      I don't think she was chuckling, it seemed that the interrogator was hammering her guilt and making her understand how much of monster she was. When he saw her flipping the photos over and saying she didn't believe that the corpses were her kids, he saw a twinge of humanity, a humanity that was tormenting her conscious and trying its damnedest to deny her crime. the interrogator never let up while maintaining a calm, logical demeanor. She must have been reeling between guilt and survival, absolutely mortified into silence at her present situation and past deeds.

    • @cocoapuffpanda
      @cocoapuffpanda 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      I think it was because she said it was a strange situation. So he was asking her why she would use the word "strange" about the situation when it was very clear why she was there. Because her children were murdered. If she was innocent, it wouldn't be a "strange" situation, it would be a sad and heartbreaking situation to be in. But it WAS strange how she was acting and that she showed hardly no emotion at all about her children being dead and that is what he was trying to point out. Just my opinion though.

    I’m sorry, but she says she is invoking her right to remain silent - then they question her for a further 5 HOURS! That’s wrong. Imagine sitting in a room with someone, being told by the person whose job it is to protect you (lawyer) not to say anything and not being allowed to leave until you tell the person in the room what they want to hear. There are so many wrongful confession stories that occur EXACTLY this way (I’m not saying that this is the case here).

    • @claytonkimball7425
      @claytonkimball7425 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      In Canada, you have the right to remain silent, but unlike in the US, asserting that right doesn't end an interrogation. We also don't have the right to have a lawyer preset during questioning. You can speak to one before but not during except in very specific circumstances. We don't have an equivalent to Miranda v. Arizona. The cases that set out rights during interrogation are R v. Sinclair, R v. Oickle, and R v. Singh.

      @@laurabenevides7061 Yeah it can be hard to make objective judgements in cases like this where children are involved. But from that objective standpoint, I'd much rather someone like this go free as opposed to someone who has a history of violent crime against random people. I don't fear the woman who kills her own kids nearly as much as the person willing to kill innocent bystanders while robbing a liquor store. I'm pretty sure that the "re-offend rate" for people who kill their own kids is much lower than for those who do it for profit.

    So, woman has children with criminal per usual, gets mad that her Chad criminal won't live up to what she expected of wealth opulence and evil, at exact revenge by offering her two daughters to Baal. Women always exact same type of revenge on a man by distancing or hurting children she if anyone deserved it should get the death penalty
