Good video and good work. Funny cause I just did a similar thing. Your setup is much cleaner and now I'm gonna try that cord management . also does the battery bank ever lose charge with just with a cable plugged in? I read thats a thing on some of them.
Just to mention my setup. Used a thunderbolt 4 240w short flat ribbon down angle cable. overkill lol but I intend to try a usb c dock back there for more ports on the go. I used dual lock just in the middle of the vents which is like stronger velcro that lasts more then 2 uses lol. Its actually a little too strong and your setup seems clean and effortless. I positioned my battery like yours so can I use kickstand a lil and instead of laying flat it will lean at tablet drawing angle which is kinda useful lol. I actually put the dual lock in a big surface area of the battery and so I can adjust battery to whatever position/height I feel like. So far it all seems worth it but battery choice is really important too. I used the same iniu from that same amazon page but they sent the 65w version (same capacity) and weirdly it would only charge the lego when it was turned off first. It scared me from the brand so tried the ugreen 145w after. Its actually thinner but wider and still really close in weight for 90Wh. I was impressed by the 2nd port passthrough charging the legion go and then the battery bank charging from the LeGo charger at the same time. The weight pushes me away a little for longer sessions, so I've been thinking of gettting the anker prime 130w at 43Wh(half capacity). Smaller and lighter brick that I saw in a video juices up in a little over 35 minutes and barely suitable for the LeGo.
@@HandheldHorizon Yeah look for 3m dual lock and you can cut a 1 inch wide strip at 2.5 inch long maybe to stick in-between the vents from top to right before the kickstand. then you could stick like 2.5 inch by 3 inch of surface area on your battery bank if you feel like it. at that point it just presses in and holds like velcro and surface area for that might be overkill but its flexible for attaching it. Also yeah I'm interested in that anker cause nobody makes it that light/capacity. Baseus(cheapest when on a deal) make them kinda thin and light too. anker shows wattage and baseus can show volts and amps which is like the same thing. I'm thinking I can measure the power draw of the legion go if its fully charged so thats gonna be a must if I get another power bank now.
i usually stop for 1 hr to charge my lego with power bank when im out in the field. i usually have a 12 inch laptop bag thats where i put the power bank and lego. while charging and using it i just use 3feet usb c cable that way i wont be needing to clip the battery to lego
I'm a little confused by this setup. Why not just keep the battery bank separate and have a longer flexible usbc cable? I fail to see the ergonomics of adding the massive weight of a battery pack to a handheld...
@@MrFantasticMunchPersonally, I prefer having one consolidated handheld as opposed to 3 separate items which need to be carried around. Just my 2 cents
@@MrFantasticMunch I was concerned until I did it. It's not really noticeable for me and the kids. I use the 25,000ah battery strap right above the middle of the cranium. But different strokes for different folks
I actually like your video, music, script, pace, length, everything is good. I like your idea, I thought of this before as well but until I could resolve it with better engineering, I probably wouldn’t wanna do it. I rather put it down and charge it. I use an Anker 733, which is 2-in-1 65w from wall, 30w when unplugged. I already bring one thing less. Imagine your idea is to trim down the portable battery to a bit slimmer or use a slimmer profile version, then replace the Legion Go kickstand, even just adding 30WH will be comparable with the Ally X. No additional accessories, and still having an awesome kickstand 😉
Just put your 100w battery pack in your pocket or on the couch with a cord 🤔 easy money 😅plus the legion is big and it gets heavy no need for the extra weight 😊
i have the mini inui version of that the 100 watt i thought magnets werent good to put on electronics wont this mess with your fan and internals of legion go ?
How is getting a laptop at this point a better idea? Please explain. I was planning on getting a legion go, but now I'd like to hear your thoughts before doing so...
@@corsa4life603I had the same dilemma and then decided to buy the legion as i found it on sale. I recommend it 100%. Just the fact that it comes with a case shows how easier it is to take it on the go in comparison to a laptop. Plus u can actually make this thing ur main gaming station with an eGPU and a monitor. Oh and the detachable controllers are PERFECT as i usually use a dualsense and it just looks so damn clean without them. Hope this helps u decide.

@@DrFeeLzGooDx thanks! No issues with the battery drain when cable plugged in for me. This inui battery has been great so far, no issues at all

I just enjoy being able to join my family in same room not restricted to a pc or large laptop loving it 🎉
💯
Lol. It'll only weighs 1 ton. Also, devices can thermal throttle to reduce temperatures as well. Just put the battery next to you. That's what I do.
Its a smart idea but i mostly use my legion go at home so im always near a power outlet so its not an issues for me

Free from loose dangling cables. It's the same reason why I mount my battery pack on to the oculus and not have a long usb running to my pocket.
@@tykendrick800 that makes sense to me. although it the case of a vr headset, I would be even more annoyed by the extra weight sitting on my face.

I noticed there's a mini option for the power bank that has the same stats, i wonder if that would work as well and lighten up the weight a little
Would the mini version of the Iniu battery pack solve the stand problem?

Cool idea but doesnt the battery life only get extended by about 1h? In custom mode you drain anout 90 watts at peak Performance. So how does it work?

Really bad idea to block the intake vents.
also dident you iniu cable that came with it work for you i got a cable that came with my battrry seems to work fine to charge legion go
Cable that came with battery did not work reliably
What’s the maximum hours you played at performance mode with that battery
@@ben7301 with the battery attached I would say about 3 hrs maybe 3.5
That is with a big AAA game. Small indie game 6-9hrs
Thx für Info @@HandheldHorizon
doesent that also block the fans ?
My exact tought, theres good clearances so it shouldnt be too bad but batteries do generate a lot of heat so you will pre heat the air going in

Glad you think so!

i got a 130w 72000 mah for like 60

@HandheldHorizon But why the Ally X has double the battery lol
1) more expensive
2) smaller screen
3) 1080p
4) no detachable controllers or kickstand
@Ravage017 Don't do that, the pros on the Ally side are so long vs the cons its not worth my time. And not to mention just makes the Lego look worse
