now this is a REVIEW! 🤩👏👏👏 I've been looking forward to this comparative dual screen reviews and I'm so thankful that you had these go through it's paces. also THANK YOU for testing if the Asus Duo can support additional monitors and how they perform when they're all on 👍👍 multiple screens are very important in my work and I couldn't seem to get enough of them 😅. hope you can give another review of the dual screen laptops (but most specially interested in the Asus Duo) after using it for a bit longer.
THANK YOU!!! 🤗🤩💻💻
Thanks for the vid! Very informative and entertaining. Also your channel name speaks to me on a fundamental level so kudos haha.
have been waiting for this video, subscribed to your channel seeing all the effort and $ your putting into making this videos. Keep up the good work man.
thank you so much for this comparison review with so much details...well done!!
Bro thank you for answering my 4 screen question. 🙏🏼I appreciate you
Love this review. Its done old school style w/o excessive editing, which makes the content much more relatable. Do keep up the good work. Subscribed.
Thanks brate! You have a new subscriber and just ordered the Duo.
THANKS FOR DOING THIS!!
Thank you so much, looking for this detail comparison. Really helpful

Super detailed review, thanks!
The best vid of this duo, thanks for the sharing!!
superb review thank you. Subbed
Real life review! thank you!
Constructive review.
Thanks.
Great review thanks for your video
Thank you for the video.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the great review & comparison! Did you notice any thermal throttling in the zenbook duo under full load? I had that problem with my surface book 3 - powerful at first, but then getting very slow after a while when it got warmer and started throttling.
So far I have not noticed any difference in performance, it has been consistent even while hot.
You should test it using modeling software like CAD and MasterCam. Always wondering how the new CPU’s would fare with those. Since writing G & M code is a very CPU heavy task.
Very comprehensive review.
If only the top screen of this laptop could rotate up to around 360 degrees, turning it into a convertible tablet. Then it would truly become the best and most unique type of laptop
Great video keep it up
So looks their allowing more orders of Duo 32gb ram version as of this morning, not sure how many units. Links in discription
THAAAAANK YOUUUUU!! 🎉
Thank you so much for this video ive keot going bsck and forth on these two and ive finally decided on the duo, are there any accessories that can help the battery life? I dont want to have to carry my charger all the time
unfortunately the only way saving battery life is limiting to using it in battery saver mode which is what I do most of thee time when im not plugged in at work, and it last's me most of the day with regular use, but this is just basic tasks mainly research. I also bought a 100W compact power brick and usb c cable which I use to charge my laptop and phone so i don't have to use 2 chargers. Bought rite off amazon. Anything 40W and above will charge thee laptop, recommend at least 65w because 40 will charge very slow.
Great comparison! It should be noted that the yoga book will get an upgrade to the core ultra processors soon. My rep at Lenovo said around April so very soon
Thank you, this is the new one in the video, it has the Core Cultra 7 Processor, but they kept the old graphics.
@@TecYimBroke Oh weird! I was wondering why it was so slow on the video editing. I must have missed that as I was watching in the background. Which one are you going to keep?
@VladimirKostek Processor performed very well, graphics held it up quite a bit on video tests. I am keeping the Duo, just fits alot better for what I need. I think YogaBook is good for somebody that does alot research and mostly basic multitasking.
@TecYimBroke good call, ARC graphics will only get better too with updates as this is their first non dedicated version
I'd love to see a dual screen laptop with one of them being e ink, made a vid on that recently. Would improve battery life a lot too
Nice honest review.... subscribed......
Thanks for your video. Is there any inconvenience when using the physical keyboard on the Yoga Book 9i? What about inconvenience caused by the height of the keyboard, the keyboard sliding when typing, or heat generation in the fingers or wrists?
Hello, I have not come across anything that made it onconvieniant using the yoga book keyboard. The keyboard is held in place by magnets when on the screen and they hold very well to prevent sliding, and while on a table surface it has 2 rubber strips which help prevent sliding. No heat at all noticed, the only thing I cpuld say is the keys are solid plastic and dont have the softer texture like most premium keyboards and like the Duo keyboard has.
