Prefer Batman's villains WAY more....Batman Animated Series alone gave the rogue gallery so much humanity and sympathy to their characters with far more nuanced backstories and complications to their issues, stemming from various physical accidents and mental disorders where Batman has tried to approach most with the humanity they didn't have or lost. Spider-Man villains I love to watch fight etc, but I never felt compelled to care about most of them or see them much more than just the 2bit crooks most of them really are, save for a few. Oddly enough...my favorite villain roster besides Batman and Spider-Man and maybe Superman is Godzilla. Godzilla has a villain lineup that almost rivals the comic characters..
For me, it's Spider-Man's villains. I grew up loving/hating them. Batman's villains are great as well, but I am not that familiar with them, especially growing up as a kid knowing only the Sinister Six and other Spidey villains.
I personally prefer Batman villains. They're darker, often more complex, more plentiful, and more interestingly used, at least in the comics. Spidey's villains are great, and as fun as they are, Batsy's are simply more interesting.
Spider-Man villains have the power but not the responsibility that comes with it. Even though they gain their powers and abilities by accident you still have to understand that most of them willingly chose to go down a dark path. For example: When Electro got his powers in the comics the first thing he used it for was greed and to gain whatever he wants. He chose to be a villain through selfish needs of wealth. He could have chose to use his powers for good but instead he chose the life of a criminal.
Spiderman villains focuses to mess more with the physical damage, only some like green goblin or Mysteryo attack in the mental way. In the other hand, Batman's villains are not that strong but most of them are psychopaths which aim to break Batman's mental stability. (Some examples like joker, scarecrow, madhatter, vicktor zsazz, hugo strange, etc )
Batman's villains are the best representation of what's villains are. Maybe Watchmojo prefer Marvel characters over DC characters, but soon this is about to change. Trust me

I can say it is hard to really compare the villains when they are constantly being fleshed out and redefined on both sides. Comic Vulture was a bit two dimensional and uninteresting, but Homecoming made him far more human and compelling. King Shark alone has several wildly different iterations on the character (not a full 'Batman' villain, I know, but the most blatant and obvious example of how a villain can be completely different from one place to another). The only solid thing at this point in time is that Joker is the most iconic villain to a given hero of the two franchises, irregardless and has been for several decades. Lex Luthor to Superman being a close second.
Joker vs Green Goblin Penguin vs Kingpin Bane vs Rhino Riddler vs Alistair Smythe Scarecrow vs Mysterio Killer Croc vs Lizard Mr Freeze vs Doctor Octopus Clayface vs Sandman Catwoman vs Black Cat Harley Queen vs Hobgoblin

Redeemability should not be a category for determining a greatest villain. That is not a consideration that most people will even think of. Instead, they should have done a category for most dangerous or most well known
What it really boils down to is Bats' villains have more personality, Spidey's villains are more deadly. The reasons for both of these are the differences between Spider-Man and Batman. Spidey is always making jokes whilst Bats is very straight laced most of the time. So Batman becomes the straight man to his comedic villains. Spidey provides the comedy himself so needs less interesting foes. Meanwhile Spidey has superpowers, Bats doesn't so Spider-Mans villains can on average be more dangerous. Personally I think it's hard to choose which of them has the better villains but Spidey himself is definitely better than Batman!
I was thinking that myself. Spiderman and his villains are super powered so it’s in a way unfair to compare them. Spiderman is also a very colorful, funny hero and so are his villains (compared to Batman’s dark psychologically twisted rogues gallery).
One of the main reasons that Batman's Rogues can never work together; Joker! He's just too psycho to work with! There's a reason why the Legion of Doom chose Riddler over Joker to be a member.
The Top Best 10 Rogues Galleries IMO... 10. Avengers / Justice League (tie) 9. Daredevil 8. Green Lantern 7. Hulk 6. Flash 5. Fantastic 4 4. Superman 3. X-Men 2. Spider-Man 1. Batman
I don't agree with the result here. I think that Most people would genuinely lean towards Batman. batman's villians catalogue is based on people who are mentally F__ked up . I personally think given the chance they would break spiderman. People like joker and Scarecrow are trully two of the most cruel villians you'll ever see.

