FANTASTIC Tutorial. Very Clear and concise! Thank you! I noticed 8.3 FW is the same FW back in 2021 when you set your cameras up. Do you have any update on how it is working in the field?
This was a very helpful video. I found it this morning and have already watched it twice. I have had Cuddeback cameras for at least a decade and I learned a lot.
I set mine up yesterday fir the first time and now know what I did wrong. Unfortunately they’re five hours away from my home and I have to wait a couple of weeks before I get back up there to correct !
First off I love the detail you put into this video and I followed everything you said to set them up. I only have the Home and 1 remote camera. Put them out last night and I've gotten TONS of pictures from my remote camera of absolutely nothing! I'm trying to figure out if these are going towards my picture count. I ran the 750 pic plan with just my Home camera before it went bad and I exchanged it for the newer one and bought a remote one also. I'm not understanding all these pictures I'm getting and it keeps it up I'll be out of my cell plan before to many days!
Yes you will. Is something triggering the detection, piece of grass, etc? I would go to the camera, take the batteries out, hit the mode button while they are out until the screen dies. After the screen dies, you can put the batteries back in. This is a hard reset. You can also enable extra images on your plan which gives you an extra 1000 images for $5 per month if used. If you want to talk through anything, call me 7152224357
I went out last evening and mowed around and replaced the camera before I saw your reply back. Next time I go out I'll do what you said and see if that helps. I'm still getting pictures today about every hour of nothing being there, and also my home camera I'm not getting pictures of anything even though I know something is eating the corn. I did drive by it yesterday in my ranger and it did send that but that's all. Everything is coming from my remote camera of like I say Nothing. Scratching my head! Thank You for your time!@@internalflameoutdoors
This is the best video I have seen. I really appreciate your help. It was a very long and frustrating process before discovering your video. We are transitioning from all J series with the home base that was not cellular. We added a G series cellular for the home and set up cellular service. We cannot get camera #2 to leave "Link Level" search. It never registers a level. It just continues to search. I reset it and updated the software, but nothing. Hopefully, I can figure out what is wrong, or maybe our camera is malfunctioning.
@@internalflameoutdoors , Ok I uploaded the firm on my SDK card but the cell cam keeps saying check sd card? It only shows busy for a second or 2 then says check sd card? Any help would be appreciated
@@Mustachio63 try taking the batteries out of the camera and letting it completely die. Hit the mode button until the screen goes blank. Also reformat the SD card and re-download the firmware onto it. Try again after reinserting the batteries into the camera. New to the cuddeback links system. See this video was back in 2021. Curious if you have tweaked any settings since and/or if you have any new recommendations. I am running the L series, no glow with a dedicated cell home. Testing it out now with hopes to add several more cameras. Thanks in advance.

Awesome video. What process allowed you to see the remote devices in the app/camp website? I am only seeing the home device despite having cuddelink configured and receiving pictures from the remotes. Thank you for the guidance.
They should pop up automatically in your device settings once they are connected in the field. It may take a few hours after being connected in the field.

Why wouldn’t you upload the lastest firmware to each sd card that’s going to be in a camera? Also, doesn’t the sd card need to be formatted? Thanks planning to buy the starter set this weekend.
Should a person do the cell test with it attached to tree/structure in which it will be mounted while in the field in case there is some influence from that?

been thinking about getting these cameras i have 60 acres and only 1 hill that gets cell service. will these link off each other or are they all linked to the same cell camera? and if so whats the range on the linked cameras? thanks
Remote cameras will link to each other if it makes sense vs going straight to the home camera. Ideally, the home camera is centrally located and the other cameras are spread out like spokes on a wheel, for example. Range varies drastically depending on forest density, hills, open areas, etc. You will get anywhere from a little less than a 1/4 mile to 1 mile between cameras if the ground is flat and wide open.
This made the whole process simple! Thank you so much! Under commands there's an option to "take picture." Have you ever tried that? Does it take a picture as soon as it receives the command and does it take just one? Is this for if you want a real time image? (Monitoring a hog trap.) Also, I love the Remote Pause option when using these for surveillance. Have you done this? We're using these for both security as well as game management, so when we're out there there is a camera on the house that we don't want triggering every time we go outside, but would be nice to have it on during the night. Would you just turn it back on manually each night from the website?
Your welcome, thank you! The take picture command is mostly for if you think you have a camera that may not be working. It will usually send a picture on either the next drop of pictures or the one after that. I have not use the Pause option but if you do, I would make sure you have your cell rate set to one hour and turn it back on at least an hour before you want it to be monitoring
The Home Camera is the only one that needs to be activated online. The remote cameras get linked to the home camera through the link menu. Each camera needs a unique location (link loc). All cameras need to be on same firmware. All cameras on same channel. Once you have a link level established, arm the camera and you are ready to go!
What a great video. Most others just breeze thru the actual computer setups. You did what the manufacturer did not do~. One question. If i set all this up at home, and activate the cell plan and link the cameras, CAN I SHUT THEM ALL OFF until i take them out to the woods?? If so, do I need to do anything to any of the cameras when I get in the woods and turn them on?

