This is it. They nailed the form factor! Detachable keyboard and built in prop plus portrait mode is absolute game changers. I want one.
Hey would you like one @bOOmbOOmProd
I have been an Asus user for many years, and I really admire their innovation. They are not afraid to try new technology and push themselves harder. Their products are always reliable and cutting-edge, and I hope other companies will follow their example.
I became a programmer with an Eee PC, one of the first netbooks by Asus. I later got a bigger Eee PC with an 11-inch screen. The ZenBook 3 was the best laptop I ever owned. It was beautiful, but it only had one USB-C port. The screen stopped working, so I made it into a desktop with external accessories.
I always recommend Asus laptops to my friends and others who ask me.I hope I can save enough money for this model.
Lenovo released the same one year ago, you also can find the video about it from Unbox Therapy . So you should know who follow whom and the difference between innovation and plagiarism
@@KZrIsEating this is definitely different than the Lenovo one. also Asus has many other innovations than just this.
I have the zenbook duo half screen and it's perfect for me. Not sure how often I personally would need two full screen displays but for content creators and business folk who often multi-task, I can see this as essential. Awesome
Thats cool, what do you do?
The millons of people so do stocks, stream, work in an office, video or photo editors, etc. Already people are using massive displays, attatching extra displays, or super ultra wide monitors for these daily task. The extra screen is perfect when needed but if not you can lay the keyboard right on top of the other screen. It doesn't require the use of it 100% of time.
I appreciate ASUS for this type of engineering
@@non_being r u sure about that? 🧐🧐🧐
bruh lenovo had this design since a year ago
😅😊@@ToboeKey309
@@non_beingchina will make asus products better anyways
Absolutely correct
I love the duo and have always wanted one. The dual screen looks interesting but I would be curious about the long term durability of it. 🧐🤔
Nothing is meant to last these days, 3 years later it’s on eBay for $200.
I had a zen book duo for a year and then the motherboard apparently stopped working 😥
I did get it used tho
@@jklani8693 lol 3 years is the max
Can't wait for this! Currently on my ROG Flow Z13. It's nice and all but I've been needing an extra screen for work. This couldn't have come at a better time. Can't wait!
At first it seemed to me as a over engineered show-off, but the more I saw it in action and the more I think about it - it actually seems to be really versatile and handy tool! Hope ASUS will stick to that design solution!

Overall I think this is a better package than the Yoga Book 9i both in terms of pricing and convenience. This might've been a better buy for me as a student (I have the Yoga Book 9i rn), but the ability to use the Yoga Book as a tablet while the Duo can't is the deciding factor for me. I end up using the tablet mode a lot for the type of notes I have to take. Having the mouse is also nice for grindwork. Overall, the yoga book seems like it has a better tablet (duh) and multitasking on dual screen mode computer mode (mouse>trackpad), but the Zenbook seems better as a traditional laptop.
Edit: After seeing how much worse the dual screen battery life is on the Zenbook, I now no longer regret getting a Yoga Book 9i instead. 4 hrs of battery with both screens does not cut it
The Yoga flipping backwards is a selling point. And Asus could've done it because they did it for the Vivobook Flip. This is just poorly designed as a gimmick.
no, u will be looking for charging port in every lecture room
@@calvinlee1127 except I haven't🤷♂️. Using the yoga book 9i with one screen in tablet mode gets me through a full day of lectures (8am-4pm). Granted that's with all the low power usage settings on, and I still need to plug in after classes to study afterwards. But since I'm just taking notes, battery life is the priority over performance. Idk much about the chip or software optimization but it seems like 120 Hz, 3k displays on hardware that also charges the keyboard simultaneously won't last as long. Who knows
Hand written notes don't work for me. I moved to the keyboard approach and I encourage you to do the same. And he literally used the pen in the video so whats your point?
@@habibmohammed2779 Nature of the class bro. So for my classes, everything being lectured on and what we need to know for exams come directly from the slides, and the slides are downloadable before class. So all we need to do is highlight key points and jot down the occasional note, no extensive typing necessary. You can understand why a tablet form is more conducive to that sort of note-taking. I'm sure you know that highlighting/jotting with a screen in your lap is more convenient than highlighting/writing when the screen is across from your face. So being able to fold the Yoga Book back on itself so I only have to worry about 1 screen makes more sense in my use case. With the Zenbook, I have 2 screens to deal with even when I only need the one. So one screen would just idly be using battery while I'm highlighting on the other.
