And I really do love this laptop, it is lined up to be my next laptop. I plan to purchase it this summer before I go off to college. Would buy it now, but just spent 3k on a desktop.

Just bought this for office work and study , i can easily say this is the best setup i have ever used in a long time. When using 1 screen only its like a regular laptop size, when you take out the keyboard and use in Dual screen mode it becomes much thinner.
Do both of the screens have touch or just the lower one?

What a productivity powerhouse. Getting a laptop with a tablet is a more cost effective solution for now but the versatility of this form factor is unbeatable

@@donnellbryan3265Try Amazon. Keep it open in a browser and refresh it ever few minutes for as long as it takes. That's how I got mine. It was out of stock and then it wasn't for a moment. So immediately after putting my order through, out of curiosity I went back to the page for it and it was out of stock again...literally within a couple of minutes.
There's a huge interest and demand for them so they sell in seconds. You just have to be determined to keep at it until you catch a window of availability.
I got one too. How do you switch to side by side? I thought it would switch automatically when turned sideways but it doesn't. I think I prefer top/bottom though because setting it on the side I lose either the USB or the HDMI.
@@The.Oh1183 I've only tried side-by-side a couple of times and it switched automatically. I imagine you have to go into Windows Display settings to adjust it.

This laptop with a dual portable screen is the dream setup to have in any surface with just 2 cables lol
ASUS nailed the design for me as i already for a similar setup with their external USB-C monitor. My only gripe is they should do 15.6 screen version. And also do a non-touch version which would reduce the costs.

My son who is a freshman in college uses the Leno yoga dual screen laptop which came out last year. He says it's the best laptop ever and he loves the dual screen ability and he says it immensely helps his productivity . This is a even better because the keyboard just sits inside and there is no need to use the Oragami stand.
People literally have multiple screens at home. I've been using 2 ipads with my laptop bc I still need multiple screens when I travel. How can it be a gimmick when demands are already here.
If you think about it for a second, if the main screen breaks than you could remove it and just use it as a tablet

And one thing more basically I am doing trading and playing games like gta5 mod is these thing working in MacBook or not because I am to confused
I'm waiting till they add a decent videocard(8GB RTX 4060 minimum) in this great laptop because otherwise Ninjatrader 8 will stay slow with the integrated ARC videocard.
I wish the hinge was more like the HP Spectre x360 so that it could at least do tent mode.

Lenovo YogaBook 9i does this, and it has two screens with the same resolution as well, albeit at 13.3" a little bit smaller. Unfortunately it doesn't take M.2 2280 SSDs.
@@feklee I don't think it will have the same performance either.
Linux runs on just about anything, but it may take a little bit for someone to write something that automatically disables the 2nd screen when the keyboard is attached. Also, the virtual keyboard gesture setup will probably need time to migrate over to linux as as well. Asus tends to do very well with laptop workflow design.
I like this but I don't see a use case for me when considering the price. I recently got an i7 touch screen laptop with 16 gigs of ram and a 500 gig HD for around $300 and I bought the Wuawe portable monitor for $55 after coupon. It literally takes me just seconds to setup and now I have a 14 inch screen and a 15.6 inch screen connected by one cable. I can also position the monitors anyway I wish. The portable monitor takes little to no room at all in my backpack and my laptop powers the monitor. To be honest I'm not sure if I would ever use a dual screen setup on a plane (just too cramped). I actually really like this new Zenbook duo but I don't think for $1500 vs the $355 price I paid justifies it considering for my use case I'm getting a very similar experience.
the same for me, I use a gaming laptop, I wonder if this setup could fit heavy duty works. In addition, think about dirty fingers, dust and any kind of dirtyness accumulated on the screen.

Man! ASUS should have come up with new brand name for this. In my excitement i nearly nearly bought the older siller "1 and 1/2" screen laptop which is also called Duo!!! 🤦♂️

My keyboard with backlight off is lucky to get 45min on battery.
Yeah, when mine is off it runs out pretty quick, but I think it's longer that 45min. In any case I don't mind, I just plug in and keep working. I'm not sure the size of the battery in the keyboard, but I don't think it's very big because it's so thin.
IMO needing to plug in to recharge, then unplug, then plug in again when it down is not a problem. It's a fine trade-off for the incredible usefulness and effectiveness of such a well integrated, intuitive dual-screen experience.
Damn that sucks, I believed it to have 20 hours with backlight on, not sure it's a software issue as well
@@tomadasilva Not sure where you got those stats, but to be clear when I wrote "is off", I'm referring to when the keyboard is separate from the unit - off the second screen - and using Bluetooth. When it's "on" the unit in standard clamshell laptop mode using a single screen, the battery life of the keyboard naturally is 100% tied to the battery life of the unit. In which case battery life is excellent.
In fact when the keyboard is off it and the unit's being used in dual-screen mode, battery life of the unit is still quite impressive. It's just that the battery life of the keyboard using Bluetooth when it's off the device is not long. Which makes since given how thin it is...not much room for a lot of battery.
I would contact support. I use mine in Bluetooth mode and it lasts all day.
Lenovo did it better but had poor power and memory limit.
