I'm just going to say it; Goblin is what the Batman Who Laughs would actually be and not the edgelord mess we got
Facts
Amen.
“No no he has a point.” -Angel Kronk.
Damn. I could actually see that.
I already don't like the Batman Who Laughs, but now I dislike him even more since there was literally a way for them to do it in a cool way
Imagine Osborn tormenting Wayne in his civilian persona and then tormenting him in his superhero persona on top of that. They're the same person, but only one of them is truly insane. Could be a perfect contrast between the 2.
Ohh Absolutely. Would You Like To Make A Full What If Video Discussing What I Think This Scenario Would Be Like
@@LetsTalkComicsHQ YES.
@@LetsTalkComicsHQ Yeah
Also, when Norman supposedly dies. Harry would take over to become the new Goblin. His arch enemy would be Dick or the other Robins since they would parallel each other. Both were raised by rich dads, but with different ideals. Like Dick as new Batman and Harry as new Green Goblin which is like a war between Waynes and Osbornes for generation
@@fictionverse7292 Hit the nail on the head! I guess Norman would go after Alfred, cause Barbara to lose her legs, and even kill Jason once he finds out who Batman really is.
I like the idea that both Bruce and Norman know eachother's secret identity, and they both talk to eachother as people. Talking about why they do what they do and such.
I can see Goblin and Joker fighting each other as much as Batman and I’m there for it.
Goblin and Penguin more likely tbh.
But Given how Goblin fights. I could see him Ambushing Batman while he tries to solve a Joker case and then Batman gets sidetracked. And Joker gets pissy because of that.
Bruce chose the mantle of Batman to strike fear into his enemies. Goblins were created in storytelling to scare children into behaving. There would definitely be some thematic parallels there.
Add in the fact, they are both billionaires with questionable mental health and seemingly endless piles of money to pay for their themed equipment with and you could totally have the green goblin be the anti-Batman
(before anyone comes at me when I say Batman doesn’t have the best mental health I’m not saying he’s crazy. I’m saying that he has some issues, which could be fanatically parallel with the deranged green goblin)
This needs to be upvoted and highlighted.
Yeha green gobling is insane batman more suffers for many ptsd and other traumas that he neglect becose of his slef imposed duty for ghotan
I’d say Batman is 100% crazy. Instead of working through his trauma and coming to any form of acceptance Bruce’s whole crusade is a bid to bring control and order back into his life. Bruce grew up in a very controlled environment until that night in the alley shattered his sense of security and order because of the senselessness of the crime. Batman is Bruce’s attempt to force the world into making sense and being lawful and “fair”.
His dedication to the mission repeatedly causes rift between those closest to him. We’ve seen multiple instances of Bruce lying and hiding and scheming behind his friends and allies back because at the end of the day his mission means more to him than anything else. I think the best evidence we have for Bruce being a bit insane is the self imposed no kill rule. Batman doesn’t not kill out of some form of altruism he refuses to kill because once he crosses the line the dude literally doesn’t trust himself to be the judge of when he should or shouldn’t kill so to avoid that conflict he flat out just doesn’t let it happen.
@@jakubwiktor5874batman has idd it's the main conflict in the current batman arc
I bet the Joker and The Green Goblin would wage war against each other and both Batman and Gotham City would be caught in the middle of it all.
And it would start over something petty
Especially when you take into account that Goblin could use his intellect and resources to make more supervillains under his control. In Spectacular Spiderman Osborne does it by accident, at first.
Green Goblin is just “What If Batman was the Joker” done right.
As an example, when Joker shot Barbara he had no idea that she was Batgirl. The Green Goblin would have know exactly, that she is Batgirl.
The Green Goblin would've been the perfect anti-Batman due to how much they both have in common.
How
@patrickturk8957 Both being rich men who own their own companies, both use their money and wealth to create advanced weapons and suits, and both use said suits to strike fear in their enemies.
all of batmans rouges are a dark reflection of him, and having an evil billionare who dresses up as a goblin and terrifys people is as direct a comparison as ever
I still don’t know what firefly represents about Batman lol

@@r3dchocolat395 Don't forget about The Eraser!
He never admit it, but I think deep down Batman appreciates any villain that keeps up with a motif. He doesn't have to take alot of statements or pose as a sketch artist he just needs to look for a formal note clue or Penguins or a bunch of 2's everywhere.
And you never want to end like Nightowl, everyone else dressed in nice suits and you're the only one in Halloween costume.
But seriously, both Green Goblin and Norman Osborn would fit well in Batman's rogues. Insane enough for Gotham
The big problem with putting these two together is that the Green Goblin can actually throw hands with Spider-Man (even if he was holding back) and thus you would have to bring the Goblin down to a weaker level (Green Goblin straight up has no weaknesses, has as much money as Wayne, and is also very smart so a lower strength advantage would be needed for Batman to be able to out skill him)
Batmans got basic gear to deal with low level superhumans like Goblin, it's just basic electric gauntlets/knuckles, they're crazy powerful, like it's stated it can go to 50,000 volts at max (25 times more than a literal electric chair) and they're part of his basic equipment, he pulls them out often when facing aliens and such. It would pretty much be a very close match where both can one shot the other. Batman has tanked hits from Bane tho
@@phil3751 Bane (venom) is < Spider-Man (holding back), but I get your point and yes Batman could be able to takedown Green Goblin, he would just need to be able to keep up
@@alexgreer6336 You clearly don't understand how restraint works. Bane on average is probably around the same range of strength that Spidey uses on slightly enhanced guys. On Venom, he is probably on par with Gobby.
