Thank you for your review, mine arrived this week before a ski trip and i was doubting about the battery life and heating but i think now it´s going to be a great POV cam
I switch denoising to 15%. It's much better especially with low light. Now picture is very natural and sharp. Yes noise is appears, but I can denoise by myself and much better, than poor denoiser of GoPro
Gopro 12 at night is terrible. I just did a walk-through in a park with Christmas lights and it is constant jitter and vibration because stabilization doesn’t work anymore . I thought I was getting nice footage and it’s all unusable.
Yep, it's horrendous at night, but to be fair, it's an action camera designed for action sports, which are usually daytime activities, so bad low light performance is something I was expecting
Could we see a video with the gopro on the evoque, but with the max lens mod 2 in max hyperview and in 4k60? that would be immensly helpful! I am trying to decide whether to get this or not, thanks!
I got a 12 with the lens mod 2.0. The most important thing to capture when skiing is the horizon and sky at the top and at least the tips of your skis on the bottom. Do you think the 8:7 w/b good for skiing, or should it be 16:9 to capture the panos?
It really depends where you want to share the footage. 8:7 will give you the most versatility to crop for vertical or horizontal. But with the max lens mod I'm pretty sure you would still see the tips of the ski's even in 16:9 The FOV is crazy with that thing.
@@JustinBainbridgeYT After I set it up and dug a little deeper, I came to realize the lens mod 2.0 only offers 16:9 or 4:3. I think you're right though - the FOV is so big that I'll be able to squeeze it all into the frame with 16:9. Thanks!
So I play airsoft, and I have one on my helmet POV and one on my gun pointing towards me, do you think it would look good with the 2.0? I Dont want everything to be distorted but I love the horizontal lock.
Yeah very true, can't really go wrong with either camera in my opinion. I haven't had chance to try the Action 4 yet, but I'm very happy with the Hero 12
@@JustinBainbridgeYT I use it on a hat cam when I do metal detecting.... Can I hook up an aux battery so that won't be an issue? Also what is the max file size before it starts a new one? And is that adjustable? thanks
@kensmetaldetectingfinds not sure on the file size, I haven't maxed it out yet and I've had some huuuge files. You can just plug it into a powerbank using the USB C port to keep it charging whilst you use it 😀 I sometimes remove the battery and use external power to save weight on my drones
The drone is an iFlight Nazgul Evoque V2. I have some other videos on my channel with this drone. And more to come with the GoPro! It just attaches using the go pro fingers onto a mount on the top of the drone 😁
Sold my 11, got the 12 purily for tge LOG feature, which only found it to be worthless as they capt it to 400 iso, way too underexposed, the HDR cant do flat and worsed of all 4:3 caps at 2.7k wereas the go pro 11 is 4k.. and all slow mo on 16:9 which is annoying, 4:3 and 8:7 is better... This year is a cash grabber fad, hopfully next year they will finally sortout low light issues! DJI sensor better last year and this year.. GO PRO! STOP SITTING ON YOUR HANDS!
maybe the gopro just doesn't suit your needs and is supposed to be used for other things such as action sports, im getting my camera soon, and from everything I have seen it should be amazing with the stabilization and wide pov

Very helpful thank you. I will buy one to accompany my existing GoPro Hero 11
Want! Definitely looks like a worthwhile upgrade from a GP7.

That's great news! It's a great little camera, I've been getting some really nice footage from it, hope you enjoy it! 😇

I think you would get quite a lot of distortion still as it's pretty close to your face unfortunately.
@@JustinBainbridgeYTfair enough thanks for the answer 👌🏻👍🏻
Nice job - good luck
Thank you!
Still torn. Dji action 4 is so good. 🤷♂️

Lmao I didn’t expect the little goat!
haha came for the Go Pro and stayed for the goat 🐐
Does it let you know when its battery gets low? I really hate it when you think you're recording, but you're not 😅
Nope not from my experience haha, just have to keep an eye on the symbol on the screen

Is maxlens mod 2 support GP 11?
Hi, no, just the normal max lens mod is supported on the 11
