I was leveling a mage in tbc but my buddy wanted to play horde, so I’m playing a Druid now into wrath. And I’m tempted to stay feral just because I’m having fun with it rn.
Just stay Feral then lol. Don’t listen to people who go “you picked the wrong class and or spec hurr durr” with that kind of crap. All classes are viable

It is hands down the best healer in PvE and PvP, and 25 man raids will want two of them. You are also likely to be at the top of the list for the legendary mace because they are so ridiculously powerful.
@@johnfears8814 , to clarify for Wengeance, in raids you would be running a holy light build and probably wouldn't use Flash of Light except in super niche situations. Basically you beacon the tank and heal the raid, keeping the tank up at the same time... it's fucking dumb what they can do. XD

I feel like spriest will be a good overall dps spec in wrath… now that mind flay and dots will be able to crit, gear with stats besides straight up +shadow damage will help scale a lot now. Trying to decide between sticking with my spriest or making a ret pally… but spriest seems pretty enticing to play in wrath!
Can confirm shadowpriest was one of the best raid dps specs in wrath right early on into wotlk a certain shadowpriest always did insane dmg on some of the raid bosses provided you got the correct gear, but an older patch was used back in the days.
Im in the same boat so HARD! I absolutely love the aesthetic of both Ret and Spriest so im having such a difficulty choosing which to level atm to ready myself for Wrath!
Re: spriest, you can mind sear on a friendly target (usually a tank) to hopefully hit all enemies. The damage is still not great on small packs, but that's what multidotting is for.
Its called nameplate cooldowns. You'll also want BigDebuffs for the big picture next to the nameplate so you can easily see things like a pala's divine shield/bop or anything like a mages sheep, makes it a lot easier.
I totally agree with you with the deathknight ! This class is absolute beast and have broken dps ! Even when you have no gear, you can easily outclass other dps who have higher gearscore than you (multiple proof on screens). It's the easiest class for pve AND pvp. Can take damage, do a lot of strong dps etc.. If you want to be cool and surpass other in term of pure dps or kills, I highly recommand the deathknight ! I play rogue and DK and I can say that with 3200 gs frost DK, I can deal or even surpass the dps from my 4k gs mutilate rogue.
amazing guide. you are soft spoken and I love the voice. however that leads to my only complaint, the sounds you use when moving graphics onto and off screen is like metal scraping and super loud, uncomfortable. but still great guide
Top DPS? mage at END game. Same with warrior w/shadowmourne. Rogue is good all the way through. Best tank? Paladin... without a doubt. Best healer? Paladin again but disc priests are huge in raids.

So i‘m between warrior, hunter and druid Warrior just a monster I love the charge and big crits - hunter range without getting kicked and it has a Pet!! only for the pet I would like to lvl one. - druid so versatile I like boomkin, feral, heal is not bad too but I think is its a bit squishy? -shadow looks sick but there is not that much dmg/crits? - Frost dk such a cool class in wotlk Gl to choose one! I cant 😂
Sure on release they were busted; but keep in mind the classes will be on the 3.3.5 build (meaning when they were brought in line). Even still, they are damn powerful in every spec, from the start to finish, in every type of content.
Shadow was widely regarded as one of the most OP DPS specs in Wrath, not sure where you're coming up with the "middle of the pack" placement for it. Feels like overall this was more focused on PvP but you didn't wanna say that lol.
Feel like fire frost bolt is a good spec for the beginning of wrath live leveling. Arcane is so mana draining in raids you’ll run out of mana mid fight.
by "in raids" you mean Naxx and Malygos, right? Because in later raid tiers Arcane mages didn't have mana issues. Arcane was terribly easy (1-1-1-1-2-repeat), dealt decent damage unless all CDs were ready which was when you dealt insane damage.
Quibble with warrior tanks: other tank classes aren't "technically" better. They're MUCH better. Yes, you can clear with warriors (my guild cleared everything including achievements except for the Algalon one and zero lights) and we used two warrior tanks. Here's the problem though: Survivability and mitigation. Warrior threat, even AOE threat, is fine. Warriors have good cooldowns. Warriors are made a fucking PAPER compared to any other tank, though. Literally you have fights where the warrior is just gonna take 20-30% more damage than any other tank because THAT'S how bad their survivability is. I would HIGHLY recommend that if you want to raid tank in anything other than the MOST casual of casual guilds, that you not roll a warrior. My guild is a dad guild (ie we're pretty casual but we still clear everything and don't have long raid times) and we are already locked in that we won't have a permanent warrior tank in our raid. DPS warriors go from slightly above average in Naxx to S tier in ICC so definitely play that instead if you want to play a warrior. Edit: warrior tanks are actually pretty good in heroics though, tons of utility and control and their mitigation just works way better in that setting than in raids.
People said that now and then, however, I main tanked as a Warrior in WOTLK and was able to take us through most of the content without all of this squishiness people keep referring to. In fact, my Warrior could survive when and where none of the other tanks could, and on top of that, my warrior tank's DPS was so high, I'd often be in the top 10% along with the DPS. After that, we started raiding it on our alts where I 2nd mained an Ele shaman and 3rd a Beast Hunter. All 3 specs considered underpar, and somehow I topped chart with all three. I'm nothing special. I attribute much of that success to one of our guildies who heavily studied macro chains and timing of abilities and encounter masteries. Would you know it, that part of being a top DPS was by maneuvering out of damage inhibiting situations in boss fights? The same applies to tanking. Much of the encounters had ways for a tank to play smarter and avoid many of the huge damage spikes, and for warriors, timing of abilities was key. Got to the point where I tanked on autopilot from muscle memory and didn't even have to look at my keys anymore. I played all the tank classes in wotlk, and the warrior, for me, was by far the most fun, and while the pally started way ahead in terms of survivability, once a warrior hits that 264 GS mark or higher, plus the huge DPS increase, a warrior becomes far more desirable. Having a geared warrior tank is equivalent to adding a free DPS to much of the content. They still need to be played well and spec'd correctly, but they are not all bad as many keep suggesting.

Wrath was my first FULL expansion. I hit 70 on my hunter 2 weeks before the release of WotLK. It holds the most nostalgia for me as well

Boomkin/Resto Druid was so fun to main - especially in a 10-man focused guild. Could really dominate both DPS and healing.
I really feel resto druid are underrated by many.

You wont be dealing huge dmg, but vampiric embraces will make spriest a must have in raids

One correction, holy wrath does NOT work on all targets, only demons and undead. However, it is an instant cast now.

As unholy dk/resto sham we didnt struggle at all only people whou gave us headaches were warrior/rdudu pairs. 2350 rating at the time