Having a Zenbook Pro Duo from 2019, and recently updating to a Zephyrus Duo 16, honestly this is what i wished my 5k laptop would have bringed to the table. Of course with the same specs i got in my Zephyrus, rtx4090 16core Ryzen 9.
Something like this would work for a business traveller for sure. As someone who travels overseas for months at a time I always miss my second monitor……
The onscreen keyboard and trackpad on this device is pretty sweet too 👀 try doing a six finger touch on the bottom screen to pull it up
Damn doing development would be so nice in it. Coding on one side and having a live output on the other side.
It'd be better to have this dual screen than splitting everything in a congested manner
as a yogabook9i owner this is great see but i think lenovo shines more in the ui and the hinge sections. The ability to easily access a screen keyboard for the second monitor is amazing
Yogabook 9i buyer here. Buyers remorse is my middle name. I love the damn thing, but I didn't really think it through in my use case. I'm in IT, and 70% docked, 30% on the go. The 9i, docked next to my 42" LG OLED is heaven. The remorse for me comes in field use. I can deal with no ports other than USB-C, hell I can even deal with a non backlit keyboard, but my biggest issue is the inability to close the lid with the physical keyboard on the lower screen. Yeah, of course I knew this prior to purchase, but my lizard brain shouting, "GIVE ME THE SHINY!" outweighed the ability to give it forethought. At a client's location, I often need to open/close my laptop to move on a short distance. The yogabook 9i, a gorgeous and wonderful machine, just isn't built for that quick close and move / reopen quickly type of scenario. Obviously there is the virtual keyboard, negating the need to even bring out the physical keyboard, but I find it a pain in the ass. I'm trying to use it more to get over the detached feeling of no physical keys, but it's ....odd.
pllllPPpCPPPPPPPPP😢l
they should have incorporated more hinge range so that you could flip it over and have dual screens in the original battleship style for split screen games etc
I work daily with my Asus Zenbook Pro Duo and can't go back to a single-screen laptop. Now this looks like the natural, perfect evolution of this line of products. Will get it for sure.
You forgot the keyboard prop from the packaging. Great video.
I just wanted to see you hold it dual portrait and open an ebook on there and see if it could look like a dual-spread open book lol .... otherwise looks like a solid bit of kit :D
PERFECT! Now i got a change of breaking 2 display at the same time!
This looks amazing
Edit: Can you show more examples of drawing on two screens?
Thank you for this wonderful video! I'm looking to make my own product reviews. I learned a lot watching this with over a page of notes. Be on the lookout on your recommended when i make it big!
great innovation by asus, one suggestion, what if we mold the keyboard in such a way that below it their can be tilting stand and make the keyboard more sturdy because currently there can be an argument of it's build and it breaking
From 2018, I am still using the Pro 15 with the Screenpad. I still gets the job done.
I love it! Nicely demo'd too! What a cool product that does a lot but very well with power and quality! Good Job ASUS Zen 2024!!
You should do a comparison between this and the yoga book 9i. Two amazing futuristic laptops.
I'd love to see that too
It's a 3DS, but in laptop form. Love it
Another good option they should come out with is the kind seen we see at the end of the first "Kingsman" movie, but where once closed, we'd also have a screen, and twice wide the size when open. I actually think that it would be a more pleasant and usable design.
Man so cool, dual monitors are an absolute must, the dual screen rather than the bendy screen is a huge plus. I love it, and love that they aren't afraid to make cool devices.
But you wont buy it.
This laptop looks very good for people that trade for a living, you can watch a podcast or the FOMC while you have a trading your app open, for quicker decisions...or you can have 2 charts on the displays...
I have Zenbook duo 14 (2021)
And it's still working 🤩
Mine was just a regular zenbook 14 ux 2018
And it still punch like a beast.
@@URTRAVEL_MD buying 14 ux was my plan coz I wasn't sure my dad would buy me the 14 duo 😅😅
But somehow he agreed later 😁
Kudos to this very innovative Zen book. Having options means so much.
