Check out SW On The Rocks. It’s a nice light gray that we love. We are in the process of painting ourselves and we’ve chosen (after MANY paint swatches on several rooms throughout the house) the Sherwin Williams colors ‘On The Rocks’ for our gray and ‘Tradewind’ for our beautiful soft blue. It’s stunning! Good luck!😍
congratulations 🎉 to u and Josh on the new house 🏡. I was so shocked to see how easy the trim came off. I had to take my trim off (which is wood) in my hall and the wall crumbled and I was left with half a wall lol. The trim is pretty much standard in the houses were I live which has it's good and bad points. The grey colour on the top left (the lightest one) looks nice and the one below, I'm sure it's the ones u said 😆. Anyway I'm gonna stop rambling and I can't wait to follow u on this new wonderful adventure. May u both have luck and make many happy memories. much ❤️from 🏴 UK.x

Yes! After all the work is done, have someone come clean the ducts, the dryer vents and the chimney. I would also highly recommend having the septic inspected and pumped (if needed) before you decide on anything outside. Then you’ll know it’s good and you’ll know where you can’t plant, or put your greenhouse and Josh will know where he needs to be more careful with the tractor (don’t park on top of it). You may also want to treat yourself to a professional cleaning company to come and do a top to bottom cleaning on the whole place. Then you will have an easier time keeping up with it going forward. Obviously we all love spending another person’s money😊 we just all want the best for you, Josh, Orbit and Tibro💕
It won't take weeks to just go through and replace all the outlets/switches/and covers yourselves. Skip the electrician, save money, and do that yourself. Each one probably takes less than 2 minutes a piece. Easy.
Agree!!! Even easier, for my mom's house, I found white switch plates that covered all the yellowish switches. Super easy and a ton cheaper even though my dad would have changed them all for free.
It seems remarkable to me how Josh pushes his limits of not liking to be in front of the camera. You could not take us along on this journey without him agreeing to do so. Thank you for being so open and refreshing. I was never too interested in gardening but I follow you because of the cooking, especially the freezer cooking. And I'm looking forward to you developing this beautiful house into your personal home. Becky, you are always a fresh breeze, but seeing you giddy for joy warms my heart and is so enjoyable.
My husband and I redid his dad's old trailer when we first lived together. We rented in town and the trailer was out in the country. I did exactly what you said about the crock pot. I made chili, beans and rice and we had bowls and crackers there. We would just eat off it all day as we worked. I also brought a coffee pot because we would work late into the night sometimes during the week to get it all done. It really is the project that made us fall in love with each other and discover what a great team we are! This reminds me of that, even though you guys have been together for awhile, it is so much fun to remissness about those days and kinda re fall in love with each other! I'm beyond happy [Maybe a little jealous!] of you guys and know you will do wonderful things with your new house!! You deserve all the great things that are happening to you Becky!!
Just a helpful tip - make sure you have all of your lighting finished before you decide which paint you are going with! its easy to get new lightbulbs but a pain in the butt to paint again
Just a suggestion I’ve learned. Green in the bathroom is generally not recommended as when you get up in the morning and it reflects in the bathroom mirror, it has a tendency to discolour our reflection. Green is recommended for bedrooms as it’s a good sleeping, soothing colour. At the end of the day, it’s your choice what colour you want to put where…just thought I would share.
Security tip: When you take the exterior doors off the hinges use longer screws when you replace the hinges and lock plates (like 3 inch screws where you can). It will make it harder to kick in the door (and is an inexpensive upgrade). Easy move is to bring any camping/picnicking stuff to the new house, while you are working on it - but before you are ready to move the existing actual kitchen stuff
Someone kicked the back door of my home to try to rob me while I was at work midday. The security system panel was not visible there. The alarm went off, the robber went to my bedroom and looked at the jewelry box on the top of my dresser, but found only junk jewelry and left before the police arrived. I was advised at that time to use longer screws and have done so every time I bought a new exterior door.
@@gloriadurelli4923 I came across this tip back in the 1980's when my Dad was looking to beefing up our home security. He found that this was the first thing drug dealers did when they set up a crack house. He did not trust the alarm companies because of the problems they had had with alarms he had had to install on his business (for insurance purposes). His theory was if it will slow down competing gangs selling and stealing drugs from each other, and the police, than it was good enough for us.