I have owned the Yoga book 9i for a month and the keyboard is great. Never slides and is a pleasure to type on because there is no trackpad in the way. Also it is not thin and flat like the ASUS and Surface Pro keyboards.
Great, good job!
great review
So just wanted to give a update on quality assurance as I believe these are being rushed due to demand. I have order a total of 4 in the over a month for people including mine all through Amazon. One I revied came fine and 1 other came fine. 1 ultra 7 version was amazons fault, got notification was damaged in transit and refunded. Another came with keyboard issues with trackpad, no obvious deformities just clicking was hard and retracting slow. So there definitely appears to be a quality assurance issue which I hope will be addressed after this initial rush is through. I still however love my Duo, guess its a 50% change you'll get a dud, but Amazon is great with returns, and that is why I always order through them.
ASUS nailed the design for me as i already got a similar setup with their external USB-C monitor. My only gripe is they should do 15.6 screen version. And also do a non-touch version which would reduce the costs.
Seems you outdid the previous video with this one. Awesome job.
One would think Lenovo would have added the Intel Arc graphics but staying with the XE restricts it.
That 3 way video export test was really eye opening.
Definitely a certified Hoya 10 out of 10 review.
Haha tx. Yeah I think they would need to redesign their cooling system as it deff produces more heat which is prob why they skipped out this time, but I think their prob already working on something for next year.
Yeah, probably update their cooling, bigger battery, easier access to upgrade the ram and update the hinge to make it 360 degrees. But I can't wait, current laptop is on its last legs, so I bought the duo and it arrives next week. So hyped.
@twospirits411 Thats awesome, I hope you like it. To me its a great device, not perfect but everything I need at the moment.
Can you maby shere your thoughts fron a sound engineer looking to buy one of the 3 laptops?
Maby installing a Daw?
So im not too familiar with Daw programs, but just by looking at recommended specs its slightly less demanding than a video making software so I dont see it running into performance issues. Whenever its back in stock can always buy from Amazon with free 30 day return window.
Excellent for work when you need outlook, folders, teams and some online collaboration screen open to work across screens. More screens needed. Fold them into trio. Quattro is the goal.
Great review..but still torn😅. Any issues with the Yoga Book using an external monitor through a usb c to hdmi cable or hub? The Duo certainly looks the clear winner on performance, but i like the finish of the yoga
Haha, unfortunately, I only have the 1 hub with hdmi and it supports 1 monitor, but I dont see it running additional 2 because of the Iris Xe Graphics.
16:26 Zen book duo display is the best
I love this comparison. It would be cool to check the temperature the machine at different condition using thermocamera.
Yes definitely lol, maybe one day ill waste money on one and can use it on laptops haha. I will say ive had my Surface book 3 working hotter to the touch than the Duo on heavy tasks.
Do the displays of the Asus Duo suffer a screendoor effect (especially noticeable on white background), like many other laptop OLEDs from Asus or other brands? Thanks a lot. Would love to see more about these devices, in case you have them in use.
So i dont really pay thay close of attention to screen details, but according to some users there is a slight appearance, however I barely notice it im assuming its more on certain colors.
@@TecYimBroke Thank's for answering.
Nice video! I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade SSD into the Zenbook dual screen laptop? Is there two or one ssd slot inside?
Hi, there is only 1 slot and its hard to get to. You can upgrade but have to remove motherboard, would take some time and higher chance breaking something. The Ram however is not upgradable
@@TecYimBroke should be great to upgrade the SSD for 8tb SSD 😜
@remi1213 Haha well luckily this uses newer standard PCIe 4.0 ssd which are more reliable, run cooler and faster. Hopefully this will help with longevity.@remi1213
@@TecYimBrokehow many lanes is the m.2? Is it possible to make a splitter to add a second m.2?
@TheTAEclub its only 1 slot and wont be possible to split. Only other way is to add external ssd through thuderbolt plug
Only question is can you do two more detailed tests, one with the pens, actually testing the pens in drawing and writing, to see how accurate they are and their palm rejection?
