A $5,000 scholarship is borderline offensive as it wouldn't even cover a semester as a state college lol. White Castle brings in over $500,000,000 a year so a full-ride would not have been too much for them.
I'd tell them to keep it. That's like getting a 50 cent raise.
Unless they have changed their policies in the last couple of years, Waste Management is the LAST place you want to work as a driver if you do not want to be watched or spied on.

A job isn't a job without leadership.
I work in takeout. Local. Privately owned open to the public. Just a dude who cleans dishes, cleans the bathroom, sweep and mop floors, runs to the cooler or freeze if the kitchen needed something. Occasionally outside picking up litter or taking out the trash
Usually there's 4-5 people on a shift.
Cashier/cook, 2nd cook, a Manager up front and busboy in the back with the jefe. The owner comes in on occasion to manage or check inventory.
When the boss is not there, it's usually who is more experienced. As in, taking orders/cooking/cleaning/backroom stuff and keeping everything stocked and ready to go.
Sure it's an entry level job. A 16 year old can apply with a work permit. The pay may not be best unless you push for more hours.
Our job is part time for the most part. 20-36 hrs out of a 40 hour week was the busiest I've seen in terms of hours clocked in. For a part timer.

If u go to some fancy pants school instead of a local college. Could pay for a whole year at a community College in the areas white castle operates
@@thomiatyww I live less than twenty minutes from the factory this was filmed in Northern Kentucky... You are lying. Our local community college is still about $12k a year.

Who's holding these cameras? You think that if your standing next to it you would see it. Especially all the zooming in and out.
The cameras are likely set up in secret spots where they can’t be seen and the employees aren’t told about them beforehand. 🤷♂️
I’ve seen these shows before. They tell the employees that the new trainee is on a reality show (or a contest or something) hence the camera crew.
Loved this show, but saw a video from insiders on the show and it ruined it for me..

They said the bosses and employees are real, but everything else was scripted, the bonuses at the end were never real, and the bosses were all jerks to their employees, except when on camera. They were only concerned with making the company look good, not helping people. I shoulda known.

The comments section really tick me off. These bosses are trying to do right by their employees, and want to help those who deserve it. Yet, it's never enough for you people who bitch and moan just to heart your own voices.
Also, before someone says anything - because I KNOW you're probably writing a comment to chew me out - I know there's a high chance a lot of stuff on Undercover Boss is dramatized, but my point still stands. Instead of b****ing and moaning, just be happy that some people are getting the recognition they rightfully deserve.
That's my spiel, my words and opinions. Don't bother replying, because if you just want to argue, I don't have time for you.
No employees no future for the company
When this show first came out I watched a few episodes but I stopped because all of these bosses were amazed at the work ethic and dedication of people they were paying only enough to get by. Typical Republican attitude. It sickens me.