Just a suggestion…. Consider DAYLIGHT lighting (LED) in your kitchen. It’s like sunlight every time you turn it on. I had it installed in my kitchen a few years ago and it has improved the atmosphere tremendously! My builder said I’d likely regret it being SO light but he was wrong and now he tells me it’s becoming quite popular. 🎉. It’ll change the way your eyes perceive paint color as well so you might change it out before choosing paint color. So happy for y’all!
I prefer daylight as well myself. The warm white light looks very yellow and can appear cheap and dingy and aged. I've been told i would regret it as well, and years in its been the opposite.
Yes!! We went with all daylight lighting and we also added TONS of can lights in our house with daylight LED lights. My father in law said we could perform autopsies in my kitchen on the island with all the lights we added 🤣
Rule of thumb: if the room needs to be cozy (living, bedroom etc) you want a warmer toned light. If you need to see what you are doing (especially if you need to see colour, like applying makeup, doing crafts or cooking) you go with a cooler toned light.
It is so nice to meet your husband, Joshua. I am relatively new to your channel. I started viewing your cooking videos and simply adore you. I'm almost 69 years of age and wanted all my life to be in your situation. Therefore, I'm living vicariously through your endeavors. May you and Joshua continue to have a charmed life. God bless you both.❤
I have no idea how you've both managed this while still uploading, and Josh having a full-time job (Even with a week off). You remain an inspiration, Becky. Also both your families rock. Best of wishes for your new home.
First of all congratulations to a wonderful house! Since you are painting all the walls and you are replacing all the trim, do yourself a huge favor. Paint the walls first while you only have to cut in the ceiling. Paint the trim one time while uncut and unmounted. Then do the trim work and caulk. Finally do the second trim coat for touch up. It will save you a ton of time and energy. Also, I had giving me when you talked about changing all the switches and outlets to white - have totally fine that in all the houses I've owned 😀
Hi Becky, I am so glad for you snd Josh. It would be a good idea to have an interior designer to help you choose the colors in your new home that way you don’t have to guess what color you want and you won’t waste your time. Green in the bathroom can make the room seem smaller. The dark colored wall at the entrance of the house, unfortunately is an eye sore. You have such a beautiful view to the garden when you enter the front door and it is blocking the view. Blessings for you and Josh.
Don't forget that if you find something with the color you like that Sherwin-Williams can match the color and it does not have to be a SW color! So excited to soo the transformation!! You can also try Agreeable Gray as it is a greige color. Also, beware that paint is in short supply so don't wait too long to let your local store know how much you need so that it can be ordered as it may take a bit for it to come in. This is advice given through my son who is a store manager for SW. The shortage is not as bad as it was in 2020, but they still have not gotten production back up to where it was before then.
@Barbara Moss they removed the doors because they plan to repaint them and make sure they hinges match. The old hinges were gold and door handles were silver.
You forget, Tammy, this is Becky we're talking about. She can't remember to label her canned jars, and you want her to remember to label the doors? LOL Though, Josh might be better at that.
Just looked at Sherwin Williams website and the colors “Worldly Grey” and “Alpaca” are two shades of grey that appear to go well with brown wood floors. As someone else mentioned before, be sure that your lighting is set up with appropriate bulbs and both open and shaded windows so that you see the variations of what one color can look like from room to room before actually painting.❤️
For gray paint, something a few shades lighter would be really nice with all the light, so maybe another round of swatches in the lighter shades :) Help it bounce around and fill the space more than those darker options. I like the warmer grays you were swatching!
Your new home is beautiful! Painting the walls before you put the trim on makes painting so much easier! You probably already know that! I vote for Josh's shop in the 3rd garage bay, looks bigger.
becky, i am SO happy for you. really, truly, you deserve this new beginning and i'm so glad this is a dream you and josh are able to achieve ❤ (p.s: finding out josh was a drummer in the last video was, like, finding out about the coolest alter ego ever! works in IT by day, drummer by night lol)
Lighter paint=makes rooms look larger, brighter. I have your color of wood floors and used an almost white to make a little more farmhouse look, and use color in my decor. (Christmas/etc) I adore your new home and cant wait to ride along this exciting journey!!!
