  • In this video I run through the battery install and set up of the Cuddeback K series cellular camera. These cameras are an unbelievable tool that we have been utilizing on our farms the last couple years. The link system is a game changer that allows you to access all of the pictures from up to 16 of your other cameras without taking a step in the woods! If you have any questions about the video or are struggling on set up leave us a comment or message us on Facebook!

    Love your videos man; huge huge huge help!!! What does it mean when your linking them and it reads 2 weak, 4 weak, 10 weak?

      That means you have a poor signal so you’ll want to move them a little closer together if possible. Thanks for watching glad the videos helped!

    Really good stuff here. Having a hiccup adding new devices in the portal. I have the K camera home unit and bought as a bundle with 4 J Series cameras. When adding the new remote units, the J Series model is unavailable. Only G Series. No luck trying to jam it through as a G Series...Any ideas?

    • @EpicenterOutdoors
      @EpicenterOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matt Maurer you don’t add the Js to your portal they will be on there when they connect to your cell cam through the link menu! The K would be the only device added onto your device portal. I have a cuddelink video adding the j series cams too if you wanna check that out it’ll help you.

    I am in a rural area with hardly any service. I have service for my home k series camera, but the 3 j series I have don’t have service. Do they need to have cell service to send the pics to the K camera so I can get them on my phone? I just set it up today and have got pics from the K but not from any of the Js. Thank you

    • @EpicenterOutdoors
      @EpicenterOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      N Nelson No they do not. They link using the Cuddelink system the only cam that needs cell service is your K camera. If you need help linking them together I would be happy to help if watching the video doesn’t help.

    we just bought this system. our home camera is like the one in your video and we are having problems. I am sure it is something in the settings or set up but we can't figure it out. it constantly takes photos. we have used up our 2000 photo plan in just a few days because we can't figure out why it is constantly taking photos. do you have any clue what setting we might need to fiddle with? We have cleared out all the branchs from in front of it so we don't think that is an issue.
    any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

      @@EpicenterOutdoors thanks for the offer. we finally figured it out. there was a time lapse setting that we missed. it was turned to on and every 15 seconds or something crazy so the images were coming constantly. all good now.

    Hey i got a question. Where i hunt i do not get signal so i cancelled my cell plan and now my camera will not take pics. Do you have to have a cell plan for it to work, or do you have to set it up different? Please help

    • @EpicenterOutdoors
      @EpicenterOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cell cameras don’t work without a cell plan it needs an active cell plan to take pictures. At least that’s what I’ve been told.

    5 months battery life? Are you in a colder climate or warmer? We are in the middle west and it can get cold in the winter. I wonder if I would get 5 months in 20 degree or less weather?

    Marky

      @EpicenterOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We live in Western Pennsylvania, so I had these cameras out in November and it was in the mid to low 30s. The lithium batteries definitely help with battery life in colder weather too. They lasted a lot longer with lithiums, but Cuddeback in their new cameras are switching over to D batteries which should help with battery life as well. They sell an alternative battery pack booster as well that will easily last your season out there.

      @John1911 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EpicenterOutdoors Oh hell. You are in PA? We are in Ohio. So we get the same weather. Good. I have one more question if I may? How close do these cameras have to be to each other to network? Trying to figure out how many we need. -Marky

    • @EpicenterOutdoors
      @EpicenterOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@John1911 Well that really depends on the terrain the range suffers through hills, but in flat areas you could reach out a couple hundred yards in open flat areas the range is the best. You'll still get good range on hills and valleys if you run a camera in a valley and connect it by putting a camera above it on a ridge if possible. The best way to do it I have found is to pull up that CL level menu after setting up your cell cam and just walking away from it toward the next area you were looking to put it out and see if it still has signal anything above WEAK signal will send consistent pictures. You will still receive pictures with a weak signal, but you could miss one here or there.

    • @John1911
      @John1911 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EpicenterOutdoors Just ordered 5 of them, so we'll see how it goes? I called Cudde and they indicted the range was from 1 mile to 1/4 mile. Line of sight not needed. I figure we will be well below 1/4 mile so hopefully the hills won't hurt the signal too badly. Fingers crossed. -Marky

      I’m not sure exactly why that would be the case. It could be an issue with your home camera. I would call Cuddeback customer service. If they can’t help you I’ll run through your settings with you. Just let me know!

      They believe it could be a faulty sd card

    • @EpicenterOutdoors

      That would make sense I guess why it wouldn’t be collecting your pictures to send. Best thing to do would be just try a new card. Good luck!