Also curious if you can benchmark one actual game for FPS. Thank you!
Yeah I sure can, I never use a stylus much but can definitely try make it seem like I know what im doing haha. Yes ill also do a game test see what I get. Got a busy week but ill see if I can at least get it started.
Oh yeah Daddy! 😂 If only the Zenbook Duo can flip 360 degree. But I think the speaker on Yoga Book is really great!
I am pretty sure the 5 seconds you are seeing when you attach the keyboard, has nothing to do with the keyboard. It's the standard time Windows takes to add or remove a secondary display. I am curious however about the keyboard. When it's on the laptop, connected to the pogo pins, does it charge, or is the only way to charge it through the USB?
You are correct, and no delays on keyboard part itself. And yes the pins connect full function and charge as well
19:30 video resolutions was 3840×2160 60fps, thats quite heavy👍🏻 What was video length you were encoding, what export codec you were using ? 1) zenbook utilized intel arc brilliantly. Suprised by lenovo though it has same intel arc gpu, though you have mentioned iris xe gpu before encoding starts. Will have to check specs of core 9 ultra vs core 7 ultra. Asus zenbook flip 15 is confusing iris xe + 1650 max q.
10 mintes 19 seconds, H264, the duo killed it, and I had the Zenbook Flip set to utilize dedicated gpu as default and it was utilizing it by 24% and Iris xe showed 5% usage during that video, not sure what was going on there. And Lenovo decided to to upgrade to the Arc graphics, im assuming because of the thin profile, and they would need to fogure out ways for better heat dissipation. Prob next years model we'll see significant upgrade from lenovo would be my guess.
@@TecYimBroke 277 seconds for a 3840x2160 60fps 619 seconds video very impressive.
If possible do another test from h264 to h265 and h264 to av1. Select 40% 50% size reduction for h265, av1 respectively.
Amazing encoding decoding on core ultra

Can you make a gaming test can you run call of duty or helldiver ?
Thank you very much for this comparison review, I was looking forward to it.
There's no question the Asus Duo is far superior in terms of performance and costing way less than the Yogabook.
Too bad Lenovo didn't actually up their game this year and decided to play conservatively by doing a mild at this point if I had to choose one I'd def go with the Asus one, even though I love the 360 degrees mode and the overall design of the Yogabook.
I'm not actually in a rush to get one of these, I really hope Lenovo will make significant upgrades for next year model: an Intel Ultra 9 Series (H and not U), Arc Graphics, 14" 120Hz and 2k resolution is prob goign to be an instant buy for me.
I still don't understand why both Lenovo and Asus went with this weird 3k/1800p resolution, it's non-standard and I believe on a 14" dispaly 2k is more than enough, I rather want to have to choose between 2k and 4k rather than FHD and 3k tbh.
I'm largely disappointed by both keyboards battery life, they ought to have 8h minimum with brightness on, therefore in either case I'd rather go with a 3rd party wireless keyboard.
All in all the Asus Duo is the obvious winner here, it's a no brainer, but it's obvious this kind of device needs to be polished and optimized, which is comprehensible since t's basiclaly the first generation for actual (full) dual screen devices.
Thanks once again for this review anyway, good job!!
Yeah I have no doubt Lenovo will come with something to compete with the Duo.
Personally I see the appeal of a higher resolution screen, because the primary advantage of a dual-display laptop is multitasking, and going from 1200p to 1800p displays could easily be the difference between having 2-3 legible pages open at a time and having 4-8. But I seem to have better detail vision than most people; a lot of people I know have to scale things up to 150% or 200% scale on high rez screens just to read the text, so they wouldn't get any real benefit from the higher DPI.
I wish that Asus allowed more customization between the components. They have one model with a u7 processor, 16gb ram, and 1200p screens, and one model with a u9 processor, 32gb ram, and 1800p screens. No way to get the lower power processor with more ram, or the lower rez screen with the higher end processor, either of which would be very nice for some customers.
@sindrisuncatcher653 yeah I think 3k offers a very good clarity but still more battery efficient than full 4k which i would prefer on a laptop. In the U.S. I was unable to get anything with u9 processor only availability was the U7 with 32gb and 3k highest avaliable.