I totally agree with you Becky! Like Jess from Roots and Refuge says, “Turn your waiting to him into a classroom”. Often times our goals and dreams take time, but what we can do in the meantime is learn all we can about it, so that when our blessings finally arrive, we are ready to receive them. So happy for you guys! ❤️🌿❤️
I love this. I needed to hear it today. Our marriage has been reconciled by the Lord and we are now, (4 kiddos in and 2 decades together) trying to pay off some debts and save for a down-payment on our first ever home. (We want a homestead too.) Waiting is so difficult and challenging, but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
@@susanmartin870 That is great to hear Susan! In life there are seasons of sowing and seasons of harvest. Keep on planting and watering and soon enough your wishes will come true, in God’s name. ❤️
I just quoted Jess in the comments on the first home tour video! I just love both of these ladies. They are young enough to be my kids, but I want to be them when I grow up.
Now in my 60's, I remember doing all this work in my 30's and 40's. You are so wise to do it now. Won't get any easier and less fun. So pleased for you both, your journey and videos are just a joy. Maybe you can get someone on marketplace who will take the trim?
Regarding paint I’m looking at similar Gray/taupe colors as you (my husband thinks I’m crazy regarding the tones of gray) Here are the paint swatches I’m looking at. Behr: Rustic Taupe, Silver Ash, Cotton Grey, Smoked Oyster; Sherwin Williams: Worldly Gray, Anew Grey, Repose Grey, Dorian Gray; Benjamin Moore: Pale Oak, Revere Pewter, Briar Wood; Behr makes a color Sycamore Grove that is similar to your green but might be a tad lighter. This home is so perfect!! I personally prefer open concept but I definitely understand your reasoning for separate space and this home is a dream. This is personally enjoyable to me because we bought a new home and will be moving in 6 weeks and seeing you go through your new home projects is very helpful. I was looking at the same paint swatches and you helped narrow down my choices (some are just too dark) and will be trying to replace things like trim etc to modernize our new home and seeing you do so makes it far less intimidating. I grew up watching Martha Stewart & PBS This Old Home etc and I feel like you are bringing a new dynamic to the old school shows. 💜
Excited for you both. I too painted my home in gray. A little tip - pick the tone of gray you like and then ask them to adjust the percentage of the mix to get the depth of color you like. I wanted a true gray tone but not too dark so I lightened the gray by 30%. I live in Washington state so it really helps during the winter months.
I personally just used Anew Grey by Sherman Williams in a friend’s condo, it looks incredible against whites & greens it definitely will compliment your warm tone’s from the floors, feels very inviting:) Sherman Williams paint is awesome, great choice! Can’t wait to see all the progress to come:-) Congratulations on your new home!
wow, again, so happy for you both! When you said you and Josh were talking about being able to work side by side again made me tear up a little, so special you have each other.
I'm so thrilled for you and Josh. Your new homestead is gorgeous and will be even more so when your style is done. Looking forward to all the new remodeling videos. 👏🎉🙌🙏💞🙂✌
I found that taking my samples outside helped me eliminate some of them. Inside they looked fine, but in broad daylight I could spot the blue/yellow/green undertones a lot better. That let me know what they’d really look like with the sunlight coming through the windows.
Congrats on your new home! We used "Wool Skein" by Sherwin Williams throughout our house. It's a lovely light warm greige color that has a very slight green undertone. It works well with earth tones, greens, and blues.
We used Agreeable Grey from Sherman Williams with all very white trim and some black. I think it leans more beige than blue. I really love it and would use it again.
Hey Becky! Congratulations to you and Josh on the new home! I wanted to offer you a tip about painting before you rip out old carpeting and install the new trim boards so that you don’t need to worry of getting wall paint on them. And on a side note, next time you peel your garlic harvest try using the silicone mat from your dehydrator to roll the cloves out of an entire bulb of garlic at once. I mentioned this once when you were about to harvest garlic but guessing you never saw it. My hubs usually does it for me cuz it does take a little bit of muscle but it is a game changer when it comes to time spent peeling bulk garlic! He peels 5 lbs of garlic for me within minutes truly! He just sandwiched the entire bulb between the folded over mat and rolls it back and forth for a second. Best of luck to you and Josh!!! Can’t wait to see all the new and exciting projects you have planned!
Watching you both dig into renovation takes me back to our family’s early days when we bought a fixer upper. With three kids and full time jobs, it took years to complete. I am confident that you two will make much quicker progress than we did. I am so excited for you.
