I absolutely love mine. Got mine at MSRP in Tampa area (only because a friend of mine is a Toyota sales rep). I am 6’4” and I actually liked the Cross better than the Rav4 because it has more leg room - I feel comfier in my Cross. One thing I will say is, the back seat is insanely small. I am single, no kids, and never have more than 2 people total in my car, so it works for me. But, if I had 3+ people in my car regularly, it would be a nightmare.
Very good review and POV. Looks like GM Nitro yellow paint color ,curious as to how it drive & if it a level of quietness in the interior. I'm comparing this to the Chevrolet Trailblazer, even though the Chevrolet is not a Hybrid. Thanks Mike, still enjoying your reviews. 😅😅 only drawback is lack of a spare tire 😮
Thanks for the good review. I like the car but it seems overpriced for what you get. This is more of a economy car that shouldn't be over $30,000. Since you can get a more luxurious hybrid Accord or Camry for the same price, I would opt for one of those and get as good or better mpg. Generally speaking, all Toyotas and Hondas are now overpriced.
You are paying for Toyota expertise in hybrids that they have perfected in this particular hybrid engine, Toyota reliability/resale/cheaper repair costs, and the AWD and SUV versus a sedan.
Just get the gas model. In town, it gets somewhat better mileage than something like a Kia Soul and isn't terribly lower than a Corolla sedan, with traffic lights.

I found out that the difference between a Corolla Cross and a Rav 4 LE is only $1,000. The Rav 4 has a spare tire, and a larger gas tank. They both get the same gas mileage...but the Corolla Cross has a tiny 40 litre gas tank. If I wanted range anxiety I would buy an E.V. . If Toyota put in a 50 L gas tank, I might buy one, until then it's no bueno !
Nice review - but gloss black on the A-pillar? I wonder what kind of material cladding that is... hope it's not plastic - would be a poor choice of Toyota if it is - imagine the swirls and scratches down the years.
No spare tire = NO WAY! The are indeed circumstances when you actually need a spare tire and a repair kit is NOT the answer. Consequently, this is another vehicle, like the Hybrid CRV, that is DOA !!
The build quality and the quality of the interior materials are not up to Toyota standards. Furthermore, the motor is too noisy/coarse for what this vehicle costs, which is a shame, because it's the type of vehicle that I'm interested in purchasing.
They shouldn't force you to get bigger wheels on the top trim, since this car has some offroad aspirations and you want maximum sidewall height. Ride quality with low profile tires also tends to be worse.

I cannot imagine someone buying a fully loaded Corolla Cross. But the XSE without all those additional packages seems reasonable.
Finally someone who does a good review. Thank you man.
Does the back trunk open up from the front seat?

Where does it show when to fill up the gas tank?
No spare tire? No deal.
I see on the POV that RSA is working well is that in good visibility on the gauge cluster?
No rear amber turn signals on the Corolla Cross?
As a 6 footer, it appears the rear seat would be pretty tight. How tight did you find it to be?
Your review awesome . You’re great !
Nice job & this new hybrid SUV is my choice.
Excellent video Mike.
Great review ! How is the JBL sound system ? -:)

Crossover/suv vs sedan
Everything is overpriced even groceries
Agreed but this is a small size suv not a sedan. So better ride quality over bumps, potholes etc. Also toyota holds their resale value well.

Thank you for the review!!❤

very nice review and car as usual
Any chance you could review a LE trim w a
ICE engine????
Unlikely any time soon. It took 2 years to get access to this one :)
It cannot get out of its own way. Test drove it on NYC highways. Pathetic.

36:48 Only this hybrid model has this reverse sound! International version of this car has a different sound!

It is just paint. It is painted with the roof.
"a rag over an anvil" 😂
Doesnt sound like it has apple car play right?
It does. 35:06
could you fit a tiny donut tire where the high voltage lines are?
i don't get why Toyota placed those cables there where there is clearly space for a compact spare tire.
Maybe because the RAV4 has all those corrosion issues?
@@toronado455 The floor plan is from a Prius, that's why the cables and battery are where they are...and the gas tank is tiny.
They sell an aftermarket kit that allows you to put in a full size spare tire.
Wish they would stop putting plastic around the outside of the cars/suvs. It will fade in the sun and not look good after a couple of years.
I agree.
No spare tire = NO WAY! The are indeed circumstances when you actually need a spare tire and a repair kit is NOT the answer. Consequently, this is another vehicle, like the Hybrid CRV, that is DOA !!
You should be able to get an aftermarket "folding" spare and stash it somewhere.
Yeah it’s so DOA that there’s an 8 to 18 months wait on this configuration in Canada 😂
@@diegosolano3570 He must mean DOA for HIM.

Those are the reasons why I'm looking at other cars. Also not having a spare tire.

nice!
Hope one day we can buy Chinese EV BYD at US, they are much better than Japanese cars
No spare tire = D.O.A.
"Honky horn" 😂😂😂
This should be called the RAV-3 or the RAV-2
That horn sounds very disappointing
