It might actually be the reason I get rid of most of my devices, until strix point devices start getting released (looking at you ayaneo) Dual booting with bazzite is just :chefs-kiss:

I got a Legion Go at B.B. a couple of days ago for a good price (it was an open box, but in mint condition), so far I've been happy with it, I've been playing modded Skyrim on it and it's been fun. I also have a Z1 Extreme Ally (not the X) and a LCD Steamdeck. My big gripe with the Legion Go is the software, I have to fiddle with the resolution whenever I dock it to my TV, because certain games slow way down. But I love the detachable controllers. They just feel good in hand. It does suck that these things seem to have short lifespans though.
Awesome comment, thanks so much for sharing! Would you mind telling me which titles you're playing that slow down? Thanks again for your comment!
This is a really great question. I'd say if you need a handheld now, it's hard to go wrong since as I mentioned you could use it as a tablet later down the line when it's not capable of running the latest games. That said, though I have no actual information, I'm speculating that Lenovo will tease something new at CES (in January) and I'd expect a Go successor sometime in Spring or Summer, maybe even earlier if we're lucky. What do you plan to play on it?
@DS-pk4eh wowwwww. That is an AMAZING deal. Even if you don't swap put the internal drive, throw in a 1TB or 1.5TB microSD and have a grand old time! Thanks for sharing!
i like my legion go but lonovo seriously need to up their software support game. cause they way they are doing it right now with their radio silence is not make me keen to consider the next one.
Fair criticism. Whar with the sizes these companies are operating with, nobody would complain about more custom drivers closer to the release schedule and cycle of AMD.
My reason for not getting the legion go and picking up a steam deck instead is because my history with Lenovo has been quite terrible. I have purchase 3 Lenovo laptop devices over the last 15 years. All three of the laptops had a hardware failure within a year or two of ownership. My current ThinkPad laptop, which is from 2021, has already been serviced three times under the extended warranty plan. I baby my hardware, always putting it in a laptop sleeve, and yet hardware failures still abound for Lenovo products, regardless if it's a ThinkPad or a regular Lenovo laptop. Both have been bad for me. I have an HP laptop that has been reliable as hell, I picked it up in 2020 and it's still going strong. Wish I could say the same for Lenovo products.
@Agumon5 fair criticism. And I think your story actually illustrates the importance of long term hardware support and loyalty. Companies have a tendency to underplay these things for one reason or another but I personally think they're very mistaken on the importance of the customer experience and how that loyalty can carry over through the years. Thanks for your comment!
The Lenovo Legion Go has great qualities about it as a gaming handheld option in 2024. Let’s not forget the Lenovo Legion Go and watch this video 😎 Great video!
Your days are numbered LOL ROGAlly X is AWESOME and sounds incredible. You will definitely give in I’ve been enjoying my reg ROG Ally and can’t wait to get the X
Wait, why? Is Asus coming after me? Just kidding, The Ally is a great device, and for the price, it almost makes the X hard to justify too IMO, even though the X pretty much fixes anything/everything that was wrong with the OG Ally. Thanks for your comment!
I haven’t finished the video. I’ve barely started it. But the pricing comment inspired me to say than the current ~$500 price of the LLG is a no-brainer. Just as a tablet pc, that’s a fantastic price. The rest is gravy.
My issue is the poor software support that it... its almost as if the software devs do it in their spare time, that almost lenovo themselves have abandoned it but literally a few individuals... no matter how good the Legion Go 2 may be, it wont change the fact that the software support on that will also be poor aswell, Digital Foundry pointed this out aswell.
I can appreciate this criticism, thanks so much for the detailed response. Just to play devil's advocate though, if we went with a smaller vendor/OEM, we might be waiting forever (or never?) for an update?
@gamers-generation It's 500 on sale. The Ally X is $700. I would rather get the regular Ally Z1 extreme for 350 or 400. The 24Gb of ram kind of future proofs the ally x, though, at least a little bit.
Sorry I'm a little confused, do you mean LEGO? or Legion Go sites? The Lego games can be played or should be able to be played a highest settings since they're not very demanding.
If you've been following the rumors, there's a "lite" model that will fit that bill. Personally though, I like the detachable controllers as it makes this device more unique and versatile; no removable controllers to me just puts it into the same category as an AYANEO KUN, ONEXPLAYER X1 mini, and ONEXPLAYER 1S.
@gadofegaas7424 fair concern. If I'm not mistaken you can reach out to Lenovo and they'll RMA the controllers for you, but that's 100% not ideal, what if you somehow lose them or something? Thanks for your comment!
@juancardona2213 I mean... is it a problem? Yes, but I haven't heard any issues with RMA and Lenovo (knock on wood), also it doesn't break functionality if you don't have the controllers, meaning you can attach other controllers like a gamesir controller, is that weird and jank? Sure, but it still works.
I wouldn't say trash, but I'd say "par for the course" as in, it's pretty much in line with most other handhelds in this generation. If They can deliver with an 80Wh similar to the Ally X (and supposedly Claw AI 8), then there's little to nothing to complain about left I'd say!
Fair criticism, though I'd argue other than having speakers in the controllers, there's no other place to put the controllers on the (mostly) bezel-less design.
I don’t like legion go. It is too big to be a handheld, too small to be a laptop. If they put a bigger battery it is only getting even heavier. The detachable controllers are completely unnecessary imo. Because not much you can really do with them in real world applications. The screen has a resolution not usable for more than half the games on this thing. No need go that high at all. They should put 1080p vrr panel like Ally did. Legion go is a device wanted to be everything but fail to be anything.
That's your opinion but you're not looking at the benefits of removable controllers . You don't always have always hold it to play , you can rotate the screen and use it as a tablet with a stylus , you still have a built in mouse pad and scroll wheel , the 1600p resolution works great for plugging into a monitor , or for watching videos and movies on the legion go but you can always drop it to 1080p your not forced to stay at 1600p ,built in kick stand, fps mode for games that lack controller support ,larger screen . It literally does everything the rog ally can with more versatility .
@@kdubspencer3390 Yea, not sure why he painted the resolution as a negative. You have the choice to change the resolution, you do not for the ally. More choices is generally better.
@@jnoirj3124 Its bad thing to have 1600p because if you use fullhd resolution on 2k monitör, it will be more bullry than original fullhd monitör. Because of that 1600p is negative thing for legion go sir

