This series is one of, if not, the best to view for objectively reviewing the state of each class in a specific point of time. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and am looking forward to this Wrath's recap
These have consistently been my favorite series to watch on TH-cam every xpac! I play classic extremely casually (never hit max lvl, still just leveling :p) but these videos always make me excited to hear how everyone is improving and what new things to look forward to. I look forward to seeing more of this series and cheers on the fantastic work thus far!
Resto Druid is my absolute favorite healer of all time, especially in the Wrath/Cata era. You can pretty much get by just spamming Wild Growth and Lifebloom, but many big numbers fill screen make brain happy, whether or not piloting the class is difficult.
That was me on holy priest in Ioc/AV topping the healing chart by a huge margin. Cata made holy priests broken for a while though, which made it feel even better, winning duels with dps classes because of the chakras 😂
love you mate, keep the content rolling. These videos really help me decide what to play going into the expansion. I feel it is the only guide series that is more objective and just talks about how the class plays/feels/actually performs in all specs. Great job man!
Hehe i hear ya. Great class to have as a 70 , then later 80 . hard to do unless ya play a lil here and there but great to have. Definitely not for all . greeat farmer/dungeon crawler for a guild
im happy you're doing these... i wont seriously play if my friends dont, but i love these videos and WELL DONE ON THE QUALITY i am shook and excited to see
You are my new favorite content creator for WoW content!! I can't get enough of your stuff! Keep them coming!! And Thank you for doing what you do!! :)
The skill cap around feral DPS is incredibly high. I've seen feral beat out warriors with shadowmourne. So much uniqueness in wrath, primarily why people loved it
Cracking video. I was a bit surprised about your final summary take on the desirability of Feral Tanks though - their awesome Effective health pool scaling is ludicrous at launch and only gets better with more gear - being able to take the biggest hit a raid boss can throw to the chin, not avoid any of it and still be at a comfortable 30% HP afterwards makes raid healers love the big furry bastards over other tank, who can just die out of nowhere with a bit of bad luck or when their CD's aren't up. Gearing them is super easy as well due to the lack of defence, parry etc required - just piss off your raids token rogue and steal all his drops!
I really like feral druids. I don't know a better tank for random heroic dungeons. I completely disagree with the AOE agrro which is quite strong. If we take consider the possibility of swapping one or both trinkets, you have zero agrro problems in endgame content ICC (endgame dps is so strong so misdirection, ToT must have anyway). If a druid tank has BiS equipment, it is really useful as a main tank especially in ICC/RS. What I see as a bigger problem is the raid bonus. In DK's case it's haste, which can replace your enhancement/elemental shaman. If we're talking engame content, you don't want to see either in a raid. Elemental shaman is completely useless and enhancement shaman is mediocre DPS at most. (we're talking about the endgame dps) paladin offers divine sacrifice for the whole raid, Hands of protection also usefull + it's a tough "can" with child safety protection and full azz of stuns :D In general, the DK/prot paladin setup is the best possible scenario. During a pull, it's quite difficult for a tank to throw inervate to healers or combat ress. (not impossible) So besides the 5% crit bonus that no one mentioned in the video it doesn't offer anything more.
I'm most likely going to play druid on wrath classic. It was my priority alt when I wasn't playing hunter, but it was a blast to play feral for pvp and boomy for pve so I'm thinking of making it my main this time around for sure. Awesome video and can't wait for more to come for this series!
T8 4p bonus for resto druid is definitely something to be excited for :) I remember in the original WotLK topping the meters sooo much with this due to the fact that it is instantaneous and rejuv ticks for considerable amount of HP
Man that character animation for showing the different parts of the video was super clean. WillE does those little extras that make these vids so good..
Having started playing in Legion and recently swapping to maining Resto Druid, it's wild to see how many of these effects that the spec gets disappeared over time only to reappear in Shadowlands as legendary abilities.
Fantastic editing. I played my druid from classic till now and ill continue doing it. Im excited for the feral changes even though im kinda sad that powershifting is gone.
I would say my sole gripe with druid is that I like playing resto, but I don't like running around as a tree, it's why it's more appealing for me from cata beyond lol.
Literally the same with me. On paper I love the versatility and play style of druids, and I really like their fantasy too, but I don't want to run around as a giant chicken or a tree! I'm planning on running a fresh server with wotlk classic, and can't decide between Druid and Hunter.
Bro. Dude. Man. *I **_had_** to stop at the end of the intro just to **_instalike_** and say this:* It's awesome to see how much you've progressed in editing, I remember watching the vanilla episodes as they were coming out and while it was always enjoyable, the rise in quality is truly impossible to ignore. You're a gem in the MMO/gaming commentary scene, probs my fav creator along Josh Strife and Punkrat (who has since moved to culture and politics commentary and is even better at it than he was at MMO content). I hope to watch your content years into the future. And maybe if I get my ish together and/or algorithms will stop being biased in a BS direction, you guys will be enjoying my work someday too XD ~Best of wishes from Poland
Restodruids easily topping heals in classic/som and impossible to outheal (personal experience), they are still one of the best in wotlk but very hard to stay on top. And in wotlk as I remember, I was top at the beginning but near ICC I started to get passed sometimes. If played well, they will be still good and that combat res is a big value, especially if the tank dies. My other favorite was the afflilock (mained it until mid-ulduar) and was pretty good. Best for farming but now will be viable in raids too... its the same as resto or any druids, only good if played well... restodruids (same as in com/tbc) depending on predicting incoming damages, and not about instant reflex heals. For starting fresh, its good that moonkins will be viable as well and can go heal anytime, in tbc I had no problem healing till 70 as full feral in healgear (gear dependent) but as moonkin since the same spelldmg gear is useful for healing as well - and since dualspec will not be available for a while - will be good for questing and healing too... I guess. ps: in EU in classic/tbc I was restodruid Marcang on Golemagg, in SoM I'm HoTmedic on Dreadnaught (if someone wants to check resto-logs), and I'll start fresh with the same name... hoping to see not just one tree per raid :)
The intro to this series is extremely well done!! Can’t wait to play my boomie in wrath after watching this and finally get some respect around here LOL. Good video WillE looking forward to the rest of it!
@11:10 You're more than right about Typhoon. Back during Wrath we saw there was an achievement for killing all the opposing faction leaders, which was kind of a cross between a world boss and a pvp battleground because you would have to go into the enemy factions cities and fight past large amounts of city guards until you get to the leader himself, which did not go down easily, and along the way players who were flagged for pvp could of course attack you. In some cases the enemy faction might even gang up to defend their city leaders. It was quite a different version of pvp, whereas most battlegrounds were timed or won/lost depending on reasons, this was in the open world. Picture if you will, the Alliance. Raiding across the country side. They mass summon inside tepees in Mugore, and then rush onto the lifts to carry them up to Thunder Bluff. 50+ players, on their way to pay their respects to Chieftain of the Tauren. ONE Tauren Druid. ONE spell. Anyone who didn't think fast enough to use some sort of avoidance (slow fall, etc) died. Including me, and I was a druid too. I thought it was funny as hell. Like, "Hi! ACHOO!" One of those events I thought I'd never see again, considering in Cataclysm, flying was finally allowed in the old zones, so now we can all just swoop in, kill the chief, and fly away. But that one druid, standing at the top of the elevators to Thunderbluff, sneezing the alliance to their deaths.... priceless! I don't remember his character name or if he still plays, but I will never forget that moment I fell to my death along with the rest of the raid. Truly, the one player who became "the Elevator Boss". Priceless! So yeah. If you can time it right, you can kill your enemies with that spell. Warning to other players, don't stand near ledges when a boomchicken is near!
Restoring mana on melee hits is actually insanely useful while leveling as Boomkin in TBC. I lvled to 68 over the past few weeks and being able to regen mana with melee has saved my life so many times.
Leveling as feral is the better choice anyway, so mana from melee just isn't worth it compared to switching specs for leveling. If you want to level as boomie, fair enough...but it never really made sense to have melee mana regen as a boomie except for a niche use when you're oom while leveling.
I thought the video was good but hoooooold up once we get to 19:00 talking about Feral tanks. 1. The kind of crit values (50%-60% with depending on procs from Mongoose) result in a 'block' value of 75%+ (I'd be surprised if it wasn't closer to 90%+) on single-target fights. 3. If you're looking to balance things out a bit in gear, their extremely EH scaling permits them to invest in different trinkets or gearing options to improve their threat. I'm routinely out-scaling equally well-geared tanks in terms of EH while still using things like the agi Greatness Darkmoon card resulting in 25%-50% more DPS over my counterparts. Like warrior tanks they struggle if they don't have a source of incoming damage to provide rage but how often is that genuinely an issue? With T10 4p they have two 1 minute mitigation cooldowns (20% Barkskin & 12% Enrage) plus two 3 minute CDs with their baseline higher health pools means they're well equipped to handle most things. They're the best main tanks on Anub'arak HM due to their high damage plus ability to hit their CDs from a stun (no need to worry about timing it perfectly) and they were the main tank for Paragon's LK 25 HM. I'm a total bear stan, true, but this seems... a bit uneducated? There's more competition and you'll be fine using anyone else as a MT but it's strange to suggest bears suffer from a large fall-off. They really, truly don't. Warriors on the other hand...? Oh how the mighty have fallen.
Resto druids caring about haste breakpoints isn't new in WOTLK, you did it in TBC too. Mostly just getting ~9% haste so that you can get an extra GCD in between refreshing lifeblooms, but still.
Starting to wish I watched this before starting to lvl a Shadow Priest ebcause while fun I had no idea about that Starfall spell Boomkins get and it looks so cool. Also its random and I like random weirdly enough.
I remember of WOTLK where Feral Druid durability was so high fights were being tuned to the point that most other tanks were health yo-yos because they were getting hit so hard. I expect to see Druid tanks be the go-to tank for all content.

