The Commodore Barry Bridge is in Delaware COUNTY. I used to use it to get over to visit friends in Cherry Hill. It was closer to me than the Walt Whitman.
I worked at the Holiday Inn in the 80 s on 18 th & market st. And i cant find any vintage pics of it. It was so popular, and the Midtown resturant & bar next door. They were good times ❤❤❤
Love the beginning. When I worked at Wachovia Bank, I used to take regional rail in to Market Street and come up around City Hall. Good days, back when I had my own home out in Delco.
Nice tour, Captain. I love the Reading Terminal. It’s one the of the oldest markets in the country. I used to go there every day when I worked on 12th St. I can’t believe how deserted town is now. Very sad. The concourse was fun and really bustling back in the day (bars too!). Also sad to see the card store gone. It was there for many years and busy before 9:00 a.m.
We used to take the Trenton Line to SS and walk to catch the BSL at City Hall to get to concerts at the Spectrum. I didn't recognize the place at all until 7:36 when you said "Uh-oh". That's the dingy, spooky place I remember LOL.
Captain, i love your videos! Please keep up the good work. I'm originally a kenzo( I and Tioga) and now in sub burbs. I appreciate the rides through my old neighborhood you do. Be careful down there.
Have you ever done a video of the Logan's Square area? The Library, the cathederal, the Academy of Science, the Art School, and the Frankilin Institute?
Great video of historic Philadelphia in February.

"Vegan" is an old native american slur meaning "hunts poorly, or poor hunter". LOL

I've been Gipped! How did I get to Independence Hall from the Reading Terminal Market in less than 1 second!
