I would love to see more architecture. I remember loving to use Philly history app with Layar app which I would stand at one place and take a photo in the present and then see it in the past around 2010. Can’t find it anymore. 🇺🇸👍🏻Love watching all your videos of the city and then going to visit.
Nice vid! That first Finney & Sons spot is actually (DJ) Diplo's studio and he used to throw his block parties there before they got big. Yes do and architectural tour! Love Furness!
Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Brought back so much memories. Grew up in South Philly, but very familiar with the areas in your video. Went to Child school, Southwark, Thomas Jr in South Philly then went North Philly to Central HIgh. Left Philly after College and living in OC, southern Cal. Philly is looking good, super clean. Took the guy outa Philly but can’t take the Philly outa the guy. Much love for Philly.
So The Roundhouse is being demolished, such an awful building that was. I know that the police department doesn’t miss it and neither will most Philadelphians. I lived in Center City it was great. I spent alot of my days in that part of the city. I used to cut school a lot and that was back in 73 to 75. Center City was excellent to hang out in in those days before the Gallery.
Used to like Sansome street near 22nd a bar called Boehners Irish Pub. Pretty good place but it's been about a decade since I've been there. I guess Roosevelt's was at 23rd and Chestnut.
2:07 thats a emergency exit for the Broad Ridge Spur so if there were to be a fire or similar situation people can escape to the surface. you can also find those wherever the Broad St line is. Where this video started also features where the Spring Garden Station, which was open from the Broad Street Line's inception in 1932, until being closed to low ridership in 1989. It can be viewed to this day by riding the Broad Ridge Spur in either direction.
Yes please do a video on philly architecture!!! Also buzz around the neighborhood of 2nd/Girard. My company was hired to do a bunch of vacuum plumbing work in the now Acme...was a Superfresh. At the grand opening the mayor claimed it would envoke growth in the nighboorhood, I thought he were crazy. Anyway Id love to see how the neighborhood evolved.
Loved the new video captain, i would like to see a video of you scooting around south philly and around the stadiums and explaining history around the stadiums!
Thanks for touring that neighborhood. I haven't really walked around that area since I went to Masterman (1980-1985). I lived in Kensington (across from Mastbaum), so after school my friends and I would walk down 17th Street and go inside 1650 Arch, which had stairs or an escalator down to the concourse that goes to Broad Street where we would hop on the Market-Frankford El at 15th Street. Sometimes we would stop for pizza in the one restaurant in the concourse. Once the "new" Spring Garden station was built, we had the option of taking the 43 bus from 17th and Spring Garden down to the El just below 2nd Street; we usually chose that when the weather was bad. Or, I could even take the 5 bus from 3rd and Spring Garden to Frankford and Allegheny and save myself a few blocks of walking. Anyway, thanks for the scoot. I don't know how much you get into editing, but look at the 360 cameras that are out now. You won't have to worry about framing the shot while you're scooting - it captures everything, and you reframe it in editing.
1533 Green Street not sure if it’s a Frank Furnis building. But we moved a tenant out of there a few weeks ago and the steps leading into the building are falling apart and are unsafe. My guys and I nearly got injured because of them. I hope the owner sees this and does something about it. Owner of Point B Moving
I like the Philly history stuff myself.. Maybee go to site of 12 monkeys. Does goin up in 301 get your heights fear goin? I'd love to see you bring the glove to the game and try for a ball. haha thanks for the videos...

I think the office workers are so used to tele commuting now it's going to be very difficult to get them back into the office.