@@lightspeed7312 Still weaker than a lot of Spider-Man's rouges
@alexgreer6336 I disagree. Kraven, Chameleon, Vulture, and Fisk (I think he counts) are all just normal people. The venom symbiote is more of an anti-hero now. Carnage is EVERYONE'S enemy. Goblin is on par with Bane, possibly weaker, in fact. Doc Oct is nothing without those arms. Electro is a moron but definitely stronger.
Just thought of this the other day, but I think the Punisher would work EXTREMELY well in the DC universe, especially in Gotham.
Green goblin would be Batman best villain I had this thought before Joker wouldn’t be on Spider-Man radar he’d be like a chaotic Kingpin
Green Goblin would pose the threat that Deathstroke never poses I think deathstroke would be Spider-Man’s 2nd best because nobody could be better than Venom of course
Interesting Take
Also Bruce is usually younger than green goblin as normal is like 40s 50s Bruce is usually 30s or even 20s so he might have some sort of uncle like role
I think a full on 'what if' storyline video be amazing! Green Goblin to me be a perfect villain for Batman/Bruce. Norman can clash with Bruce on the business/public side while the Goblin on the criminal. While he does have his crazy side, the Goblin is a lot more goal driven to the Joker's usual random death and chaos. Goblin has no issues killing innocent people but its usually towards a scheme or collateral. The biggest evils Goblin commits is on the personal scale to his enemies, friends and family as Spider-Man has always endured. Despite Batman's work alone manners, having those closest harmed and targeted is to me is a weakness Goblin take full advantage of.
It would be an interesting dynamic given that only there masked figures would be polar opposite similar to Batman and the Joker while outside of their masks they would come from similar backgrounds.
Exactly
Batman:get spiderman on the phone
Alfred.
Honestly The Joker is not the villain I see butting heads Green Goblin. Lex Luther would probably get annoyed at Norman seeing him as a threat, but also beneath him. Like how Bakugou acts towards Midoriya in the first season of MHA.
I think the difference between joker and foblin is that goblin wouldn't be opposed to kill batman if necessary. So joker would have to fight goblin as he is a threat to his game with batman. I could honestly see at some point lex funding joker, riddler and other vilains who have a game with batman to take goblin down
Wouldn't Goblin's superstrength and durability be a big problem for Batman? Goblins is able to trade blows with spiderman who has superstrength and Batman doesn't. I know Bane is a thing, but it didn't seem like you accounted for Goblin's superhuman abilities.
He'd be scaled down to fit more with batman. I think goblin would work well with an already experienced batman, on his first years with the justice league as this batman would have the experience and resources to build a suit to face goblin. Maybe a prototype to the hellbat suit that allowed him to fight darkseid
Batman has a multitude of gadgets that outhax goblins and weapons that augment his strength like seismic gauntlets which would one shot goblin
@@Jakked-_-but if you allow Batman to augment himself you must allow Norman do the same which he absolutely would and could
Also forgetting Rhas Al ghul, Deatstroke and Solomon Grundy Batman could take Green Goblin.
@charliecantcap9170 No, because that's his base gear. He always has those gauntlets on him to fight stronger people because he's a "mere" human. Goblin doesn't have gadgets to augment himself on his base gear because he relies on his superhuman abilities.
Tomb stone and hammer head both could work as there mob bosses and have gimmics
Picture them meeting falcone?
They'll try to make a deal with falcone
Of getting rid of Batman an Spiderman.
He'd definitely be his most dangerous foe at the very least
Picture being a citizen of Gotham
And hearing someone laughing
An cackling flying on a glider?😱
Goblin is literally captain America plus joker and no one realizes this
This is why spiderman should have a cross over with batman
Late but, it already happened in Comics. Batman and Spiderman had to hunt down Carnage and the joker

Bro is basically fireflyjokerbane
also unlike most versions of the joker who wants the fun norman would move every recourse to find out who batman is and oh boy if the chaos if he finds out
Of course he is.
Hes basically the joker with a jetpack
and rich
@@Kur0hh Super strength
A lot of people are talking about Joker fighting Goblin, but imagine how he'd interact with Scarecrow since they both have a "spooky" theme. I can just imagine an interaction where Crane is working on his latest fear toxin and Osborn just waltzes in and goes, "yoink."
maybe Norman hires Crane as part of the villain's 'reformation', when in actuality he just paying the guy to cook up crazy new super chemicals
If Dr. Pig is a scary villain that's real green goblin would also fit
Bros basically a supervillan joker on a glider
If I were to use green goblin in a batman story I'd probably use a existing minor character from batman's universe to play him. I was thinking something like thomas elliott becoming the green globin. Given his backstory of him being Bruce's childhood friend, knowing him on a personal level and becoming a villain later on. He seems like the closest one to bring that personal level of hardship and vitriol like green globin does to spiderman.
