    This is the problem with juries. There's so many stories now, where evidence goes dismissed, because the jury couldn't understand the language, words, significance, science or anything. It's so bizarre that someone's life hangs in the ability of a witness to explain science to a bunch of hicks. After explaining all the science, they shrug, and you go to prison regardless.

      @@mikl12354 not just vets but we should give people with any mental illness ways to get help. We have little for people who are homeless or don’t have the money to pay for therapists

      evidence can be overruled by emotion, i think this is enough to assess how screwed and fragile that "justice" system is. All you need to do to get out of any trouble is a) don't talk, be smart b) hire a smart lawyer that can build an **emotional** and solid narrative and convince the jury of it. It doesn't matter if you're caught red handed with all the evidence in the world pointing at you, all you have to do is resonate with a bunch of idiots (the jury) and you're golden

    That full video of Andrew killing that officer is pretty hard to listen to. It doesn't show the body but the officer screaming in fear and pain is really something else.

    That poor woman who had to watch the officer being shot to death while on the ground. Being in the area of the gun fight is scary but she stayed instead of running, and then as she said, when the officer was knocked down, was planning to go help them, and because of that she had to witness a human being being murdered.

    Cases like this really scare me to watch. Especially when there's video of a real shootout. But somehow watching Rae watching it makes me feel better.. Like I'm not watching it alone. I'm not sure I'd be able to watch these videos on the JCS channel directly.

      I'm in tears right now for the tragedy of the whole ordeal. Your right they were both victims and I feel like the death penalty should have been appealed and Andrew should've spent time in a mental facility. I have a sneaking suspicion though his lawyer wanted to push for it but Andrew declined it. I think Andrew was suffering being alive and he wanted to die. Its just sad.

    I dunno what happened to me. As soon as I got the recording of the shootout. I broke out into sobbing from my own fear. And now I am coming back to this with someone else so I can listen to this and not feel like I'm going to get hurt.

    Ok so how did that one guy who was clinically insane in the other jcs video get sentenced to life in a psychiatric hospital after killing a man for literally no reason. But this man who clearly had mental problems as well did basically the same thing but he gets death. Somethings wrong with our court system.

      There are very strict rules about pleading insanity. Having a mental disorder isn't the only requirement. You can google it, it's very interesting imo. And I don't even think he pleaded insanity in this case, I think it was PTSD?

    And this is why cops should be trained on how to de-escalate situations instead of shouting like a dumbbass … it’s literally the equivalent of poking a bear with stick in winter and then being surprised when the bear rips him open.

      Which situation are you talking about? The first one with the vet only fired after he was shot at, and had many chances to before well within his right since he knew the guy had a gun and the man he was talking to was no mentally stable very clearly from dancing in the road and his aggression.
      The second one she was confronting a known murderer, and didn't fire either until fired at, I do agree with you completely, but I don't think it applies to these situations specifically.

    I feel bad for the war vet but this video kinda triggers me not only because a man has been killed trying to do his job correctly and giving multiple chances for the vet to surrender but also think of all of my people who has died to the police because they chose to use excessive force. It makes me think if they were given the same Opportunity they wouldn’t be on T-shirts rn😔

      "My people"
      A lot of "your people" seem to resist arrest and get aggressive with cops while disobeying orders. Excessive stupidity tends to be met with excessive force. Maybe you and "your people" should act more normal when dealing with cops and you'll be just fine.
      Also, the interaction with the vet is exactly the reason why most cops get aggressive quickly. Don't act like the mentally ill vet and 99% of cops won't harm you.

      @@revolutionairre A lot of MY people get shot and killed for way less. A lot of my people get shot while not having weapons in their car. In this interaction the vet had a gun and clearly showed it. Police officers are not trained to act on aggression nor fear. Every encounter is not the same and should be treated as such