Is it possible to connect a different video source to the Asus Duo and use the 2nd screen for something else?
No because its hard wired, only if the source is played off the laptop itself, but no independent use outside the laptop.
How about fan noise? I am currently using macbook air m2, so there is no fan noise. Do you know how lound Zenbook Duo and Toga Book 9i fan are? Thank you so much for your great review video:)
Hi, so I can't compare to macbook as I dont have one. The fan noise on YogaBook is barely noticeable. The Duo, when set on performance, you definitely hear the fan, but it's not that loud, quieter than the Asus Zenbook 14 and Lenovo Yoga 9I and evem those arent too bad.
Thank you so much for your help@@TecYimBroke
There is zero fan noise on the Yoga book 9i.
It has a touch screen, pen support, andcan fold 360 degrees.
These are things MacBooks still don't have/can't do a quarter of the way through the 21st century.
Ohh. Thank you for your help:)@@RK-um9tu
When you disconnect the keyboard on the Zenbook duo, is there an option to keep the second screen (the bottom screen off) If I just wan the elevated screen to show (purpose of this is to save battery life if I'm traveling). How do you feel about temperature if using this 8 hours a day (no gaming or video editing, just lots of tabs (100+) and productivity apps open)
Hi, yes there is a Asus windows control app which you can have rite on your desktop and can shut off bottom screen while keyboards off. It will work great for long period of medium duty tasks and light task as I do this regularly. I have not however tested heavy duty long term affect yet, but light duty will have no issue with heat.
Just to confirm, the keyboard is still functioning with one screen off (and it can be closer to you or does it have to be physically connected to the laptop unit?@@TecYimBroke
@taylorb9680 Correct, the keyboard can be as much as 50 feet away and function. It runs on bluetooth when not attached to the device.
Someone sacrifice for us ✨✨ U got my follow and respect
I wanted to know if the Asus ZenBook, has the 10 key feature in it mouse pad like the Asus ZenBook Pro duo?
No its standard large DPAD with click response, works great, but no number pad on it.
I wanted to correct your answer. I watched another TH-cam page. The mouse pad can transfer to a ten key if you charge a feature in the settings. Like the other Asus duo pro
Then im not 100% sure what feature your referring to. If you are talking about the 10 numbers that can be turned on to show on the DPad like the Duo Pro or other ZenBook's then no this laptop does not have that feature 100% and there is no way of enabling it. You might have been watching a video of another ZenBook and not thee ZenBook DUO 2024
What about palm rejection is it any good with the stylus?
So im not a big stylus guy, but it was actually pretty good I believe, I did have to enable settings in stylus settings to reject finger touch when stylus working, and worked good.
Why would you have that “yes daddy” sound effect ????? I was watching this video on a loud speaker 🤦🏾♂️
Hows the stylus for sketch and drawing
I dont really use stylus much, but I will be doing a comparison between the Duo and YogaBook one hopefully in next cpuple weeks, got a busy week.
does the lenovo yoga book 9i support 4k 120 hz monitor output?
I dont believe so because of the arc graphics, it will run at 60 hz.
Laptops can i get a hoyea
Subbed so you can hopefully change the channel's name at some point ;) Good review, use more takes and post-prod edits and you can ace it with your practical view vs many of the only dry stat and specs based videos.
Thank you :)
Which mouse is that with yogabook . Have been trying to find a good mouse that matches my yogabook 9i asthetics .
its delivered with the yogabook 9i
Yeah it comes with the device and I do not see it sold separately
I'm counting about 4 seconds to switch between dual and single screen for the ASUS.
Zen duo also has a ultra7, it would have been more fair to compare that one with the yoga to see the difference.
Yes they do, I was originally planning on keeping the Duo so thats why ordered higher specs and also ordered highest specs for Yogabook but unfortunately no U9 but the Duo U7 still has Arc graphics and yoga has only Iris.
And also I would like to know if it is possible to use the track pad for the computer and for my phone in the same time like Samsung laptop gave this precious option!???
hi, yes actually I just connected it to my Galaxy s24 plus and im typing this reply from the
phone.