If the legion go is at let’s say $500 should I get it now or wait for the legion go two?
This is a really great question. I'd say if you need a handheld now, it's hard to go wrong since as I mentioned you could use it as a tablet later down the line when it's not capable of running the latest games. That said, though I have no actual information, I'm speculating that Lenovo will tease something new at CES (in January) and I'd expect a Go successor sometime in Spring or Summer, maybe even earlier if we're lucky.
What do you plan to play on it?
@ yes I was thinking about that, I was also thinking about building a desktop pc
I really like the device but why the hell it cost 800€ -512gb in italy and ally x- 1tb cost 900€ 😭
Ugh, sorry to hear. Know anyone in the US that can ship it to you? There have been crazy sales for it recently!
Hopefully, when Black Friday sales start, I will buy it.

i guess you have not tried a one xplayer x1
You're guessing correctly. I know enough people with that device... do you like it?
I got Lenovo Go 512Gb version for 499 bucks. Not sure if that was a good price. WHat you think?
I sold my legion to for an ally x. The legion go sucks because of the battery.
Hey, you do you! How do you like it?
@@gamers-generation I think it’s perfect. The legion go was everything but a good battery. A great choice to upgrade
@@Greeshercan u use the ally x for watching show?
So long as you're buying games for _any_ of the handheld PC's and not downgraded ports for Switch 1 or 2, that's all that matters. 😉
I wish I could love your comment more. Thanks so much for sharing!
Might get one
Let me know what you think! Thanks again for your comments and support!
Bought a used legion go 1tb for $400. Seems reasonable.
Congratulations friend. You just committed highway robbery.

@@HandleNiPong no just sold ROG Ally for $500 and paid $300 for an improved AWESOME gaming PC . Competition is good for all of us .
Wait, why? Is Asus coming after me? Just kidding, The Ally is a great device, and for the price, it almost makes the X hard to justify too IMO, even though the X pretty much fixes anything/everything that was wrong with the OG Ally. Thanks for your comment!
best buy will take trade ins also so you can dump your steam deck people
Sage advice, thanks for the comment and sorry for the late reply!

@NotGoodAtRaving Would you prefer "giggle gigglebytes?" KEK

Subbing for all of the Kpop inserts, the video wasn’t too bad either 😆
You're too kind, and I always love a good kpop stan, thanks for your sub and support!
I haven’t finished the video. I’ve barely started it.
But the pricing comment inspired me to say than the current ~$500 price of the LLG is a no-brainer.
Just as a tablet pc, that’s a fantastic price. The rest is gravy.
Thanks for saying that! We're 1000% on the same page! Thanks for your comment~
I sold my lego its just too big and heavy in the long term snd battery and legion space just sucks.waiting for my ally x

Poor person? The Legion Go was $750
You're right, but today it's $500! And, the ROG Ally X at time of filming was $799, but it's also on sale now too!
@gamers-generation It's 500 on sale. The Ally X is $700. I would rather get the regular Ally Z1 extreme for 350 or 400. The 24Gb of ram kind of future proofs the ally x, though, at least a little bit.
@@LuisPerez-5 Fair points I agree with all around! Thanks for your comments!

AYYYY!!! Sorry for the late response. DJ Hyo fan in the house!!!
All the Lgo sites I'm on they all say low settings, to play game, AA Games very low settings, so why. I know play little nitendo games full spec
Sorry I'm a little confused, do you mean LEGO? or Legion Go sites? The Lego games can be played or should be able to be played a highest settings since they're not very demanding.
I hope the next legion Go doesn't have detachable controllers. Just think personally that they're unnecessary
Legion go don't even got the controllers in the market of you break a controller your done
@gadofegaas7424 fair concern. If I'm not mistaken you can reach out to Lenovo and they'll RMA the controllers for you, but that's 100% not ideal, what if you somehow lose them or something? Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for sharing!
That's such a dealbreaker! @@gamers-generation
Im waiting for the seconds Legion Go. The battery of this current one is just complete trash.
I wouldn't say trash, but I'd say "par for the course" as in, it's pretty much in line with most other handhelds in this generation. If They can deliver with an 80Wh similar to the Ally X (and supposedly Claw AI 8), then there's little to nothing to complain about left I'd say!
The Go speakers are awful.
Word!!
@gangwu4541 what's great is the different options for handhelds now. Because of the numerous 7" devices, you don't even need to worry about the Go if it doesn't fit your lifestyle. Thanks for sharing!
Legion go performs worse in every game. No vrr makes everything stuttery. Less than half the battery life. Not very color accurate screen.
Not to be that guy, but do you have the data to support those claims? Because on paper and from what I have gathered from other creators, your statements about performance and battery aren't exactly correct.
@deathshade777 the "Lies" that comes out of your brain lol, legion go is the best, runs any game well, you just have to tinker, if your not a tinkerer then go play on a console lol