Do I have to do the cell test for the cell service to start working? I forgot to do the cell test but all the cameras connected. However im not seeing them on the back end
Yes, need to run the cell test. Everything should link up after you run it as long as the cameras are in range on the same channel and each have a unique location ID.
@@stevendavis2779 that may work for a while, but may cause problems in the future. I can’t say for sure what causes the interference, but I have had problems in the past with two cameras in the same network having the same link ID.

I understand the distance to each camera could vary because of occasion variables but what average range do you think the camera can be set away from the home base camera? Thanks in advance
For simplicity sake I will stick with 1/4 mile to 1 mile depending on all the factors. If you give me an example of what you are looking to do I can give you an idea of what I think the range would be.
Question for you that I have not been able to figure out once the camera detects motion does it take the first picture immediately or is there a delay in the first picture being taken? Is there a way to control when the first picture is taken. This is not a question concerning anything beyond the very first picture it takes.
No delay, 1/4 second trigger speed. The pictures after that depend on what you have your delay set to. For example if the delay is set to five seconds the camera will take another picture five seconds later.
@@internalflameoutdoors thank you so much I had an argument with one of their technical department personnel today, I’ve got a spare camera here that I thought I was going to send back because it has apparently a bad sensor and the sensor has been bad since day one and there’s documentation of it but they won’t covered under warranty because it’s beyond one year, the images are pink at times and they said that is a fault of some sensor. I thought it was the setting I messed up on is the reason I had not notified them earlier this just really disturbs me, the pink color is just disturbing, I can still see all the images just fine so I guess I’ll live with it even though I feel their customer service on this issue is bad. But they were adamant with me that the first image is 30 seconds after motion is detected I knew that couldn’t be the case. Running a test right now for myself
If you have one location on your property have great cell service. But is on the corner of the property. I thought the cameras can act like a repeater from a camera that can see, Then transmit the home camera.. (Did that any make any sense?) thanks!
My son set up this last year and I'm setting it up for me this year however everything was fine till this shows up device with matching iccid/imei already exist.. What do I do now?? Please help
On step 6 I do not have the device settings to edit the cameras. All I have is Back to Device, Device Details, Billing Plan. Do you know why I can’t change the device settings??
Hello, I get to step 6, but I only see my home camera out of 3. In addition, it doesn’t show my link channel that I set both on camera & on the back end. I did get a “success” from my cell camera & 2 other IR cameras. I did have a low signal on my phone, so I’m thinking it’s cuddeback portal/website or just taking time to update. What are your thoughts on this since I had everything in the field working properly? Thanks
@@internalflameoutdoors no, still shows the system pending and nothing has changed on the back end. I did read that the cell camera will not work if you have 1x or 3G service. That is why I am a bit confused since it did say “success” in the field. The cell camera did take 3 minutes or so to get the “success” connection established. I live 1 hour away from the property, so I will have to check the home camera in a few days. I do think it’s a cell issue now, so I think I will have to move it back a bit more where I had better cell service.
@@bamalivin3145 it was a cell related issue in the field. Had to move my home camera to an area that had the best service. Everything works perfect now.
Great video. I set up according to your instructions (I have a cell camera and 8 remote cameras). The cell camera sends images to my email address, however the remote camera images do not get sent. Any idea what might be wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.
If the camera is froze, take the batteries out and let the camera completely die. Once the batteries are out hit the mode button until the screen goes blank. Wait 5-10 minutes and re-insert the batteries
Two questions: One: do you need to have it set up with the cellular plan to use the website to make changes to the settings? Two: in the setup, if you chose ADVANCED, the instructions show an option for D/IMAGE where you can select the numbers of pictures taken with each burst. I do not see this in the actual camera setup screen, and you did not mention this in your video. Any ideas?
1. Yes you need the cell plan. 2. Burst mode is disabled when the system is in Cuddelink. If you are using a remote camera as a standalone camera it can be in burst mode.
My home camera is still sending me pictures that were taken in the middle of the night all thru the day. How do I set it to send pictures in real time? The remotes are on surveilance mode.