@@TecYimBroke I don't know if you understand my question? Read this: When using the **Samsung Book Ultra**, you can simultaneously use the **trackpad pointer** on both the computer and your phone. This allows you to seamlessly switch between screens using the pointer. To set this up, follow these steps:
1. On your **Galaxy Book**, click the **Galaxy Book Experience** icon in your taskbar. If you removed this shortcut previously, search for "Galaxy Book Experience" in your start menu.
2. Scroll down and click the button labeled "Do more with your tablet."
3. Select "Open" next to the **Multi Control** section.
Make sure your **Galaxy phone** is powered on and you are signed into your Samsung account on both your phone and laptop. Samsung automatically populates **Multi Control** with supported devices registered to your Samsung account. With the **Multi Control** app open on your Galaxy Book, enable it by toggling the switch next to **Multi Control**.
@@TecYimBroke I mean multicontrol...
@remi1213 I was not able to have it connected to both at same time, either galaxy or Duo but wont do both. Not sure if there is another way. Edit. Got it working using glidex app
@@TecYimBroke it should be very useful if we can connect both on the same times laptop and phone... Maybe we should suggest this option to Asus developers! I bought this Zenbook dual screen and I will receive it soon! Iam exited about this innovative laptop! Thank you for your nice review!
Pretty much a unique review comparison at this moment in time. I have the Yogabook 9i, it's beautifully made & machined. It's better made than the Asus and I'd trust its longevity more.
Yup as far as design itselfs I think the duo is innovative and definitely more feature packed, the yogabook, however has a better look and does seem more durable.
@@TecYimBroke if you had to, which one would you keep as a long-term investment? Keep up the unique reviews!
@fmulleady This comes down to personal preference and need. Personally I love the features of the Duo and it works better for my needs.
@@TecYimBroke thanks for your insights. It certainly smoked the others on higher level productivity tasks!
А можно эти ноутбуки использовать как дополнительный дисплей? Например чтоб подключить к ним смартфон с видео-выходом
Not natively, but I think third party apps depending what phone you
have might work, I have not tested this yet, but most laptop screens support this so I dont see why this one would not.
I know this is subjective, but I love the look of the yogabook. Maybe it’s just the color and build. Asus is clearly the more practical choice though.
I agree with you, the Yoga Book is a nice looking device.
me too. i choose yogabook over the duo
Yogabook also beautifully machined. Looks gorgeous in person.
Not sure what is practical about a removable keyboard with a track pad. No one uses a trackpad on a touchscreen laptop with pen support. Also the Yoga book 9i is smaller, lighter, and folds 360 degrees.
@RK-um9tu maybe but both have their own merits. Each to their own I guess!
Also LMAO at the intro! 😹😹😹
I enjoyed this comparison, it seems that Asus looked at the YogaBook and improved on a few features. When I looked at the YogaBook, I wondered it it’s worth waithing for version 2.0. (if everyone waited for version 2.0, the company wouldn’t sell enough of 1.0).
Yup, but this is version 2.0 lol there is a 2023 version not much different, 3.0 hopefully more comparable with great design.
Major upgrades usually come in year 3 or 4...
I believe the 2024 yogabook version has an upgraded processor but they stayed with the xe graphics instead of the Arc graphics.
@twospirits411 you are correct. They just upgraded the processor to core ultra 7 and added the AI NPU chip along with it, but kept the old integrated graphics.
I would suggest to do speaker tests individually.
To me its harder to compare it to something just listening to it by itself, I feel like I can instantly compare switching between the two and listening together.
finally i received the zenbook duo dual screen. I have a problem: impossible to configure windows Hello face recognation ! I asked myself if the problem is software or hardware! Do you have this issue with your device?
Thats odd, I had zero issues setting it up and one my favorite login options. Hopefully just software. Go through windows update make sure everything all up to date and then asus website and download additional drivers. Restart and try again.
I ll try lot of thing uninstall and install pilote.. Still the same problem... When I log in the camera should I see infrared sensor flashing red???
