onyx 7
Haven't tried either of the Onyx
Onyx studio 5/6/7/8 and go + play 3 completely outclasses the boom 2 in sound quality
Soundcore mops the floor with the JBL !
haha..to be fair. The Xtreme 4 can be EQ'd to add a little more punch. But yea, the Boom 2's value is crazy.
Naaah not really. Sold Boom 2 to keep X4.
@@CEONTHEMAKINGand the boom 2 can be eq'd with more bands to further spank the Xtreme 4
I go for boom 2... so loud and more bass for boom 2... for my opinion
The best feature of the JBL is the removable battery, which reminds me of when we used to change batteries on our phones.
Only if they keep producing the exact batteries for 5+ years. Otherwise, it doesn't make any sense to have removable because the battery won't die withing that time.
I feel like the jbl probably has much more bass in person but the crisp highs are drowning out the mic. Through headphones it has almost none
It has more bass at moderate volumes. So I got rid of Boom 2, even though the price of Xtreme 4 is ludicurous.
@@CrashPCczand above 50% in volume (where most people use it at for outdoor purposes), the boom 2 completely slaughters the Xtreme 4 in bass performance
I heard the Xtreme 4 loses bass outdoors..
How true is that?
Outdoor acoustic always change the sound to an extent.
It does really bad 50% or more straight flatline
Naah. Good to 75-80%. Loses some, but still good.
Oh, i guess the original rockbox xl doesnt count ad a portable speaker
Hold the plus and minus button and on the JBL speaker to make it go into base mode hold it until it changes to base mode or any JBL speaker that has woofers on it.
It's a shame you don't test using different music
It's a shame you don't use this video to figure out which suits you so you can play whatever your heart desires.
@@CEONTHEMAKING What's your problem?, my point is you can't because the sound test focuses on a particular kind of instrument/music. WOW. I absolutely loved your videos and style but thought it needed a wider spectrum of sound, I've literally bought products based on your videos but now i see you're just another ego FOXTROT OSCAR YANKEE CHARLIE.... u n s u b s c r i b e d
@@utredutredson1686 Nearly 10 years on TH-cam and i admit I still get triggered by the occasional negative comments. I've had a string of them lately and yours got caught in the crosshairs. I realize I may have taken the tone of your comment incorrectly. My apologies for that. Thank you for any support you've shown past or present. Not saying this to get you to re-subscribe...just owning up to my snappiness while sharing some perspective. Best of luck!
@@CEONTHEMAKING OK mate I understand, respect for letting me know. Keep up the good work with your videos, I like your style and the production comes across as really professional.
I never really like JBL speakers i listened to them and they don't appeal to me soundwise they are muddy and highs and lows are not balance regardless how big jbl spekers are. You pay for the brand name not the sound quality on the other hand soundcore has a very balanced signature sounds like bose signature in a way that you can enjoy the music.
Yes. All speaker brands have their own sound style. My fav for personal listening is anker. The powerful and crispy highs👌. Reminds me of klipsch sound just slightly less quality but way more affordable… JBL is the king for parties though. Those muddy mid bass is what keeps the party shaking and house vibrating👍.
So you electronically enhance output of one speaker but not the other, then compare???
The video needs a little more scientific data driven approach.
Xtreme 4 is the more powerful speaker and has the advantage either way. I'm just leveling the field by comparing their max output when using battery power. Bass up or not, i don't think you need science to spot the differences... Heavier bass with less clarity vs higher volume, more balance, & more clarity.
forget about the boom 2 get the boom 2 plus
It all depends on how it’s going to be used & how far it’s going to be carried.
The Boom 2 is considerably smaller than the Boom 2 Plus, & I’d like to think it ‘s considerably lighter than the Boom 2 Plus.
That boom 2 plus is $250 that’s kinda wild im gonna get the boom 2 normal it’s $105 on amazon rn
@@Tsnippo It’s the predecessor to the motion boom plus.
Boom 2 is proven to be hot garbage. Same price range, the tribit stormbox blast and w-king x20 slaughters the boom 2 plus
@@808jspekeg6 Yeah I have the X20, it’s a real beast. It retails for $319.89 on Amazon, but got it with the $95.00 coupon, bringing it down to $224.99. If size & weight aren’t an issue, this is definitely the best speaker to own in its price & size range for outdoor use.
Where this speaker separates itself from others, is producing quality sound at the loudest volumes. If you’re going to buy or already own one, stay away from the bass boost, it muddies up the mids highs.
JBL sounds hideous
Not in real life. 🤭
@@CrashPCczoluv gadgets proved otherwise that the boom 2 is the completely superior outdoor small speaker
F1RST
JbL!!!
JBL Xtreme 4 have anather class sound, don't compare them because the price. Punchy bass make it thinks different you know?
I got JBL Xtreme 4 & I was comparing that to ather speakers & when they was have a lack of punchy bass, for me they was put of focus.
Marshal speakers are good but lack of that punchy think...you listen this like some sort of radio speaker...fk that bro.
You need a powerful bass to crank it up a party!
