    I can’t complain about the low-end torque on my ‘13 GT with a Paxton novi 2200SL, but I have BBK long tubes and high flow cats.

      @@Jrgnthestreet u did forget to mention a couple extra ones. So first the coolant overflow tanks expand significantly and are prone to leaking and also belt slip. I have a couple belts slips. I swapped to a dayco belt and it immediately solved all belt slip issues.

    • @Jrgnthestreet
      @Jrgnthestreet  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I thought about those but I feel like they’re less common with most people. I personally never experienced the belt slip with the 3.8 but even if I did I feel like it’s an easier fix than most of the other issues. And the coolant tank just slipped my mind lol

    Solid! Definitely considering a separator and blow-off. I got a procharger kit for my 2023, and a bit nervous about that killing my warranty, so any safety measures are better than none. Was thinking about doing it myself, but I don’t really have the setup to do everything right, so end of July I can get a shop to do it… but that’s so far out 😅 … didn’t realize I would have to remove the crank pulley bolt, thought it went through the stock accessory drive and it was just a simple bolt on 🤪
    great video, awesome editing too

      @Jrgnthestreet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks I appreciate it! You’ll definitely wanna get a crank support kit for any prochargers as they are known for snapping coyote cranks. The plus to a pro charger is if you blow a belt off it’ll still drive lol

      I honestly don’t know because tvs have their own set of issues as well and they’re more expensive and then there’s the almighty turbo which was my more likely choice I probably would have went that route even though turbos can be a pain as well atleast I’d know that I’d be getting the most power possible .

    Coming from a procharger on my 2014 GT. These issues are spot on! As for the low torque, at least it's better than stock lol. The major problem I had with the procharger was the fan shroud and fan provided by them. I alway had issues with that fan always burning the wires and blowup my fueses/fan resistor( wiring was not a wiring issue)

    • @engel4365
      @engel4365 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you managed to fix that? If so how and if not could you wrap the wiring with heat protective wrap?

    • @lionl8250
      @lionl8250 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@engel4365 I never got to fix that issue before my car got rear ended by an 18 wheeler. I tried everything! Rewiring the fan directly to the battery, only powering up when I turn the ignition ON. I went through 3 fan resistors and so many fuses, I even bumped up the relays for higher amps thinking the fan was pulling a lot of power. The issue my not have been from the pro charger kit. I do believe pro charger could have done a Better job designing that kit so we wouldn't have to use that hideous fan shroud with an aftermarket fan. My issue was the fan wires were getting way too hot to a point that the wiring and resistor melted causing my car to overheat and bust the cap off the coolant tank because no FAN cooling the engine. Yes I also heat wrapped the wires but the head was coming from the copper wires itself.

    Knock detected by the knock sensor is for detecting detonation in the engine. Not things physically clanking in the engine bay.

    • @Jrgnthestreet
      @Jrgnthestreet  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes however, the knock sensors are very sensitive in coyotes and sit directly under the intake manifold. things hitting in the engine bay can can be picked up by the knocks sensors and simulate knock which is why when tuning most tuners will call it “false or ghost knock”

  • @lobbyrobby
    @lobbyrobby 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Good stuff man. I was planning on a whipple for my 2020. However I'm interested in the new kit from ess. Apparently it's a great unit and affordable. I'm not looking for huge hp. 600 to the wheel would be enough. I don't want to end up replacing axels, clutches etc. Plus I'll be running a 275 rear tire so traction will be an issue. I just don't know if I'll need to upgrade my oil pump gears. I'll have fun with the car but I won't constantly be balls out and bouncing off the rev limiter

    • @Jrgnthestreet
      @Jrgnthestreet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t done my opgs and (knock on wood) the cars been fine so far just be cautious like you said and unless it’s a drag radial I’d go a little bigger on the rear tire and make sure it’s a good performance style tire

    • @lobbyrobby
      @lobbyrobby 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Jrgnthestreet I just spent 3k on new rims and the rear is a 9.5 inch. Maybe I could run a 295 but I don't know. Michelin pilot sport 4s so they are a good tire.

      Hmmm you may be ok

    • @liyahalex7308
      @liyahalex7308 ปีที่แล้ว

      Going a bigger tire isn't going to help with traction....Its the compound and material that'll help... I ran 275's on alot of my cars. like camaro etc and people with 315's that were cheap as hell would spin like crazy while i'd have some chirp... Just food for thought. you gotta look at the material. Else you're adding weight for no reason

    • @Jrgnthestreet

      @@brianpreston2911 damn idk where you live where e cost that much lol it’s usually cheaper than 87 here in PA. And opgs and crank sprocket are really one of those “you should do it but you may get away with not doing it “ type of things most auto cars don’t need it but manual cars should but most of us like myself didn’t and got away with it lol. Unless you’re bumping the rev limiter up or getting a 2 step then I’d say without a doubt do it . But either way it’s going preventative maintenance.