@@internalflameoutdoors Oh! So you can use the regular cameras as the home camera!?!? I didn't realize that. I have the Link cameras as well, just not the service. Thank you for the videos. They have been most helpful!
@@melaniekaknes-dnr9056 yes, you just pull the chip card from the camera that is designated home. Thank you for the feedback!
@@internalflameoutdoors on another sidenote is there anyway that the trigger delay could be greater than 1/4 second
@@MartyHuie not that I know of
If you have one location on your property have great cell service. But is on the corner of the property. I thought the cameras can act
like a repeater from a camera that can see, Then transmit the home camera.. (Did that any make any sense?) thanks!
Yes, the cameras can daisy chain across a property from a corner.
My son set up this last year and I'm setting it up for me this year however everything was fine till this shows up device with matching iccid/imei already exist..
What do I do now??
Please help
Have to call Cudde on that one
On step 6 I do not have the device settings to edit the cameras. All I have is Back to Device, Device Details, Billing Plan. Do you know why I can’t change the device settings??
Have the device settings popped up for you now?

Hello, I get to step 6, but I only see my home camera out of 3. In addition, it doesn’t show my link channel that I set both on camera & on the back end. I did get a “success” from my cell camera & 2 other IR cameras. I did have a low signal on my phone, so I’m thinking it’s cuddeback portal/website or just taking time to update. What are your thoughts on this since I had everything in the field working properly? Thanks
Sometimes it takes bit more time for the system to mesh together. Is everything online now?
@@internalflameoutdoors no, still shows the system pending and nothing has changed on the back end. I did read that the cell camera will not work if you have 1x or 3G service. That is why I am a bit confused since it did say “success” in the field. The cell camera did take 3 minutes or so to get the “success” connection established. I live 1 hour away from the property, so I will have to check the home camera in a few days. I do think it’s a cell issue now, so I think I will have to move it back a bit more where I had better cell service.
Any updates? Im having the same problem but its only been a few hours.
@@bamalivin3145 it was a cell related issue in the field. Had to move my home camera to an area that had the best service. Everything works perfect now.
@@bryandaxon2020 sorry brother I had totally missed your reply comment
Great video. I set up according to your instructions (I have a cell camera and 8 remote cameras). The cell camera sends images to my email address, however the remote camera images do not get sent. Any idea what might be wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.
Are all cameras on the same firmware, same channel an have a unique “link loc”?
@@internalflameoutdoors Yes, I triple checked all cameras are on 8.3 and each has a unique link loc.
@@SecondStoryDuo did you establish the link level for each remote camera before arming each camera.
@@internalflameoutdoors Yes, all above 90. I am testing them out in my home before taking them out to our farm.
@@SecondStoryDuo you are good to go. Put them on the farm!
great video...thank you very much.
Best video yet, Thanks A lot!!
You are welcome and thank you!
great video.....was able to get set up....couldn't have done it without your help....thanks
Awesome happy to hear! Thank you!
my cuddelink series G 5109 has cell tx on the screen and it is froze. Any ideas?
Linked cameras are not showing on the account and do not see any way to add them (only cell cameras are showing to be added) What to do?
Review step 5 of the video.
Step 5 Connecting the remote cameras!
37:00 to 47:30 minutes

When I get to link channel I only get one number. When I hit more it doesn’t go to the next number it goes to 250? I’m stumped
Firmware needs to be updated to 8.3
Thanks will do
Where do I find the ICCID#?
Great video.
Link menu never showed up on my home camera
Are you still having issues?
Was I your fourth grade teacher? Did you go to fourth grade in Hudson, Wisconsin?
Yes!
Where do I find the ICCID# & IMEI#. ??
Got it Hank you!

I like using AA batteries because where i am it gets cold as shlt and lithium batteries last the longest by far in cold weather
Are you running the Cuddelink System?
@@internalflameoutdoors not yet , trying to decide. Others use AA. Alkline dont last very long in the cold like 20f . Have 4 cuddeback noncellular

I didn't realize this was so complicated. I bought 2 of these and I don't have internet connection or a computer that I can set these up with

The night time quality of the cuddy back is not very good compared to other cameras I've used that are cheaper
I agree that there are camera’s that have better picture quality. The picture quality is not the signature of the Cuddelink System. The Cuddelink System is for killing the biggest deer on your property.

Sorry, every Raovac I've tried has been garbage. I've had the best luck with Energizers, but to have my systems last the entire year I go with batteries + solar panel.
Interesting on the Rayovac and Energizer. Absolutely agree batteries plus solar is the way to go if the camera has adequate sunlight 👊
How many times have these cams been hacked? You showed all of the prvt information on the cams, including the IMEI #🤣