Nothing red for now? Do you see a little pointer red when you log in close of the camera?
Maybe the sensor is defect. My windows is up to date...
Maybe should I return the produce...
My God it's a pain if i have to return it because it took me lot of time to setup the device transfer data and figure what's going on with windows hello!
@remi1213 Yes I see the ir lights turn on slightly when initially logging in and more in dark rooms. Yes definitely a pain after setting up, try searching in start menu for Device manager and under camera try check for update driver if nothing then uninstall and restart it should do fresh install, then open camera app check those settings as well. I dont have my laptop with me but also check in the myasus app maybe there is camera settings in there as well.
@@TecYimBroke OK I tested the produce it is amazing but except windows hello face recognition doesn't work, and the bluetooth keyboard bug, disconnect every time and sometimes slow... Iam little bit disappointed! because of this 2 problems : bluetooth keyboard bad connection, and windows hello face recognition not usable I have to send back the laptop!
I Paid a big price for a buggy laptop! I return it! Iam not sure if I take the chance for a second one!
That sucks, sorry you got a bad unit, lots of rush getting it out they seemed to cut back on quality assurance. Did you buy through Asus or Amazon?@remi1213
I’ve found on reddit that someone experienced these problem when using the Asus Zenbook Duo 2024:
- Wobbly screen due to flexible metal chassis at hinge connections.
- A keyboard that warps and slips, potentially damaging surfaces.
- Muffled speaker sound on soft surfaces or in dual-screen mode.
- Screen issues like refresh rate resetting to 60Hz, bottom screen not turning back on, brightness discrepancies, and color profile differences.
- Minor concerns like faint static speaker sound and the absence of a media play/pause key, alongside a dedicated emoji key.
I was wondering if you also experienced those problem?
Hello, it definitely has its quirks like most devices especially completely new design. I've found majority of smaller issues to be software related, and some can be fixed easily by adjusting settings in the MyAsus App.
Wobbly Screen: true, however this only occurs when your pressing on the screen with your finger, thee closer you get to thee top the more wobble. This does not affect the touch accuracy, and there is no wobble while typing on the keyboard while still attached to thee device, its just like the Samsung Galaxy books, and other laptops that had similar hinge material. Lenovo does a good job with their hinge structure as I did not notice any wobble.
Keyboard: I have not experienced these issues, thee keyboard is thin so in theory it can bend easily if you were to accidently sit on it, or somehow cause a decent amount of pressure to cause it to bend, and it has a soft smooth surface underneath, so I don't see how that could cause any scratches or damage to other surfaces.
Speakers:: EDIT: I realized thee speakers are facing down on the bottom of thee device, and can see how it might seems muffled when placed on blankets or another soft surface that might cover it up a bit just like if you were to place your finger a bit over your phone speaker. I have not experienced any muffled sound with my everyday use, I use it on my couch, bed, and hard surfaces. There are different sound settings in thee MyAsus app that may affect this as well.
Screen: There is a known issue with the brightness and color adjustment with the two screen synching properly, and it is believed to be a software issue at this time. I dont notice it much with regular use, I think someone that might use both screens for editing something like a photon stretcher across both screens might notice thee brightness or slight color difference.
Now as far as the refresh rate, this is a setting that can be adjusted both in myasus app and windows display, and power settings can affect this as well. The laptop uses different power profiles when on battery and when on charger. Mine is set to 60Hz on battery and high performance mode on charger which screen is at 120Hz, and every time someone changes a power profile it will also adjust the way the screens change back and fort. If you want constant 120 then you have to make sure its not set on Dynamic.
The other stuff you mention such as media key, this is not a standard practice, and usually limited to which laptops manufacturers add them to, and there is a dedicated emoji key, it is F11 😊😊😒😒🙌🙌, in the video you will see a emoji face on key f11.
The only issue I am having with keyboard is still unresolved is thee duplicating of the letter E whenever it is at thee end of the word, and no usual settings work, has been determined to be hardware issue, and am waiting for replacement and see if this can be replicated with another keyboard.
Any more updates?
