      @WinDeckTech Yesterday I installed Win 11 ghost spectre, today I run GTAV Natural Vision Evolved together with Lossless Scaling: impressive device!
      Now I'm changing the AMD driver and try to find Lossless Scaling 3.0 bc steam won't offering the update for me.
      The screen is beautiful, the controllers fit perfectly into my hands.

      Awesome!!! I have been replaying GTAV as well haha, even though I’m sure it will be a few years before we see a pc release lol.
      Glad you’ve been enjoying it.
      Check out comfort grips on Etsy for the high quality 3d print grips I showcased as well the tpu case I have from Amazon is good. Both of them increase comfort massively in my opinion

    Personally I don't mind the smaller screen on the Ally X. If the GO'2 goes OLED or VRR, bigger battery, improves the speaker, better heat dissipation, and make improves their software I will get it.

    • @WinDeckTech
      @WinDeckTech  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Looks like some of that is going to be true! OLED Landscape AND VRR
      Edit: I do hope that we see full sized drives, better USB4 support and software upgrades though

      every single one of those appears to be the case! (apart from potentially the speakers, as people havent been able to properly test them yet)

      Yes that will be the big IF factor. Even if they keep bottom/top firing design, they can make them better.
      Testing the G Cloud right now with bottom firing and it is streets ahead the Legion

    Good to give a face to your voice 😎 I would soo thankful if you would make a tutorial on how to plug Egpus on Bazzite. Specially the XG-mobile to the Rog Ally. But anything at all would be great as I plan to buy eventually an Egpu for my Legion Go😊 I cannot find anything clear and easy to follow about egpus on steamOs. The possibility to have a reliable sleep mode while being plugged to an Egpu would be so amazing.

      @WinDeckTech  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      From my experience egpu and sleep with SteamOS(bazz) isn’t that awesome. But for sure I will do a guide/full Bazzite review on the Go.

      @@WinDeckTech yeah! I'm Dualbooting Windows/Bazzite both my Legion Go and Rog Ally and I don't remember the last time I used my Windows partition 😂 I basically leave one of both devices permanently on Sleep mode almost like a tablet or a Smartphone and can start immediately my games. Did you manage to solve the issue on the Rog Ally with it not going to sleep when battery is very low or sometimes when I waking the Cpu clock is stuck to 540mhz until plug and unplug the power? Sorry, long comment 😅

      @@WinDeckTech oh that is disappointing 😪 that is the only thing that I miss from my PlayStation. Sometimes family calls and I need to leave the computer running if I want to keep playing. If I hibernate my Rog X13 or my Rog Ally with the XG-mobile connected and leave for a while, when I wake it up, sometimes works but most times crashes the game I would be playing. So hibernate is also not a good option with windows +Egpu😪

    Bro what do You Recommend me
    Buying the legion go or wait for legion go 2
    I only need it to play old games and emulators
    Legion go 1 has 2560x1600p resolution and the legion go will came with 1920x1200p
    I prefer the resolution will it’s be noticed or no in the games

    I got mine a week ago. Found a nice open box deal. The first 48 hours were pretty crap ngl. Had problems with the grip, the software, the gyro. I was really sad and thought I'd be returning it for sure. But by the 3rd day everything clicked, and I couldn't be happier.
    By the way, something that no reviewer seems to be mentioning is the streaming potential. I'm streaming games with the cheaper tier of GFN at 1600p 60 FPS. The battery lasts hours this way, and the picture is incredible!

    • @WinDeckTech
      @WinDeckTech  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      So glad you were able to get it all sorted!
      And yes game streaming is definitely underrated.
      I just released a vid regarding the Logitech g cloud (sponsored) but I did thoroughly enjoy my time with it and did experiment heavily with game streaming on the ROG ally and Lego.
      I found that yes you can absolutely get a better picture (and 120fps)and sip battery, you won’t be getting all day life doing this but much better than the hour or so going full tilt.
      I sent my personal feedback to Logitech asking very nicely for a potential 120hz option so they can compete with other handhelds because other than better battery, I’d still be rather streaming to my legion at 1600 (locally from a 4090) or ally

    I have a real nice touch screen 4K OLED monitor that I have used with my Samsung phone, my intel laptop, and the Legion Go. The AMD toggles for a second screen is by far the best. Any content looks best with the Go, BUT.. I can't use the touch screen because of Lenovo software getting in the way, which really sucks. The on board toggles on the monitor is actually pretty powerful, so I tend to use it with my phone more than the Go. I just wish it all synched with the Go, because I got that monitor POPPING on that device. I want to uninstall everything Lenovo and just have Windows because Lenovo is in the way. I wonder if it can be done?