He should collab with the ”legacy of”-series
These have consistently been my favorite series to watch on TH-cam every xpac! Can’t wait for the next series Willie! This is what got me hooked to your channel. Cheers to your success 🥂
wow Im not even at the actual content of the video and I cannot stress how amazing this editing is. I absolutely love it
I love how this guy has a 30 minute video on all classes across every expansion… And then he goes and makes a 3.5hr video on all of them.
Legend.
Resto Druid is my absolute favorite healer of all time, especially in the Wrath/Cata era. You can pretty much get by just spamming Wild Growth and Lifebloom, but many big numbers fill screen make brain happy, whether or not piloting the class is difficult.
Nice to see a fellow Delphox and Resto Druid enjoyer
That was me on holy priest in Ioc/AV topping the healing chart by a huge margin. Cata made holy priests broken for a while though, which made it feel even better, winning duels with dps classes because of the chakras 😂
love you mate, keep the content rolling. These videos really help me decide what to play going into the expansion. I feel it is the only guide series that is more objective and just talks about how the class plays/feels/actually performs in all specs. Great job man!
I have no interest in Druids at all but this video is incredibly well put together. Definitely excited for the rest of this series.
its kinda clickbaity tho, everyone pumping out these hokey 'guide' videos "CLASS NAME: is it OP in WOTLK" etc blah blah
@@Afflictamine it's druid, it's not clickbaity to say they're broken in every expansion since TBC because it's true lmao
Not interested in druids?
forgive him father for he knows not
@@emdi4567 I love them for class fantasy, but I've never done any endgame stuff with them. They are good alt material for me.
Hehe i hear ya. Great class to have as a 70 , then later 80 . hard to do unless ya play a lil here and there but great to have. Definitely not for all . greeat farmer/dungeon crawler for a guild
Production is looking excellent! Great work my dude, can't wait to see the rest of them!
Nice content! This was a very welcome surprise category of WotLK to watch at my slow work day
These guides since classic have been my bible, great information on every class
So glad you are doing this. Thanks for all your work WillE!
lol its not like youtube and wotlk is the biggest business right now. it is mostly just general info like the rest of youtubers nothing special
You did a great job,i like how you decorticated all aspect of the class can,t wait to see all the others! gj very well put!
Great intro, I plan on maining or at least my second main druid in WotLK, cant wait!
My god. The editing and overall quality of this video is just.. awesome
This seems like a huge step up in video quality, loved that intro! Excited for the other classes vids
That was a super dope introduction good job Big Will!
In depth and entertaining, good shit homie
im happy you're doing these... i wont seriously play if my friends dont, but i love these videos and WELL DONE ON THE QUALITY i am shook and excited to see
New WillE video: it's a good day
It's 35 mins long: ITS A GOOD DAMN DAY
I very much look forward to this series. very well done
OOOOh boy we in for a treat! Can;'t wait for my class!
Amazing content as always
You are my new favorite content creator for WoW content!! I can't get enough of your stuff! Keep them coming!! And Thank you for doing what you do!! :)
Woah. The beginning has really nice visuals. I like!
The skill cap around feral DPS is incredibly high. I've seen feral beat out warriors with shadowmourne. So much uniqueness in wrath, primarily why people loved it
Addicted to this series as I love druids. Bearcat mostly. Thanks for all the work you do.
Can't wait to see the rest of the series for other classes, love these vids. Really helps to make some decisions ahead of launch
legit the best class videos on the internet, good job bro
Honestly, maybe the best and most in-depth overview of a class I have seen. Can't wait for the rest, subscribing.
Man I’ve been waiting for this series to start

