Part of the greatness is that all they film are "passion projects". So the editing, music, everything is done with passion. They don't buy or build something they don't truly want. I like LZ, and Jimmy and Fyeah, but they do most of there content for viewers. This hits different because it not rushed and its not done to impress us. What's more impressive is I think they put more time and money into the editing and filming then the cars.

@@jamesborek8125 the hardest part with aluminum is it needs to be clean clean clean. Did I mention clean? 😂 literally you need to use acitone on the filler rod, the front and back of the metal you’re welding.
Add the s15 there and take out "90s japanese". Those 3 cars are some of the most beautiful cars ever made. I'd say they sit alongside the Toyota 2000gt and the E-type

Found this channel about a year ago with the Civic vs Miata road trip. The shots that they capture are phenomenal with no BS click bait. You can really tell that they love what they do and want to share that experience with everyone. I look forward to seeing their content like a kid getting up for Saturday morning cartoons.

It looks absolutely amazing! And about wraps, for a temporary change, they're great. I wrapped my E36 3M gloss envy green over a week during the summer, and the results are great for a diy job. People sleep on wraps too much. For a temporary or more cost effective colour change, you can't beat it. Less prep work, no drying times, easier... I love it.
@@jeldibye yeah, having it done professionally won't be cheap. It's the wrapper's time you're paying for then, rather than the material. I paid £500 for material and worked for around a week, but you get what you pay for. A professional job will look amazing, a diy one will have it's imperfections. But the material is still excellent
Gears & Gasoline. The underdog of car YT channels. Always surprising me. This channel has my heart! It doesn’t have billionaire boys yelling at the camera pointing and drag racing their obnoxious Lamborghinis. But their videos are just so nice! Attainable cars that car enthusiasts can actually go after. And a great learning experience too! @G&G, Awesome work with the filming, photography & sound track.
You should consider installing a stock wing on that bad boy, the back looks just a little bit empty. Love how far the car has come and I'm looking forward to more of it!

I actually really like how modest this first phase of the build was. I see way too many 'XXX HP DYNO DAY' titles, This was just build Ep. 3. And 10/10 for getting it happy rather than going for the highest number. Especially when it'll be the first road miles of the car in so long! Respect to Andy and everyone involved.
I feel like Andy's gotten used to being on camera, he makes a more direct and relaxed approach/appearance everytime he's on. He actually makes direct eye contact now, as opposed to older videos with him.
I’m not huge with the import scene. I’m into hot rods and classic trucks. But there’s something about these videos that I really enjoy. The cars aren’t the typical ricer garbage that I see constantly on the streets. These cars are clean and the mods are executed nicely.
That wrap transformation is incredible. Credit to the guys at that shop. And ASM for their massive efforts too. And to you mate for making this all come together.

360 wheel hp is super fun, if you say that’s low power in a light rear wheel drive car. Than you haven’t driven one. I had a 380 whp S13 and it ripped, and was super balanced.

I am not the hugest fan of red but that looks real good and I honestly would consider a shade like that when you paint it. Sets of the natural curves of the car.
That color looks really good, especially with the contrasting black wheels. Also good to see a "conservative" power level and get the rest of the car sorted before going up. Not trashing it directly until things fall off or explode.

I wanted to k swap a rx7 so bad but they are crazy expensive in Canada even a shell. So settled for a rx8 and almost done my k swap. Alot of hrs and money ill say that! About 30k so far into the car and its still completely stock exterior wise. But shes built for 1000+hp Love the vid boys
I gotta say I avoided watching this series because I typically don't like Honda/Honda engines for a few different reasons, but I gotta say you've done a great job keeping it clean and it actually sounds really good which I'm pleasantly surprised about Keen to see what's next
i love pop up headlight cars, but after putting the oem cover back on in that clip i noticed how clean shaped and aero looking they are compared to most popups like my fiero for example, where they are just square lol. i guess that was more the popup style towards the end of the 90s and popups.
My lord, what a sexy FD RX-7! Everything came out amazing. Love the K20 and the 365 whp, and that was the least possible power it would make! Even the wrap came out 🔥. Looking great, Ben. Having so much fun watching the build series.
Curious to see if the handling is still good with the k24 motor. It appears the weight will have slightly higher center of gravity versus the rotary. Then again I’m not seeing it in person. Very nice build and interested to see what happens!

Yeah no track data the Mazda engineers were brilliant and you can rest assured they left no stone unturned when it came to steering geometry and weight distribution.
I understand the allure of the k-swap, for some it's like pressing the "easy" button, but when you look at all the parts that still had to be re-engineered, and you look at what the aftermarket provides for the 13b in bolt-on solutions, it really isn't clicking the "easy" button anymore, not in this car.
