Family culture in the Philippines is amazing.. in other countries if you're 18 it's up to you if you move out and do what you want to your life, in the Philippines, they value and help their families even if they already have a husband or wife. Strong Family bond made Filipinos more happier, and inspired to do their jobs everyday. Filipinos holds an annual Family Reunion where all the families from Cousins, second cousins, 3rd cousins , etc.. meets altogether.

Majority of the filipinos serve thier elderly even until they die. Those who send thier aged parents to Nursing Homes here in the Philippines is actually not normal. We serve our aged parents because they have given all thier best in raising us as kids. Now it's our time to serve our parents when they could no longer work for themselves. Thats filipino family we value high our parents.

I have the same values because of Christianity. God asks us to live for others. There we find true happiness. I am from Colombia. Blessings.

Hi, i think the cultural aspect of social life in the Philippines is more family oriented which is relatively based in Christian beliefs of the Filipinos that family is the most important thing entrusted by the LORD GOD to every person struggling in everyday life🙂🙂🙂

Family is everything. There's pros and cons on having strong family ties. They can be your strength and will always be there in happiness and bitter-sweet moments of your life. But they can be your weakness too. This is true, especially to the eldest children, the breadwinners. They need to take care of the family which could be financially and mentally exhausting sometimes. They have to give way to the young ones. It depends on the family though.

Looking & supporting our parents is not a culture it is a fruit of love to our parents..
It is not our obligation to do so, but it is it is voluntary gestures because of love and honouring them.
We Filipino believe in what the Bible say Ephesians 6:2-3 says, “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first command that has a promise with it- “Then everything will be well with you, and you will have a long life on the earth.”

Well, we don't send our elderly to homes. We help out our immediate family financially when we're able, we try to keep in touch with close relatives as much as we can...so yeah, family is everything here! BUT, it is also abused by parents and siblings especially in the provinces when a sibling is OBLIGED to send a younger sibling to school or support his/her parents financially when she geta a job, which is not fair, to be honest.

Itvisxexpecyed forFilipinos children who have already married to move out and live on their own. Those who remained single usually stay with their patents till who knows when. But in most caress, married children, especially the women , keep their patents to live with them.