I will be doing another video more aimed at the Duo with. Im quite behind what I wanted to do because of unexpected events limiting my time for videos. Hopefully I will be able to do one in coming weeks. I just have a couple of others to do as well. Still loving the duo and no major issues. Is there anything specific you wanted to know?
when do you think they lunch in India ? duo
I havent seen any exact mentions, but I do recall them saying launch by April so I would assume arpund then in all markets. Although with the stock issues who knows, they prob weren't planning on it being as popular.

Kalau yang lenovo yoga book nya, keyboard bisa charging ketika ditaruh di laptopnya atau tidak ?
No Yoga Book keyboard is external only and does not integrate directly. You have to charge via usb-c cable..
@@TecYimBroke terima kasih banyak atas informasinya, sangat bermanfaat
Why would there be delays, technology of wireless keyboard not new anymore. 😅
Asus Duo is so good. I was gonna wait for it to get cheaper but screw it, it's already cheap
Bought both and Lenovo is much much better .
How is lenovo in games?
How is that Lenovo better?
So desperately want a dual screen build like this. But i feel these both need more work
I've been using the Duo as my daily laptop for a few months now and absolutely love it. Its not for everyone, some may benefit from the YogaBook and some might just need a regular laptop. Look at multiple reviews and really get a picture of what you actually need and may benefit you not at just 1 task but your daily life like it benefits me for work and personal life. The issue with the Duo rite now is the stock and quality assurance as it seems its a hit or miss if you get one in stock it might come with defect or might luck out. Ive ordered a total of 4 so far for myself and others and 1 never made it. Said damaged in transit, and another came with a bad keyboard the dpad mechanism was broken inside.
❤❤🎉
In public, everyone carries their LAPTOP in some type of bag and then pulls it out to work.
For this reason, Zenbook Duo is not more PORTABLE than the Yoga Book 9i.
Also, the Yoga Book 9i keyboard battery last days, not hours.
This part I have to disagree with you. Ill pull out the Duo out of a bag and ready to go. Ill pull out a Yogabook, then the keyboard and cover, then the mouse which equals more baggage and bulk. The yogabook by itself is more portable but then your left with just touchscreen. While testing both keyboards continouse use the duo last just over 3 hours while the yoga book last just under 6 hours. Regular occasional on and off use you could prob get a few days with yogabook and prob day from Duo.
@@TecYimBroke would the Duo keyboard start charging when you attach it to the laptop or you need to charge it directly with its own cable?
@KhalidAlqasim yes it connects with pogo pins directly for data and charging. Only time you need to plug it in is if your using it wirelessly and battery runs low
the chosen font colour is hard to read
I tried bunch different colors, because of so many colors showing in video I found red to be most consistent across the changing content.
How’s the battery life?
Never mind. Saw the slide at the end. I’m shocked with how poor the duo is.
Didnt surprise me much, dual 3k 120Hz screens, Core Ultra 9 processor, new Arc Graphics, all with a smaller battery than the Yoga Book. Hopefully next version they'll be able to incorporate a bigger battery without sacrificing the size of device
@@TecYimBroke I’d love to see what the battery life would be if the refresh rate was dialed back to 60.
These are good laptops but end of the day processing 5 hours of vdo kinda killed the battery if not near an outlet need a Mac after all
Yeah, thats where you have to decide if the features are what you really need or better battery is more important. For me its the features, im always usually near an outlet, so over 7 hours is plenty for me for just basic usage.
My Yoga Book 9i battery lasts 11-12 hours watching TH-cam continuously on a single screen, and 10-11 hours with both screens running a TH-cam video.
Brightness is 50%, battery saver on, wifi on, blue tooth on, all background apps closed, and keyboard deteched.
This is a laptop for students, business professionals, and STEM folks.
the problem is no one has the ultra 9 Asus Duo instock been trying to get one for a month
Yeah, I think they rushed the release because when looking initially at ces it was expected to release in April so they prob rushed ahead which cause some quality assurance issues on some units.
