Green Goblin is the perfect arch nemesis for Spider-Man. He knows his strengths and weaknesses, and he knows how to drive a superhero mad till they seek out revenge. He’s like the Marvel version of The Joker.
After watching No Way Home, I realized how evil the Green Goblin truly is.
And worse reminded why he's Spider Man's greatest enemy, he literally has no redeeming qualities. In fact, in the comics, Norman deliberately chose to be the Goblin of his own violation cause of the power he got and his hatred for Spider Man.
Goblins speech about attacking the heart is spot on. When you go after people that the hero loves, it throws them off balance, they let their emotions cloud their judgement, and it also makes them vulnerable. Green Goblin is definitely a cold and calculating villain
As amazing doc ock is, he's not as cold as greenie
The speech fits the Green Goblin perfectly because of the fact that the villain is willing to attack Spider-Man on a more personal and psychological level.
Thats why he's the best Spiderman villian, cause he understands how to truly hurt people.

Actor Willem Dafoe did a terrific job playing Norman Osborn/Green Goblin.
We are so glad he returned and officially got a 2nd chance in ‘No Way Home.’

Willem Dafoe did an amazing job for portraying Norman Osborn/ the Green Goblin the way he did in the Spiderman movies.
Gwen Stacey's death was truly tragic. And I would've picked May Parker's demise in Spider-Man No Way Home.

I'm sure that landlord isn't going to forgive Norman powerbombing a minor through two floors. Dafoe said that he wouldn't come back unless he did his own stunts, so that was likely him grabbing Tom by the midsection and slamming him through those floors.

After watching No Way Home, I start realizing and understanding more of his character. I just think the evil side version of him got the better of him.

I'm surprised Norman framing Harry as the Green Goblin in Spectacular Spiderman didn't make the list. Norman even went and broke Harry's leg to cover his tracks.
I'm also surprised they didn't mention that mysterio illusion where gwen was cheating on spidey with norman.

Wilem Dafoe's Green Goblin has the same motivation as the Joker - pure insanity. Typically, a good villain has a really good and even logical motivation, such as Thanos' desire to "sustain" the universe by murdering half of all life in it.
The Death of Gwen Stacy is the #1 worse thing that the Green Goblin did was kill Gwen Stacy simply due to the fact that her death was the worst thing that ever happened to Peter Parker.
To be strictly accurate, I think it was confirmed when Aunt May returned that the baby is dead, and when he revealed that Osborn was certain he was about to win and wouldn't have bothered lying.
The only thing I think is truly missing from this list is his actions in 'Superior Spider-Man', when he took over the criminal underworld and nearly destroyed New York just because he was pissed that Octavius 'killed' Peter instead of him doing it.
Willem dafoe’s performance as the green goblin with and without the mask prove that even to this day, he scared me as a child, and still scares, which proves he is more menacing and terrifying and is the best marvel villian ever

Everytime I read the comics and it features the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus, I always feel the intensity and seriousness of these characters.

Killing Aunt May in NWH and turning the other villains away from being cured in NWH should've either been on this list or as honorable mentions

I can think of Green Goblin committing so much Atrocities to torment Spider-Man. He Attacked Aunt May and Mary Jane, killed Ben Reilly, Bonded with Carnage, Orchestrating The Clone Saga, Responsible for Peter's Parents being LMDs, and the list goes on.
Let's not forget he killed Flash Aka Agent Anti Venom in the comics and stabbed him in back while Flash was trying to save his friends i am glad Marvel brought him back stronger and better

What about actually killing Aunt May, having Harry turn against Peter, causing a fire that almost killed a baby.
So apparently Norman’s Goblin Persona was actually a demon of Mephisto possessing him.
There's no doubt that Green Goblin is Spider-Man's archenemy. And the worst thing he's done definitely was killing Gwen Stacy. That act changed Spider-Man for his whole life.

I thought Gwen Stacy’s death would be number 1 because not only did her death frightened and saddened Peter, but in an alternative universe, her death broke Peter, thus causing him to actually kill Norman and become the supervillain Goblin.

5:26 actually they were called Simulacra, and it was HARRY OSBORN, not Norman, who wanted to punish Spider-Man because at that time, Norman was believed to be dead and Harry accused Spider-Man of murdering him. So he wanted to return the favor by having him experienced that same loss plus one. And this connects to the later entry involving Gwen Stacy's kids.
Didn't Goblin also defile Gwen in the comics?

ASM2 had an alternate ending that revealed Peter's dad survived the plane crash. He would have talked to Peter and have given him the power and responsibility speech.
