These videos are FIRE! The pacing is on point, the quality is top notch, and the story telling is out of this world. We'd love to have you guys by the shop some time! We're not too far from ASM.
That’s because they’re not just doing the “trendy” or cool thing to do atm. They genuinely love cars and it shows and it draws us who have the same genuine love for cars and actually working on our cars . So naturally it brings us car guys who like to get our hands dirty together.
When I watch a TH-cam video I find myself double tapping to skip 10 seconds alot... The pace of your videos is perfect, never feel like I'm bored unbelievable work, keep it up!
There's literally not another channel that I watch every single video from, and I've been on TH-cam for over a decade. Great work guys, never disappointed.
I'm always impressed how much N/A power these K series motors can make with simple bolt ons and a good tuner on the keyboard. 250whp all motor with stock internals is impressive as hell to me.
Ben's cars every year or two: "Aw shit, here we go again." Amazing content my dude. It's hard to believe videos of this quality are available for free. You could easily be on Netflix.
Your build is by far my favorite on youtube. In fact your guys channel is becoming my favorite as I continue to be hooked on HPDE and one day maybe some TA events :)
from watching GnG i've learned that good things must come to an end :( . 18 minutes felt like nothing when you're watching quality content. Good Job team!!!
Every video y’all take my breath away with the absolute best enthusiast car content on any platform. I love your channel so much, plz never stop making content. You guys are one of my main inspirations that got me into cars. I hope y’all break all the records and get all the podiums at GridLife!
nice gains on the 'stock' engine over the modded one, haha ...make up a thermal barrier to shroud the Intake Air from the Radiator heat soak, and find away to duct outside air into the Air FIlter location. If you had shut the hood and done a few pulls, you would quickly see the heat soak factor. But all looking great so far Ben & gang! Love these videos BTW!
I do an engine course as part of my engineering degree and I think the reason you gained power with bellmouth end intake pipe is because of wave dynamics. So when the intake valve opens it produces an expansion wave which gets reflected as a compression wave which acts to supercharge the air going into the engine. More air means more fuel which equals more power! You might also get more or less power depending on the length of that pipe because you can time the wave to arrive at exactly the right point in the cycle. My lecturer talked to us about this, he tuned motorbike engines for our university in Belfast Northern Ireland and we were able to beat industry manufacturers at races
The reflection at the bellmouth end produces the opposite wave which is why you get the compression wave and more power. The no intake you ran has a plain end which produces an reflected expansion wave which reduces the density of the air going into the engine which is why you made less power with it
cool to see! This is almost exactly what i'm looking for when I k-swap my 94 eg si. Going to go all-motor stock k24a2 looking to reliably put down about 230 whp. Im gonna put an AWD trans on though because eventually I want to make it AWD.
Duct the intake down to the front bumper for a ram air. Faster you go the more effective and you're definitely going fast enough to see the benefits. The 5.0 f150s age gaining several mph and a couple tenths in the 1/4 doing just that
I said out loud to my self... No witnesses... 243! :O ....and then 251 when you got the flowing manifold! :D Also, Ben & Ben.... I need about 43 more videos this weekend, prrrrllllleeeezzz? :O
Love the video. I was at NCM for the season opener of grid life in bowling Green, Kentucky. It was so cool to meet Andy and see tall Ben's evo run. Keep up the great work.
You should always use the “SAE corrected” Hp figure (SAE J1349). This way, you eliminate the “well, it was this hot in the dyno room...blah, blah, blah”
Exactly why random chassis dyno numbers just only be used to compare before and after tunes/mods on the same car and day. Or between two cars on the same day.
@@mattdwyer1761 always use the same dyno for baseline and post mods runs. Mustang, DynoJet, etc synod all have their own characteristics, that can result in variations in output readings if you jump between them.
You know the video is too good, when you get mad watching these masterpieces, knowing your videos are not at that level yet. You definitely the greatest doing this right now. - nsa_vette
PSA - when filling gas cans, place them on the ground and ensure the metal fuel nozzle is always in contact with the container to ensure a proper (closed) electrical ground to equalize electrical charges. Go the extra step and make sure you're also in contact with any metal on the handle or metal hose connections with bare skin. The flowing fuel alone generates static, and if those charges need to arch to balance out you're gonna have a bad day m'kay?
Yo I have the same exact set up 05 k24a2 im looking to make 265hp i have a little more raceing parts tho bigger fuel system got the stock injectors stroked out but I'm excited to get it to the dyno

