Kristen, my daughters are in their 30’s. Our Christmas tree tells the story of our lives. We always purchase ornaments on vacation. If our kids were in sports or playing an instrument there are ornaments depicting them. Any hobby or interest deserves an ornament. Small pictures of pets and family members are on our tree. Even a few antique ornaments passed down to us. Even though our kids have their own homes, they still love to decorate our tree. They hold ornaments and laugh and cry. It’s priceless. It looks like you’re already doing this with the pictures on your tree. Someday your children will have fun decorating your tree and talking about the special ones they remember.
Your home always looks gorgeous but this Christmas decor is my absolute favorite I’ve seen in your channel. Have you seen the rechargeable faux candles. I haven’t tried them yet but it eliminates the need to switch batteries.
I loved it when you turned the overhead lights down at the end Kristen. I also appreciated that while you may be able to afford to spent a lot on decorations, you kept extra purchases minimal, as many people may not have any spare money in this economy this year.

Our nutcrackers are from Germany and our little smokers are as well. All handcrafted. I look forward to getting them out every year. Can you make a video about tying together wood tones and hardware/fixture finishes for a cohesive look? I’m having a hard time deciding what color of table to get that will tie in with the rest of my house the best, and if I should choose light fixture finishes that match my cupboard hardware.

However, I can still use lots of your Christmas decor ideas. I've bought some of your recommended candles from Amazon for this Christmas. Do you have a recommended brand for pillar candles? So fun! My husband & I found some awesome finds for Christmas @ the Goodwill store & the bins. We found an old fashioned Santa framed art. Our theme for our house is Santa, I also will be decorating my son's Christmas tree and the theme is red & green, also deer & moose decor. 😊
You could tie bows at the bottom of your dining room chandelier " candles" or, use tapered candle rings of greenery, berries, etc. I used to swag a lightweight garland around the lights of my chandelier for the holidays. As always, it turned out gorgeous!!❤
You decor is lovely. Finally some real color in your Christmas decor after years of white and neutrals. Deep reds, greens, antique golds, silvers and brass are just stunning and are cosy. We use clip on candles in Germany, the grandparents still use real candles. I put red ribbon bows around the bottom of the candles this year. It looks so sweet and the ribbons cover the clips.
I love the viral tree from Home Depot. I may get one next year. They are sold out now. So I’ll be a crazy lady going into Home Depot next year in October. That tree is pretty. And they have it in slim which would fit well in my house. I love all the decor you have used so far. I guess you just have the eye and training, so you know what looks best. I don’t even have my tree up yet. But I’m hoping to get it done this weekend. I should clean. But by the time I get everything inside I will make a bigger mess. So I may just bring stuff in and clean after I’m done. Your home is beautiful. Everything just goes together. It’s like you know exactly how to make it all work. I guess it’s your design background.

Just wanted to give you a tip as someone who has had a career in visual merchandising in stores such as Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s in NY, to give your tree even more visual appeal and attractiveness, group two ball shaped ornaments of different colors or textures together on a hook, as long as they are the same sized ornament, and hang them like that. It gives the trees a beautiful visual appearance instead of having every ornament that hangs straight down you have some now that hang like berries or grapes on a vine. Merry Christmas!!

My theme continues to remain earthy, like browns and greens. I haven't quite done the pop of red because it really just isn't me. I have those exact candles and I absolutely love them. Just put them out for thanksgiving and everyone was impressed! The timer is awesome. Every time I’ve used battery operated lighting, I forget to turn them off and the batteries die right away. Only timers from now on!

I did everything very traditional with tartan plaids and stuck with red, green and white. Your home is beautiful. The only thing I would add in your dining room is some drapes and an area rug to add more softness.

I also wanted to mention that while you were talking in the dining room it sounded echoey and think perhaps placing a nice rug underneath the dining table would help with the sounds bouncing all over. I ordered a set of 24 bows on Amazon and switched the gold wire for the green wire i use for ornaments and put them in my tree and garlands. I’m obsessed. Bows on everything from now on. It’s so pretty and festive

Beautiful! I like how your trees and garland aren't overdone. I always put up my grandmother's vintage silver tinsel tree with her vintage ornaments. Our winter village is up, as well as some repurposed and redesigned garland. I have used and loved a red and white theme for years. This year, I opted for using black, clear with swirls and silver-white on my pure white Christmas tree. I have touches of black throughout my home so it works. I like that it is very different from so many previous years. I opted for some bows this year, too, and I love the whimsical white sprays and picks I found. We are now empty-nesters with children in their 20s. I decided to put up decor earlier this year so I can enjoy it longer. Thanks for sharing your home with viewers.

Deft a WOW! I saw a tissue paper color combo that inspired me this year - navy hunter red and white- and my home is now full of red ribbons. I did everything very traditional with tartan plaids and stuck with red, green and white.
Your home is beautiful. The only thing I would add in your dining room is some drapes and an area rug to add more softness.

Everything looks beautiful. I don’t know if you mentioned putting slip covers or the folding chairs or not but think it would really finish it off.
I also wanted to mention that while you were talking in the dining room it sounded echoey and think perhaps placing a nice rug underneath the dining table would help with the sounds bouncing all over. Only a suggestion.

I ordered a set of 24 bows on Amazon and switched the gold wire for the green wire i use for ornaments and put them in my tree and garlands. I’m obsessed. Bows on everything from now on. It’s so pretty and festive

Beautiful! I like how your trees and garland aren't overdone. I always put up my grandmother's vintage silver tinsel tree with her vintage ornaments. Our winter village is up, as well as some repurposed and redesigned garland. I have used and loved a red and white theme for years.
This year, I opted for using black, clear with swirls and silver-white on my pure white Christmas tree. I have touches of black throughout my home so it works. I like that it is very different from so many previous years. I opted for some bows this year, too, and I love the whimsical white sprays and picks I found.
We are now empty-nesters with children in their 20s. I decided to put up decor earlier this year so I can enjoy it longer.