Both Batman and Spider-man have the most iconic villians. Although I would have to disagree with Spider-man winning the most redeemable as if you go back in history, Batman has redeemed several of his rogues gallery. Even at one time having Joker living a normal life, proving that even though some of them may not be redeemable, you can never stop trying.
No matter which sides we choose from with Batman and DC or Spider-Man and Marvel. Both of these companies let alone their late co-creators put within most of their rouges gallery they’ve done a hell of a great job keeping the Spider-Man along with Batman brands alive at best through backstories and progressional process through various forms of media believing in these comic book icons through the ups and downs.
@@Rck-vert I thought Jack meant stronger as in better. Which I would disagree even though I love Doc Ock. I think Doc is Spider-Man’s best while Joker is Batman’s. I’ve never really liked green goblin but when I see the word building of Gotham and the lore that extends what’s coming close to a century… it’s outstanding writing. I’d easily take Batman over all other superhero’s any-day. I also feel rocksteady really showed how great those characters and stories are to the general public.
The 2 things I love about Batman villians is: 1. They all test one aspect of Batman. Bane tests his strength, Riddler his intellect, Ras his skills, and Joker his moral code. Scarecrow tests his fear, Harvey his sense of justice, and so many things. All of these villians tests a part of Batman that makes him a richer character overall and really acts as foils for the themes that define Batman. Every major villian belongs and you can make an incredible story with them. 2. Alot of supervillians are villians because of the physical obstacle they are for the heroes. Some of them are just extremely strong and evil because and that can make for some boring antagonists. What I love about Batman villians is that in some way or form, they are more dangerous mentally than they are physically. The mental illnesses or warped philosophies make them the true threat rather than brute strength because very few can match Batman's physical prowess. Guys like The Joker, Two-Face, the Riddler, Mr.Freeze, etc all dont match Batman's strength however what makes them compelling is their backstory, mental psyche and their traumas.
Spiderman villains are not even close to Batman villains,Spiderman only has Green Goblin,Docter Octopus and Venom,Others are not very interesting, they just have cool and colorful designs, but their characterization is not very intersting, people are only fans of Green Goblin,Docter Octopus and Venom,I have never seen any fans of others, but I always see a lot people that are fans of Riddler,Bane,Scarecrow,Mr freeze and...... Joker vs. Green Goblin Penguin vs. Doc Ock Clayface vs. Sandman Bane vs. Venom The Riddler vs. Mysterio Killer Croc vs. Lizard Mr. Freeze vs. Electro Two-Face vs. Mister Negative
Personally I prefer Batman villains as they are the most realistic villains and their motivations are understandable. They damage Batman without any superpower or technology and they leave a great impact even after their deaths
Something is true... By them alone, Batman's rogue gallery is scarier and best than any, but when Spiderman's rogue gallery teamed up, it can be as bad ass as the Dark Knight's one... This is truly difficult because they are my two favorite superheroes, but I have to go with Batman just because when I played Arkham Asylum, it blows my mind to the point I started to read comics, even spiderman comics, and this was something even spiderman 2 on game cube didn't do.
🏆Marvel's Villians 4 da win!!!🏆 Honestly, when it comes to villians I like Marvel villians than DC ones. My Spidey Villians: 🌟Gobie 💚 🌟Venom 😈 🌟Doc Ock 🐙 🌟Mysterio 💛 🌟Vulture 🤍 🌟Kingpin 👑 DC Villians: 🌟Joker 💚💜 🌟Harley Quinn 🖤❤ 🌟Bane ☠ 🌟2 Face 💀
That does sound really cool. My only concern is that Batman and his villains are less superhuman, so Spider-Man would mop the floor with Batman’s rogues gallery. Batman would really struggle against guys like Venom and doctor octopus, not to mention carnage.
@Nickpetron once Batman learned of the symbote's weakness to sound it would be all over for Carnege. I think Spider-Man would have serious problems taking down Joker, Bane, or Ra's al Ghul.

Flashy as they may be, they don't outshine my love of how certain comics and the Animated Batman show & Batman Beyond gave more heart and character to those villains.
Fair criticism
I prefer Batman personally but even I have to admit that the sinister 6 is superior to others

spiderman better
@@barry2349 true this is a lie
they’re way more good
@@andrealagravinese6498 how old are you? 12?
Nahhhh
Got to admit. It’s a tough call. They both have evil villains.

Batman and Spider-Man are the unofficial patron saints of DC and Marvel respectively.
Batman the Goldenboy of DC and Spider-Man the Goldenboy of Marvel. Proud to be a fan of both😁😁😁

This will never be close. Batman by miles
Happy that, this video was made..
Iconic heroes and villians from both universe.🕷🦇
Spider-Man and Batman are literally my two favorite Hero’s of all time
What it really boils down to is Bats' villains have more personality, Spidey's villains are more deadly.
These two have the best rogues gallery in their respective universes. Probably the best rouges gallery in comics period to be honest.
nice to see that the comments are mostly civil and not bickering between 2 sides
One of the main reasons that Batman's Rogues can never work together; Joker! He's just too psycho to work with! There's a reason why the Legion of Doom chose Riddler over Joker to be a member.
The other members can still work together. Heck, some interpretations of Joker can work with others without (much) backstabbing and Joker gassing.
Joker still always butts in and ruins it.
And the other reason why the Joker ruins it is because he doesn't want to kill Batman. If Batman dies what's the punchline of doing crimes anymore?

Both Batman and Spider-man have the most iconic villians.

I’ve never really liked green goblin but when I see the word building of Gotham and the lore that extends what’s coming close to a century… it’s outstanding writing. I’d easily take Batman over all other superhero’s any-day. I also feel rocksteady really showed how great those characters and stories are to the general public.
@@devin_leary I meant stronger because most of them actually have powers. PHYSICALLY stronger.
The 2 things I love about Batman villians is:
Joker is better than every other spiderman villain but spidey generally has a more iconic and overall better gallery