This is the way
That'd be dope as hell I'd love to see them around town
Driver to driver with Ben???
This would be a colab I’d watch
Make it happen STAT. Featuring on Hoonigan's autofocus and now on FI?!
yes.
You guys are going places! I feel like I’m watching a short film every week! Keep up the great work! 🔥
That's exactly how I feel the quality is top notch.
right brotha!
It was on point
You should take the old k motor and build a sweet street ca
You’re so right man I feel like it
“You just gotta do the driving part now” 😎 -Andy
the ending 100% gangsta
It's the most important part!
Andy should change his last name to Savage lmao
Especially because ben talked shit on the car multiple times in a youtube videos that over 100k people have seen, even though it was Ben's fault
What is the song?
“You just gotta do the driving part now” Savage
I sat on my back laughing after that one. Awesome footage as always
You could tell that Ben got nervous when Andy said "Why isn't it starting" LMAO
i am speed
Anybody else completely in love with both builds and all the track stuff they do? Honestly not just any other YT build/channel
Justa6 is all talking not enough driving
This is a very unique channel and it’s rare to come by.
A polished, track focused mighty car mods lol 😁 both channels are top notch imo.

"you gotta do the driving part now." 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gansta af
The production and edit is amazing
Andy is a genius and I’m amazed by his work and knowledge.
The background music / song at the beginning is BRASKO - Yo Quiero Sol. Would love to see you guys mentioned the music details.
Oh god! Send me your last engine 😱 It was such a nice build!
Had to see when the caption said K-swapping your civic again lol. Enjoy all the content
Fancy running into you here
Meep

I’ve not seen a beatdown like that since Undertaker threw Mankind off the top of Hell in a Cell in 1998
Technically, turbos are “bolt-ons”.
lol i guess but it’ll run like ass with no tune so not really a bolt on
There's literally not another channel that I watch every single video from, and I've been on TH-cam for over a decade. Great work guys, never disappointed.
Hope you get some frequent flier cheese, being in Wisconsin so often.

Andy with no chill at the end. Classic.
Well done with the progress on the cars this off-season. Hope to join you guys next year with my build.
I love the way you share so much progress in each video rather than dragging things on over dozens of videos
I'm about 10 minutes away from ASM. Let me know the next time you guys are in town so I can grace your video with my PT Cruiser!
The welds on that oil pan got me a little tingly inside 😈

Hey Gears and Gasoline team! Would you please compete in any 24 hour racing challenge like 24 hours of LeMons or something.
Up
Sbs is the best! I have a ported RRC that was done by him and made 13 more horsepower over the nonported RRC.
That intake shootout is really helpful to the community. Thanks Ben!!!!
It's so rad watching a guy from my hometown on a huge channel like this. Y'all are doing awesome!!
Love this channel. I waste time at work watching these every week 🙌🏽👏🏽
Nice na build! It shows hunting down the couple of hp here and there adds up.
Andy, I have to tell you brother. You have skills, and your workmanship is exquisite. Great job as always.
Elvis Lee makes the best hand ported intake on the market.
Nice shoutout to MN and SBS!
man is blasting his civic with money :))
Beautiful welds on the new manifold
Avid fan of your channel and your civic but thanks for the great tune at 2:44!
8:48 I love that edit.
Wow can we just appreciate how awesome it sounded with no intake...amazing...makes sense why some use ITB...awesome build Ben
That exit cut was the best ever lol.
I get so excited when I see a new Gears and Gas video. Favorite yt channel, hands down.

Not debatable

Andy: Mo powah babeh
Always gotta watch a fresh epi from the boys. That ending was hilarious.

Got on YT and immediately saw this. Almost broke my phone clicking it so fast 🤣