    I have a much more powerful laptop than this toy, but I haven't played anything this immersive in years. Since I got the Legion, I've enjoyed a lot of games, especially when combined with lossless scaling, it's brilliant. I can't wait for the 2nd generation to come out. At first it's a headache if you're not very good at software, but if you're patient you'll learn a lot and in the end I can say it's totally worth it

    VRR is useless.
    Set Radeon Chill to 36 or 48 fps on both minimun and maximum.
    You'll have stable fps without screen tearing since it's a multiple of 144hz, it will reduce heat and battery consumption.
    And use Lossless scaling or AFMF2 with the latest AMD Radeon (TM) Graphics driver to double your fps, not the 780M.

    Somehow you look nothing like how I thought you'd look, and also exactly how I thought you'd look. It doesn't make any sense, and I don't get why my brain has done this 😂
    That aside, glad you're back. Have you looked into the Gpd Win Mini 2025 at all? I'm also in Canada, and even though I have a handful of other handhelds, I really want a small clamshell one, but not interested in one with the same chips I already have available via the Ally and GPD Win 4... I know it'll be expensive as hell, and I should sell the ones I don't really use anymore, but I'm not good at getting rid of things because I always think "what if something comes out that makes this device way better!" Dumb stuff like that. Also having to sell it for way less than I got it. I get that that's reality, but I can't overcome the sunk cost fallacy to do it.
    Sorry for the rambling. Great video, even though I have zero interest in a GO, I just enjoy your style of reviews

      Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated! Truly made me smile, thanks again!
      Re; your first point, looking nothing like and exactly how you thought I’d look. I call it generic bearded white guy syndrome, lol.
      Seriously though, the GPD Win Mini refresh looks pretty fantastic. Having had the 2023 version (for oculink) it was a nice device but as I’m sure you know, it got stupid hot. Even when targeting 15w tdp. With cpu boost off.
      I tried things out on Bazzite and while the win mini is officially supported, there was too many little things getting in the way.
      The speakers went to effectively useless unless at 75% or more. But, temps were a lot more reasonable.
      After watching Phawx’s deep dive on the new gen it seems like a lot of the main gripes have been fixed.
      I too am a lover of clamshells and want the bigger players to start exploring them.
      I personally sold my win mini due to the heat constraints. But I never used the grip add on because I didn’t like the idea of having to screw them on and off, the new version fixed this with a one piece snap on option.
      Personally I would wait just a little bit longer.
      We do have the OneX G1 pre orders going up tomorrow. You can get 8840u intel 2nd gen and the ai hx flavours.
      While I don’t know their tdp targets the device itself looks interesting and a bit of “best of both worlds” with the detachable keyboard and touch screen thing going on.
      Personally, I own the Ayaneo Flip DS as that was my dream handheld, the win mini was a stop gap and then I found the flip.
      While it’s not a perfect device it is better than the win mini imo for heat alone. It can handle the full 28w and has a good controller grip. The only complaint I have for that is the right stick location for shooters or even playing games like God of War where you need to turn the camera quickly and often. This does limit me on what types of games I play now, but I personally got it for being the all in one emulator station.
      Seeing as you have a Gpd already, you’d be familiar with their “quirks” and motion assistant.
      One x has the worst software imo out of the Chinese mfgs
      Ayaneo has the absolute best out of the three with ayaspace 2.
      In launcher driver updates inc amd etc.
      I do not know if Ayaneo is planning on continuing the flip line, I hope so, but it seems to be scarce.
      I can totally relate to not wanting to dump devices even though you don’t touch them haha.. it’s a terrible disease.
      Now…. Keeping all of this in mind… if I were to buy one and only one handheld I probably would not be getting a Gpd,aya or one x etc because of the low costs of current gen handhelds. I wanted a one x mini or something similar, but for over double what I paid for a used legion go? I don’t think so…
      I hope my ramblings back helped at all!!! Let me know if you have any questions, but definitely hold off on purchasing anything just yet I think, unless you really really like what the new win mini is offering. There’s more to come this year it’s only January!

    Personally, I disliked the legion go. The portrait screen doesn't play nice with some games, and i had a hard time appreciating the screen when you drop the resolution lower to play most games at a good framerate. To me, it looked blurry anything below the native resolution, and i could never get the framrate lock working.

      The legion go s with z1 may be something you’re after tbh. I have the go s zgo currently and it is greatly improved (plus vrr native landscape) and 1200 p so the res drop isn’t as bad

      @WinDeckTech  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’m going to try and do the elite d pad mod.
      Even with Atmos or other software it’s still disappointingly low and unclear in my opinion.
      Mind you my hearing isn’t the greatest but it’s the only handheld I have an issue with personally for audio. Hoping to see some upgraded audio in the next gen