Nice. I say that as a YB9i owner. I thought that the keyboard was going to fold in the middle and allow you to position it in front of the bottom monitor. It seems the keyboard needs to come along all the time to act as a spacer. Sometimes I will leave the YB9i keyboard behind. I also have a 4k lapdock, so I envisage that sometimes I will take that instead of. the YB9i keyboard and have 3 monitors to use. I haven't really made that much use of mine as I haven't travelled that much.
You can leave the keyboard. The bottom panel has virtual keyboard functionality, and the hinge protects the two displays from impacting for up to 25 kilos of pressure.
I'm curious how the ARC integrated GPU compares to an RTX. Seems promising.
Woaw Its like Yoga Book 9i with Dual Screen Laptop!!! So Many Alternatives Nowadays!!! 👍🏻😃👍🏻
finally some decent design this is actually very useful damn it I want it already
Everyone seems to neglects to say what is the HDMI supported in these computers and I think it's because manufacturers keep the old 1.4 /a/b or 2.0 which is now seen as 2.1 when it isn't.
Everything I want but the video factor? I do video editing. Curious but seems not to have anything but the Intel driver. Have to see it. Looks great though.
So pretty, I'm waiting for 20A or 18A myself. Those are the BIG changes. PowerVIA and RibbonFET @ 20-18 Angstroms
Once you get used to dual screens stacked on each other, you get spoiled and there is no going back to a single screen. this is perfect for those people who want dual screens with the portability of a laptop
shoutout to DIYperks for first trying this configuration, it's a dream come true!
Perfect for working on long flights in coach/economy
I need this for teaching. I use a 16in asus gaming laptop right now so I can split screen for marking. This would be game changer but I have heard it is lagging and bugs out when switching modes so I think I'll wait till the next version comes
Missed the fact that those standard laptops actually had a second screen built into the trackpad. Look again and you'll notice they're a bit glassy compared to traditional trackpads. Dual screen was further innovated to move to the half screen, then the full second screen solutions we see in the foldable and in the latest 2024 model.
So badass. I'll be buying a new laptop this year
Wow! This is what I call innovation. Asus is bringing their A Game! This is impressive. 😮
i just want that keyboard touchpad combo for my desktop ❤🤔
That looks like a Surface product MSFT never thought of, very nice, ASUS!
seeing that knife in the table kept me expecting a scratch test. lol
Clicked for the laptop, stayed for the article
I don't know I still love my Lenovo Yoga 9i Dual Screen. May be two pieces technically. But I feel it works just as good if not better.
Seems like they’ve cracked it by adding a second screen without messing with the laptop form factor we love. Any folding screen with a crease looks hideous to me, and that’s something I’m unsure will get solved anytime soon. I prefer a design that embraces the fold instead of trying to hide it.
Super great unboxing and review 😊🎉❤
Man, I thought the original Zenbook duo iteration was incredible, but this is now by far the most polished, modern, ideally functional version to come about! Expectedly so.

@@IamERAMOS You welcome Sir. Some parts are edited by me
I've usually been a Dell/HP person but this would definitely convince me to switch 😂 mainly due to that kickstand
I have Asus with a second screen in the touch pad and its not completely useless. I use it from time to time.
What a brilliant design, with that razor thin keyboard snapping to the bottom screen. Thus you can still use this as a "laptop" (with a single screen) and use it comfortably on your lap. Unlike something like the Surface Pro. Why MS still make the Surface as a slate with a floppy keyboard, and why people still buy them, is a huge mystery to me. Classic form over function
Hey i'll be giving out a 2024 Zenbook Duo, reach out with details

You the best TH-cam reviewer, funny enough I hardly gey your new videos notifications like other texh reviewers, had to look your channel upm
I really want to see how the Adobe lightroom makes use of the two screens. If done right this is could be a photographer's dream machine. 😅😅
Is it good for architecture stuff? Like rendering and having revit at the same time, my biggest concern is when it heat up probably the screen will be dead in no time? Damn. Hope not, love the set up. It is literally a laptop and a tablet at the same time..hope the screen can handle the heat😢
dust/grains on the bottom of the keyboard will scratch that display like crazy :(
A plus video. is like the happiness of new year and enjoy of a video. yes is it improved form last year. wish to see more how it handle more in a 19 feature so see if the two display can integrate like watching a movie
If I was looking to buy a new laptop, I’d definitely get this!