So sad that all the trim had to go to the dump. Here we advertise stuff like that on the FB sale sights for free and we are always lucky someone who needs them takes them. Great job glad things are looking so good for you both
The house is amazing!!!! So happy for you both. You two are such hard workers, it’s awesome to see in only a few short years how things have evolved. Excited to follow along with you guys. 🙂
I like mega greige… add me to the list of people giving you tips…. Paint the walls before you reinstall the trim. Set the trim on sawhorses and paint it all before reinstalling. Then you only have to fill nail holes and dab a little paint over them. It’s MUCH easier than cutting in trim…
Becky you really are a breath of fresh air, I have been watching you from the beginning and have learnt so much from you both garden and cooking, I’m so pleased for the both of you that you have found your perfect homestead, and a new beginning starts now, can’t wait to watch you both turn your house into a home, sending lots of love from the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 xx
We are in the midst of having our main bathroom remodeled and we decided that as long as we were doing that we would replace all of the doors in the house. The old ones were cheap builder grade hollow doors and we replaced them with beautiful solid doors. We also replaced all of the hinges, handles and door knobs. Even though it was about $6,000 it makes a huge difference. I don’t regret doing it at all.
Becky, you and Josh work like a team and support one another. I have no doubt your home is definitely going to be your finished Dream Home. It is absolutely gorgeous and having everything you hoped for. Dreams come true. Love you both and am following on this journey with you.
Love watching you journey. You popped up on my page because I watch other renovation gardening and cooking bloggers. In particular The Chateau Diaries.
Becky, We live in the Pacific Northwest, too (Oregon). Despite the endless gray skies, gray painted walls really do work. We used Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore. It has the slightest green tinge to it (depending on lighting) which coordinates really well with natural stained hardwood floors. Congratulations on your new home!
Love Revere Pewter also. Son moved out so I got a craft room and did the color because my carpet is beige, loved it so much we did it in our master bathroom also.
I painted my living room a pretty dark grey, and my family was shocked when they saw the paint, but when it was on the walls with all the white trim and color coming from the furniture, everyone who saw it loved it! Next time I paint, I'll definitely do it again.
I’m not actually sure if it’s a gray, but sherwin Williams ‘revere pewter’ has been lovely for our north facing kitchen! Looks like you are diving right in to the new house, love it!
@@miriam_kathleen She can still get it at SW. That's what I LOVE about that store. They can match ANY color. Oh, and they can turn purple into red. Lol
Aww Becky, this was so special to watch. I’ve only been subscribed to your channel for 6 months & love your energy 🥰 You are mature beyond your years sweet girl. You & Josh will look back in years to come & really appreciate all your hard work you put in now. The house is gorgeous & I love the layout…that sun room is gorgeous. Thank you for bringing us along on your journey 🙏🏻😍
I am one for lighter colors because it enhances when the furniture & lighting & paintings...etc goes in. Great choice on the lighter gray! I am willing you & Josh strength, stamina & laughter this next week! Cheers!!!
I’m so excited to see your home transform! Try Revere Pewter by Ben Moore. You can have it colored matched. Also, consider changing out your electrical plugs and switches to white. We did this in an older house we remodeled. It made a huge difference! Congratulations!!
Revere pewter is a soft gray that looks very soothing in my kitchen which gets both east and south sunlight. I was hoping it was one of the paint colors.
Lighting-- the natural and the artificial -- make such a big impact on the actual paint colors and how they will look. Since you have soo many windows which give such fabulous light, you’ll want to keep those effects in mind. Lots to consider and tackle! Enjoy making your house “your” home. Susan
To track the sunlight on my garden we used Wyze cams. They make it so easy to record timelapses and they’re pretty inexpensive too. Also has motion and pet detection so it might give you an idea of what critters visit!
Becky I am so excited for you and Josh. My heart was so happy watching you two working together to make your home your own. You would think I was getting a new home.
Becky can not wait to see the progress as you go through all these upgrades. We have updated all the doors in our house except the two entry doors. Upgraded to all matching hardware. Upgraded the flooring on the stairs and master. Downstairs to be done at some point. We are in the middle (taking way too long) a bathroom remodel. We have done all the upgrades /painting in the house. You are getting me motivated to finish painting the bathrooms as that is the last rooms that need new paint. So happy for you and Josh.
Hi Becky, I literally cried when I saw your last video. I was so excited for you guys. Our house now is almost the perfect size but we need more outside space for gardening and a workshop/storage for the Hubby tools and lawn stuff. After the last video and is stopped crying in excitement I called our realtor and hopefully we will be in our forever home 🏡. Congratulations 🎊 again to you guys .