@@TecYimBroke if anyone has one and wants to trade for a new 2024 Razer 16 Oled with RTX 4070 reach out to me.. i need something lighter
Ohh yeahh daddyyyy
battery test is the main task left
I got some battery test results at end of the video.
My Yoga Book 9i battery lasts 11-12 hours watching TH-cam continuously on a single screen,
10-11 hours with both screens running a TH-cam video,
9-10 hours with a single TH-cam video running across both screens.
Brightness is 50%, battery saver on, wifi on, blue tooth on, all background apps closed, and keyboard deteched.
it almost doesn't make sense to create a dual screen laptop that can't be used in tablet mode. yogabook wins for me
Yogabook defined wins in that aspect, but most people dont have a use for tablet mode if their using a laptop. I had the SurfaceBook 3 since it came out, and can probably count on 1 hand where i used it as just a tablet. This is why its great having options and giving people the choice.
@@TecYimBrokeI personally don't have a tablet and really want my laptop to be a combined tablet and laptop. I'm one of those people. not sure if there's many like me, but we exist
@@tubz I am one. I would not even hesitate to buy the duo if it could be in tent mode. WHYYYYY
It would be more expensive and even heavier @@user-tz9fl1yv7r
How much did Lenovo pay you ?
the HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA got me to sub. nice comparision. Duo seems to be a better everything, kick stand, keyboard, pen, but dang it why can't it have 360 hinge.
Can you tell me if its good to use lying in bed like dual screen browsing only no keyboard
Yes actually, I have done this multiple times and works good using the kickstand.
@@TecYimBroke thanks! The kickstand is stable enough on top of you or only by your side? (Sorry i know how it sounds like lol)
@cyb I mainly used it by my side, but I did use it laying on my stomach as well and it was stable, but did notice the kick stand does also get a little warm if your doing moderate tasks, and might get uncomfortable after a while, but basic browsing should be fine.
Ugh, I hate that the asus is better and almost every way. better screen, better designed chassis, better keyboard, you can close the whole thing with the keyboard in it, etc. The only thing the Yoga has on it is the tablet mode, which is why I would buy it over the asus. just sucks
Integrated graphics have really come a long way. There's a lot of things that used to be 'don't even attempt this if you don't have a discrete GPU' that have turned into 'if you do this without a GPU your machine will act like it's 3-5 years old (except lighter and cooler)'.
Anyway, the yogabook seems to win on audio quality, battery life, and how easy it is to use like a tablet while you're walking around, but it seems to be pretty significantly inferior in every other way... for $500 more money. Definitely an L to lenovo this year.
Yeah I agree, and some people might be better off with Yoga Book if they just mainly want basic research capabilities in slick device than thats the way to go.
Bruh... Why u put them obscene jokes and sounds at the beginning?
I was watching with speakers. 😔
😂 ohh boy hopefully you weren't sitting near others.
GEEZ. I'M STILL TORN 😂
You need to hone your voice use because it is too obvious when you are reading and when you are speaking more freely.
It can be hard work to achieve the 'right' style when the nature of your superb site is thoroughly technical but practice on friends, relatives and colleagues.
I recently retired from years working for the UK government in IT acquisition for education, health services, HM Prison Service and sundry allocations to large state and local government users. We always planned well ahead and our tech people worked with we civil servants.
With this sort of scenario in mind it is vital that thorough reviews like yours articulate in a human way and linger over such as I/O, accessibility for maintenance, robustness and how operatives can be efficient at their work.
I have subscribed and have recommended your site to key colleagues still in post.
Wow asus battery life is ass
Could use some improvement. But gotta remember this is 2 displays both at 120hz and 3k running highest Ultra core 9 processor compared to YogaBook only 60hz screen with Ultra 7 processor and old Iris Xe Graphics. They only put in a 75wh battery, I think by next version they'll figure out ways to get a bigger battery in there.
Hey buddy, why don’t you relax and get yourself a cream soda?
Boy talk about a Chicago accent
zenbook duo using 2 displays with less than 5 hours battery is bad.
Yeah hopefully they can improve on that, I will say that it does compare to my Surface book 3 with moderate tasks and only 1 display i get around 5 hours