Norman comes into contact with a new version of Venom that is being engineered by OsCorps.
I would like to see a video where the X-Men actually do exist in the DC universe. Someone pointed out in one of your videos.
I think it was the one where Spider-Man exist in the DCC universe. Where they say that the X-Men wouldn’t have a problem with mutant phobia, but I don’t think that would be true.
I believe the justice league would be more helpful to X-Men than the avengers were. I remember the comic JLA/Avengers where Superman confronts Captain America on why he has not tried a better the world, especially when it comes to the treatment against mutants.
Green Goblin as a Batman villain? Yeah I can see the Goblin as a villain for Batman.
Yessir
I like the idea behind these videos, although I am not sure I could see Green Goblin working in the Batman Universe without incorporating Harry in a very similar way to how he is incorporated into the Spider-Man Universe. Good stuff though
On that note, Noob Saibot from the Mortal Kombat universe would also make a great Batman villain.
He would probably HATE the Penguin. But also Bruce Wayne. He’d go after them a lot. Possibly learn Batman is Bruce(?)
I think Green Goblin would at least some experience with martial arts, due his battles with spider man. Meaning he has experience dealing with superhuman reflexes, which Batman has.
Either way, I would LOVE to hear the story ideas you might have for these two.
I would make Batmans Green Goblin the villainous alter-ego of Roland Daggett from the Batman Animated Series
I also think he should be a Ironman,Captain America and Thor villain because you could see some similarities
Such as?
Thor?
@@CupidSmurf657yeah because he based on a creature from mythology as Goblins are like elves and trolls while J.K Rowling made them stereotypes
what if Green goblin get upgrades from marvel and DC combining the goblin serum with the joker toxin bane venom Carnage symbiote doomsday virus and the sword used by Gore the god butcher the all black and multiple iron Man armors and the eye of agamotto and the Phoenix Force and stolen tech from Doctor Doom strong enough to take the power from every cosmic being and the DNA of every mutant and metahuman and every infinity stone in the multiverse including the ego gem Infinity Stones and the powers of every dimension that had a crossover with marvel and DC
Sweet Jesus That's fucking overkill!!
It’d be cool to do a what if Spectacular GreenGoblin was in Batman (2004)?
Your thumbnails are so good do you make them?
No I do Not But I Am going to Try To learn How To Make Them
@@LetsTalkComicsHQ who makes them?
@@LetsTalkComicsHQ I’ve been trying to learn too I can’t ever get anything to look good though
Got any ideas of potentially good Superman villains from outside of DC? I mean, sure there are evil Superman clones, but I was thinking more cosmic or time based villains.
Maybe that Alien Hunter from Ben 10 Omniverse or a Thor villain?
No. because the Goblin would kill Batman in the first night upon enqountering him.
Batman barely handles an insane clown man and a clay person that can't get near water.
What you are yapping about Clayface could mop the floop with Green Goblin . Clayface has no organs or blood so killing him would be impossible . Green Goblin has no real superpower's only tech and super strentgh.
What if/ I agree with you
Green Goblin is basically based on the Joker
Also, what DC hero do you think would fit perfectly within the marvel universe? do you think Batman or heck even Gotham can somehow fit alongside the marvel universe?
I got good what if, What if Static had Spider-man’s Rouges Gallery
Look I'm not saying green goblin is better then joker but green goblin is a upgrade of joker he's stronger and smarter then joker
cool video
Green Goblin is way too physically strong to be a Batman villain.
He's strength and speed is equal to Spiderman, and Spiderman is way stronger and faster than Captain America or any of the super soldiers.
I want to see how goblin and Lex Luther would interact.
Batman would struggle with Goblin for a little while but ultimately would win fairly easily. I think Batman is reasonably smarter than him and he has better gadgets in base than Green Goblin. He also regularly faces superhumans, metahumans, etc with relatively low difficulty so Goblin's physical stats wouldn't really be an issue also Batman has weapons that augment his strength such as seismic gauntlets which would one-shot Goblin. Overall Batman has better tech, better IQ and battle IQ while along with being able to handle the super strength, speed, etc of Goblin.
He'll need help from spiderman.
Crossover time.
Who would win on first encounter? Batman or Gobby?
But about this video, I think it interesting story let’s say in else world where green goblin does exist in the DC universe. We have a similar story to the death of Gwen Stacey but it’s the death of the Joker. Like you sent the video they would have conflict and I would think it be interesting to see if it ends. With the Joker, dropping him off of a bridge or building. Batman tries to save the Joker and then ends up accidentally killing the Joker.
It’s sort of a lose for joker because Batman finally gets to break his rule involving his death but it’s not due to the jokers plans. It’s due to a copycat.
Oh hell yes
it feels like you dont use scripts for your vids or if you do, they need a bit more structure
Dont wanna be rude tbh just a suggestion
Batman vs the green goblin what if
Batman would obliterate him
no he wouldn’t if Spider-Man struggles to beat Green Goblin then Batman would struggle even more