I love Agreeable Gray I have warm tones in my house and get so many complements. Excited to see your garden go in, I deal with slopes so hoping to learn some new tricks and ideas. I dont have the resources to terrace so I plant in small plots along the slopes.
Grey seems to be the new color of choice for a lot of people. I find solid Grey or white just seems to overwhelm me and deepens my depression so I typically use lighter colors and pastels.
What excitement! In my view, wood goes well with any color. I like the cooler grays and they look fine with the old floors! One tip: I’d put down tarps under the trash can and materials to avoid scratching your floors. Ask me how I know … (smile)
Congrats on your new home! Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray is an awesome option for a very neutral gray. I have very orangey pine wood floors and this color still compliments it beautifully.
The Curiosity Incorporated TH-cam channel just painted their new house with Agreeable Gray and I was surprised how much I liked it-I’m usually not a fan because gray tones remind me of hospitals and doctors’ offices.
Husband and I have been paint contractors for 20 years. Just did a house- the whole house in SW agreeable grey. It’s gorgeous!!! Grey is the color this year for sure!
The griege looks really good with the flooring on videos. Hard to tell what it looks like IRL. If you have appliances in the new house, or can bring one over for the duration, you can at least store leftovers, casseroles, etc in that while you are working, and have meals available. If you bring at least one service of dishes/flatware per person working, you can easily wash those up before returning home. Even a simple box of food storage containers, simple spices (salt/pepper/cumin - because you use those a lot), and then you can quickly reheat a meal while you are working. I'm excited to watch your progress! I love the new home with the view, the yard, and the already established orchard. You will have to add a plum and fig tree to the orchard this fall, as I know you will miss those from your current home!
I just wanted to throw out a little word of caution about using that dark green in the pretty farmhouse bathroom. If you’re going for a farmhouse look, lighter is better. Darker is more Victorian (and very dated 80’s as well). I would encourage you to try the two lighter colors on that paint chip card. My personal recommendation would be the lightest of the three. But you do what makes your heart happy!! I’m so excited for you two! Enjoy every second of your new home!
I was thinking that too. While small rooms like powder rooms can handle a dose of dark color, that green is intense. I like the middle chip on that card, but the lighter one would also look nice.
Sherwin Williams - Agreeable Grey! Highly recommend! We used that on the walls for my entire property and all the trim was Urbane Bronze. It looked so good!
In Southern California so much grey has been used it is getting to take on a look and style on avocado carpet from the 50s. There is a lot of repainting going on now. If that is what you want go with the lightest as it does darken with age. The trim ie gorgeous
congrats on the new house Becky and Josh!! that is so exciting and it is going to be so awesome! Thank you to Josh for allowing Becky to film you and the progress :) As for paint colors - we just painted our whole house Agreeable Grey and we love it! We have medium-dark wood floors and it looks great with them. It might be a little lighter than you want, but I have 4 different friends/family members who have painted their house Agreeable Grey too and it looks amazing in every house. Good luck :)
Becky I like the darker grey #4 but that is me... The house looks awesome, and it is huge, love the garden spaces, y'all are going to Love this house 🏠🏠🏡🏡....
I have been watching for a while now and feel like you are living my dream life! Strange thing is a year ago I never would have managed to achieve it. But now it’s looking possible and I love learning new things from you in preparation for growing and storing my own food. Hoping to eventually build on a property and make sure to have a basement(unusual in Australia) specifically to store food.
Hello! New to your channel and wanted to congratulate you and your husband on your new homestead! Looking forward to seeing it all! Perfect Greige is a warm grey and it is gorgeous! We did it throughout our home and it goes with everything! Blessing to you!🙂
This is so exciting for you both I am sure. My husband and I work together all the time just like you two and it has been a wonderful 42 years. One suggestion I have is you should paint first then put on your trim. So much easier for painting! Love watching all your videos.
Those floors are STUNNING! I definitely like the more beige tones that won’s take anything away from those beautiful floors. I used a color called Oatmeal from Valspar that was very nice. Would go great with those floors but may not be your style because it’s light. I’m so excited to see these demo and remodel videos. We’re about to start a big remodel project in my house and ideas and motivation will be helpful. I’m in Florida where prices for real estate have skyrocketed so improving my investment is a great idea. Can I just say how impressed i am with your husband. He’s so handy and always supportive of your cooking, gardening ect.. You both compliment each other very well. ❤️ You should gather some “provisions “ to keep at the new house while you’re renovating. Paper products, some protein bars, ect…

I prefer daylight as well myself. The warm white light looks very yellow and can appear cheap and dingy and aged. I've been told i would regret it as well, and years in its been the opposite.
