*Subscribed*. My friend let me borrow his Xtreme 3 for a few days and it was good, no doubt about it. I ordered a Xtreme 4 for £320, and then I discovered this Boom 2 and felt that I had just forked out way too much money for a portable speaker. So I cancelled the Xtreme 4 and ordered the Boom 2. Let me tell you, for £99 off Amazon, this little speaker has no business being this good. It is EASILY as good as the Xtreme 3, if not better. In terms of bass and output it is WAY better than the JBL Charge 5 I tried as well. Okay, it doesn't have the brand name, and the JBL definitely feels and looks more premium, but I wouldn't call it cheap looking either, it's okay in that respect. And the fact that it's (in May 24) a THIRD of the price of the Xtreme 4, makes it an absolute no brainer. It's a very long time since I was this happy with a purchase, the Boom 2 is an incredible little speaker and is happy playing at any volume. For hundred quid, it's an absolute steal.
@JesseJamess I started with the Liberty pro and then the 2 and now I have the 3, so I know what you mean. Honestly, they're the only brand who's earbuds I've bought and liked!
They bash soundcore because of scummy marketing and also people praising soundcore to have the most clean sound. In this video, you can hear the bass on the soundcore distort already at 50% volume 😂
@@ProfDrTestkees Mine doesn’t distort at all. I’ve tested it side by side the charge 5 and the Xtreme 3, and the boom 2 100% sounds better, all for less than £100.
Recently got the boom2 and I'm super impressed, it's got lovely bass while handling the mids and highs really well, it's amazing you can get such quality audio from such a small speaker.
I own the EXTREME 3 & the only way that I’ll use it is inside while it’s plugged in getting the full 100 watts, sounding much fuller in comparison to listening in battery mode, getting 50 - 60 watts. In battery mode, it just leaves me wanting more out of it. I just got my Boom2 from Amazon. I got it at the discounted price of $99.99. At full retail price of $129.99 it’s still a good value for performance speaker. At $99.99 you’re literally stealing. It performs larger than its size. I like it a lot. I’ve tried it inside & outside, & surprisingly, the sound didn’t change very much, which is a good thing. I have enough indoor speakers, I bought it mainly for outdoor use & it puts out enough bass outdoors.
I'm so glad with my Soundcore Motion X600, I played music on my balcony and I felt like was in a concert! BTW there will be launched the Edifier D32 a retro speaker and I hope you'll make a video.
I have many JBL products, I got the Boom 2 after seeing all these reviews and it thumps! It has well balanced sound too. If it holds up, it won't be my last Soundcore.
The EXTREME 4 plugged in used indoors will smoke the Boom2 sound quality wise. I own the Boom2 & the EXTREME 3. I only use the EXTREME 3 while it’s plugged in & placed near a wall indoors. The EXTREME 3 just outclasses the Boom2 in sound quality, especially at the loudest volumes up to MAX.
I got the Boom 2 on Prime day for $89.99 lol. I know it was a limited time deal and the JBL feels and looks much nicer but man…$300 better?? JBL needs to up their value proposition in the segment.
JBL Xtreme 4 got punchy bass & clear audio. It's great performance & after recent update it's make it great sound with 100 % with Xtreme 4. AI quality think make it difference at evrry sound level on Xtreme 4.

I have it, but I'm not allowed to post about it until later. But just to answer your question, it destroys the Xtreme 4. Its real competition is the BoomBox 3 and Sony ULT Field 7

Was thinking bose max I have the flex also love. But at that price and that sound. Smh some of these speakers are over priced. Especially bose max. Thanks
Bruh , i get it the soundcore is better value for money , but the soundtest you show in the video is so misleading , you show the” preferred “ setting on the JBL to make it sound worst than the soundcore , in no universe the soundcore sounds better than the JBL !!!
I’ve watched comparison videos & the reviewers are saying that it has mostly upper bass in comparison to the EXTREME 3 which has more low bass. Just something to keep in mind. Also, the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus will release on May 29th. It’s going to retail for $249.99. It’s the predecessor to the Motion Boom Plus. You may want to consider this as another option for less money, than the EXTREME 4.
@@HENNY_22 Yeah, bass isn’t that important outside compared to inside listening. Once you take a speaker, outside, it loses certain sound characteristics, that you’d normally have indoors. Loudness & battery life are 2 of the most important features to look at, when talking about a speaker that’s going to be strictly used outdoors & or outside.
Yes, but in my findings, the Xtreme series is the absolute worst at this. Every other jbl speaker still does fine, Soundcore does great, Sony does great, Tribit does great... it's JUST the Xtreme series that seems to suffer.

They wanted it to perform more like an outdoor speaker, which it does. I own the EXTREME 3 & I only use it indoors while it’s plugged in, getting the full 100 watts that I paid for.
