Police officers first responders are a special kind of breed. They run towards danger. My heart goes out to them. I pray every one of them gets to go home.
Cops aren’t in the top 20 of most dangerous jobs in America. Power linemen, roofers, garbage truck workers and groundskeepers are much more likely to suffer fatal incidents on the job than cops. While in my state, police killing people are the second highest cause of murder, just behind spouse murder. Gang violence, robberies etc are less likely than being shot by the cops. I grew up outside of Philly. My grandmother lived in Manayunk and remember going in the early '60's to visit. Every day, people would be out front sweeping the sidewalks, picking up trash, washing windows or tending to window flower boxes. Fast forward to the early '70's. I didn't recognize the area. Trash every where, garbage everywhere, abandoned cars, my grandmothers house TRASHED as were MOST OF THE NEIGHBORS. I got threatened by some local thugs so I left. In the 1980's yuppies started moving in to downtown, buying up some of the (formerly) beautiful town homes. They fixed and painted and cleaned even installed cobblestone on the streets and refurbished the old light posts. And ALL I HEARD was "Whitey bees forcings us outs of our neighborhood cause we can't affords to live there no mores." CONVENIENTLY FORGETTING that in the 1950's and 1960's THEY moved in and started destroying the area. I could recount numerous other horror stories, but I already know I am being called racist. well said. All put their life on the line to help and save others. There will always be bad apples, does not make the whole Tree bad. In Europe there is often very little respect for first responders. I am from Philadelphia Pennsylvania and can tell you it was never like this in the 1970s and 1980s . We had our problems but this is way out of hand on how bad it is. It's sad . Mifflin and mole is near my grandmothers old house . It was a nice area at one time before the mid 1990s. 1:39
I have a lot of respect for them now. I had to humble myself...
The kids sell drugs all day, but gold chains and name brand sneakers and won't help their mothers with food money or help with rent. I left in 1990 and only went back for 2 funerals and it had gone so far down hill I felt physically ill.

They live in a fantasy.
I don’t think many have traveled to poorer nations.
I remember when i was younger we would settle with 1 on 1 fist fights and when we were done it was squashed and we moved on with our lives. Why can't it be like it was then.
When was that, back in the 60's?
Because my generation came along 90’s. Smh
Where drugs go, death follows.

..90's crack babies = fact
@john lenhart Sad ... where was this at?
Born a raised in South Philly but live in FL now. I loved Philly so much it is such a great city that is completely tarnished by the crime problem.
south philly is a different world from where i live. i was down there last week . its the nicest part i think. im from mayfair
People, If if you encounter an emergency vehicle with lights and/or sirens on, you need to yield and let them pass!! Smh
So they can get there and murder the unarmed civilian and erase the bodycam footage asap.
Awesome
you guys are amazing! second time iv watched this one. im from johannesburg south afica, another dangerous city. well done guys!
Born and raised in Philly 50’s thru 70’s the city isn’t what it used to be.
Good bellies the officers
Love the Philly accent on some of these guys, Wawa, Hoagie, Coffee, classics. Much respect to all the men and women in blue. On thing not mentioned is the salaries of these guys, Philly cops, compared to Jersey cops, make peanuts. Most patrol officers in Jersey make more than Lieutenants in Philly, and Philly cops are so much more risk. It's definitely not a job for everyone. They really love what they do and do it well. Follow these guys around on a hot Summer weekend, it will make your heads spin, no stop action.
You forgot wooder...lol
@@greggsmith8936. I was just thinking that when I rad this….wooder, and yous. Lol.
God protect 🙏 all men and women of the police force.
Thank you for your service stay safe blessings 🙏
Awesome that y’all still rock those beautiful Mp5
The cops are like a dog chasing its tail, the place looks like a living hell
Without Police they'll r*pe Matriarchy all day.
@@bluelivesmatter8502 what a world!
I live in this neighborhood but this isnt telling the whole story. At the same time yes it is a terrible neighborhood.
This is old because its worse now.
mediocre chiefs half fast training all,, instead of having strong ties with all our communitys they serve not GOverments quotas. then it all will end,, FYI...
Sorry I have to come all the way from PR to TELL you .. INNOcents are dying for yalls faliure to patrol an arrest..
Look at the mayor and district attorney
and you will see why philly is like this.
Always blame others, that's the solution...How about being part of the solution instead of the problem??
As a native of North Philadelphia, I am so happy I don't have to deal with the despair of living in an under resourced community anymore. The thought of having no future in sight is extremely depressing.
its the people not resources. accountability is needed not running away and saying dumb things like under resourced sshhht its under filled with good parents. the resources cant help a wicked culture!
Philly has a high crime rate for a large US city, but it's nowhere near the "most dangerous city in the world" (it's actually 46th).
Correct, It’s an over dramatization.