LED lights are horrible for your optic nerve. No thanks.
Yes!! We went with all daylight lighting and we also added TONS of can lights in our house with daylight LED lights. My father in law said we could perform autopsies in my kitchen on the island with all the lights we added 🤣
@@pamelaremme38thanks i never knew that, I'll have to look into it
Rule of thumb: if the room needs to be cozy (living, bedroom etc) you want a warmer toned light.
I believe she quit her full time job and now TH-cam is her job…which is why it has changed……..way less gardening.

The green in the bathroom with the white is going to look stunning!! ❤️
Agree!!
@@aurysalinas2147 She said in her tour video (posted up above) that they are planning on removing that wall.
Agree! I love the green
I’m sure y’all did this but remember to label each door that you removed so you know where it goes back to! Really loving your forever home ♥️
Are the doors being donated, too? No need to know which doorways they come from in that case. Otherwise, that is a very smart tip.
@Barbara Moss they removed the doors because they plan to repaint them and make sure they hinges match. The old hinges were gold and door handles were silver.
That IS a good tip. I have 4 different door sizes in my house. Nightmare! Ugh!
@@barbaramoss6413 the doors are being painted; the door hardware is being donated.
You forget, Tammy, this is Becky we're talking about. She can't remember to label her canned jars, and you want her to remember to label the doors? LOL Though, Josh might be better at that.
I always like Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray. It seems to cover great and goes with a lot.
So excited to see these updates coming out! First you're teaching me gardening, then food preservation, and now home renovation? Winner, winner!
I agree a lighter grey would look beautiful. Maybe pick some lighter samples or lighten one of these
Your new home is beautiful!
Painting the walls before you put the trim on makes painting so much easier! You probably already know that! I vote for Josh's shop in the 3rd garage bay, looks bigger.
I have been a silent viewer for a while now, but I have to say. I am so proud of you.
Thank you for donating those items to Habitat Restore!! They do such good work and can really use them. Congratulations on your new forever home!❤️❤️
becky, i am SO happy for you. really, truly, you deserve this new beginning and i'm so glad this is a dream you and josh are able to achieve ❤ (p.s: finding out josh was a drummer in the last video was, like, finding out about the coolest alter ego ever! works in IT by day, drummer by night lol)

So glad you are able to work together and make your new house your home.
Agreeable gray was what we did our whole house in. Warm floors and gray walls.
I also recommend Agreeable Grey
I'm jumping on to comment agreeable gray as well! My husband builds custom homes ($2M+) and that is the go-to gray for the designers.
👍🏻💯
Congratulations on your 300K followers!! 🎉 I just noticed!
I really like agreeable gray. I would also consider the middle green chip. It’s still a contrast but not so dark that the walls close in!
♥️ Roots & Refuge & agree with the waiting room being our learning room♥️🙏🕊✝️♥️
I just quoted Jess in the comments on the first home tour video! I just love both of these ladies. They are young enough to be my kids, but I want to be them when I grow up.
I'm just amazed Josh appeared on your thumbnail AND in this whole video! YAY Josh!!
I just made the peach and strawberry oatmeal for the week… you changed my life lady! Thank you 🙏
The colors you picked are perfect. They green for bathroom will look so elegant. Can't wait for the reveal.
Now in my 60's, I remember doing all this work in my 30's and 40's. You are so wise to do it now. Won't get any easier and less fun. So pleased for you both, your journey and videos are just a joy. Maybe you can get someone on marketplace who will take the trim?
That trim would have been a great find for someone. I hated to see it go to the dump.
We did that with paint samples. However, in the end, decided against that as it could be difficult to get more that's exactly right if u run out.
That mega gray is spot on!
I think the lightest colors are the best. The new gray would allow the house to look bright and clean. Congratulations to you and Josh 🎉
We used Agreeable Grey from Sherman Williams with all very white trim and some black. I think it leans more beige than blue. I really love it and would use it again.
I loved to hear your daughter’s voice. I know she is precious. She will be great in anything she does. Blessings
So the journey progresses!!! Looking forward to the videos!