Honestly now I don't know whether to pick between the yoga 9i or this
Also does this have a quick access virtual keyboard?
I got a like $200 asus Chromebook last year and it’s been an amazing little work laptop runs so well
Great for my line of work with multiple microsoft office and pdf apps
This is so cool! I just wish Windows 11 was better suited for such a form factor and a little more fluid 😅
Interesting concept. My concern with this laptop would be the following.... When you put the keyboard back on top of that screen and apply palm pressure when typing, would a certain pressure crack or damage the screen below the keyboard? How durable is that under-keyboard screen?
Yeah. It's a cool concept, but it's dragged down by the atrocious Windows multi-monitor handling.
i just want the keyboard / touchpad. can we purchase that separately ?
Imagine how much many scratches the second screen is going to get from all the shit the detachable keyboard is going to pick up.
Yup, they got the form factor correct. If this was a form factor available in a Mac, that is something I would buy
Wow! I remember this show.
Lookin as old as me. 😅
Black Mirror Laptop vibes
Means ?
@@thechosenone6333 Black Mirror is a netflix show
I would love to have this. I could even use it as a GM and help with video editing. But no way can I afford this 😔
When can we buy this computer?
Does it lag while running high end applications or multitasking?
Yes sirrrrr… Welcome to Nanotechnology At it finest.
That laptop is powerful with a 4K simple features.
That first dual screen laptop you showed has a broken hinge lmao.
Imagine dropping it once and booom ! You end up with two shattered screens. I felt the pain just by imagining it lol
Dang this would have been amazing to code on in college.
What about the new dual screen Lenovo Yoga Book 9i? I would love to see a comparison.
Just amazing ever Unobxing from ASUS! I was looking for this Technology long time..
Love u like anything. Great content. Just make it more tech savvy rather than a layman mode...keep it up
Would someone let me know the background tracks in this video? Especially beginning at 8:51 😮
U can also flip 1 of the screen so you can present to a client or share content with a friend on the same device :)
Sweeeet
the top display is wobbling everytime you type. Would drive me insane
Wow.. Better that 2 Mac books😊
How i9 zenbook with integrated arc graphics comers to desktop pc with amd 5600 x and 1660 ti graphics? Same ram and storage...
No Asus Transformer? Hehe, not part of the Zenbook line but I feel was the spiritual predecessor
Great concept, I just hope that ASUS eventually make a 16-inch version with discrete graphics. A 360-degree hinge would be even better.
I have the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i. And I like it a lot! :D
I wonder what the zephyrus duo of this is going to be like
anyone know if this could be used as a monitor screen for a different laptop/computer ?
How does this compare to the yoga book 9i??
Sick setup 🎉❤
It's cool.. gimmicky in a way. But what would be the purpose of 2 screens for laptop? In the context of everyday reality and usage... maybe gaming or watching movies while traveling. Just seems like either overkill or waste of area space. But to each their own. It is very nice though
I would run my IDE on one screen, on the other I'd have git bash, and/or powershell, I'd likely use my main web browser on the same screen as my IDE, then open any file folders on the other with my CLIs. Also probably have my videos/music on the 2nd screen also.
@shepardgEOD that's good idea... makes sense with this application. It's damn nice just wish it was a bit smaller... more of a travel size. I'm in sales and travel a lot and it would be great for demos and regular work
It would be better if the screen became seemless like on a Fold 5. But I get it.
Screens like that don’t tend to be durable. I had a Flip and the screen turned green in less than 9 months 😅
i have a cheap speakers for my pc and i still could tell you sound amazing! audio is perfect your voice is crisp
Nintendo DS Emulation will go another level with this :D
With this, I don't need a monitor connect to the laptop anymore. I think many laptop users using an extra monitor during their work.
There should be on-screen keyboard on lower display also...
There is. You can turn it on and off as desired
Bro I’ve always been a windows user but this time I wanted to try something new & I already have a gaming PC so I bought MacBook Pro M2 Pro for my office/business/studies related work but now after a year I regret my decision.. though MacBook is a great machine but multitasking & software support is much better on windows.
Would you like one ?