Watching you both dig into renovation takes me back to our family’s early days when we bought a fixer upper. With three kids and full time jobs, it took years to complete. I am confident that you two will make much quicker progress than we did. I am so excited for you.
The trim could be used to make picture frames, to frame some of your gorgeous flowers that could be dried.
So sad that all the trim had to go to the dump. Here we advertise stuff like that on the FB sale sights for free and we are always lucky someone who needs them takes them. Great job glad things are looking so good for you both
I am also quite sad about that. Someone would have driven to pick it up for sure.
Agreed. Someone could have used all that trim.
I deffinatly offer any thing I carnt use on a free group ,always somone ,appreciate it and save them money
I agree
Yes, I would gave taken it in a heartbeat if I wasn't in Australia.
How exciting! Blessings on your new journey! God bless!
You guys are so smart. I love the way you work and how efficient you are
We are in the midst of having our main bathroom remodeled and we decided that as long as we were doing that we would replace all of the doors in the house. The old ones were cheap builder grade hollow doors and we replaced them with beautiful solid doors. We also replaced all of the hinges, handles and door knobs. Even though it was about $6,000 it makes a huge difference. I don’t regret doing it at all.
I bet the new doors are beautiful.
I loved the darker greens for the bathroom!! 😍 and the lightest grey, only because it keeps the house looking like there is so much natural light
Me too!
Love Revere Pewter also. Son moved out so I got a craft room and did the color because my carpet is beige, loved it so much we did it in our master bathroom also.
Sherwin Williams Agreeable Grey is very neutral. It picks up the undertone of the rest of the room.
Agreeable gray is the perfect color. Goes with everything. No off undertones. Decorators use this one a lot.
I have agreeable gray in my home and I love it!
What company has that color? Sherwin Williams? Behr? Valspar?
I painted my living room a pretty dark grey, and my family was shocked when they saw the paint, but when it was on the walls with all the white trim and color coming from the furniture, everyone who saw it loved it! Next time I paint, I'll definitely do it again.
I’m not actually sure if it’s a gray, but sherwin Williams ‘revere pewter’ has been lovely for our north facing kitchen! Looks like you are diving right in to the new house, love it!
I’m pretty sure that Revere Pewter is a Benjamin Moore color
@@miriam_kathleen you might be right! Either way it’s a nice color haha
@@miriam_kathleen She can still get it at SW. That's what I LOVE about that store. They can match ANY color. Oh, and they can turn purple into red. Lol

Bathroom green...I used "midnight in NY"
Behr paint..its stunning..I also paired with white.
Wishing you both great health and happiness in your new home.
I'm so excited to follow this journey. You to are getting a great start.💚
Good idea!
Gold fittings in the bathroom - and go with the darker colours that you had on the wood dresser.
So happy for you. Living the dream. 🙏🏻🧡💜🧡💜

I can't wait to follow your progress on your new home! It's such an amazing property!
I love those adhesive backed felt to prevent scratches, Susan, Becky’s Mom.
Looking forward to seeing your new house being revamped. 👍🥰
My home is Agreeable Gray and I love it!
Husband and I have been paint contractors for 20 years. Just did a house- the whole house in SW agreeable grey. It’s gorgeous!!! Grey is the color this year for sure!
We are actually using Agreeable Grey in our new house as well right now. It goes really well with the brown tones on your flooring.
Totally agree.
a sage green would be GORGEOUS in there. 🥰
@@KikisCraftRoom Agree completely!
I’m surprised Becky picked such a old Victorian color. So dsrk
Agreeable Grey, it's warm and everything goes with it. It's so fun to watch you work on your home
Sherwin Williams - Agreeable Grey! Highly recommend! We used that on the walls for my entire property and all the trim was Urbane Bronze. It looked so good!
I second Agreeable Grey. It really does seem to go with everything.
I agree with Agreeable Gray. That is the last paint choice for our condo. Everyone compliments us on the choice.
I love it too. Covers great and compliments many different floorings.
Definitely check out agreeable grey.
Thank you to Josh for allowing Becky to film you and the progress :)
As for paint colors - we just painted our whole house Agreeable Grey and we love it! We have medium-dark wood floors and it looks great with them. It might be a little lighter than you want, but I have 4 different friends/family members who have painted their house Agreeable Grey too and it looks amazing in every house. Good luck :)