Don't forget their armor is cheaper to repair than your typical plate!
Thank you for doing these series’ for each expansion. You the man, WillE
Absolute banger of a series, thank you SO much for all your hard work for these videos.
WillE, the editing on this video is superb! Huge upgrade! Looooove it!!
Very nice video! I'm maining Feral tank now in TBC and already looking forward to play it in Wrath for the first time ;)
awesome to see the series come back ! cant w8 for DK video ! :)
Your edits have reached god-tier.
Looking forward to to all of this. Thanks.
Sweet. Looking forward to the pally

New series! Great work mate
Very good video. Looking forward to the videos about the classes that I am gonna play.
Dude I've been waiting for this series since like tbc p2, when I've watched the previous one like 5 times :D
Nice video man, just came across this channel.
Subscribed 👌🏻
Looking forward to the Pally, Priest and Rogue videos, I stopped mid TBC but who knows, might try wrath.
We all know you will lol

Love these series! I would like to see dk next.
Quite interested to see how this series unfolds. Have a good general idea based on private servers but I am excited nonetheless
Always great content from you Wille 👏
Oh Boy!!! A new series! HYPE!!!!!
I would say my sole gripe with druid is that I like playing resto, but I don't like running around as a tree, it's why it's more appealing for me from cata beyond lol.
Same mate, also for balance...
Or Classic. :P
Literally the same with me. On paper I love the versatility and play style of druids, and I really like their fantasy too, but I don't want to run around as a giant chicken or a tree! I'm planning on running a fresh server with wotlk classic, and can't decide between Druid and Hunter.

LOLOLO9LOLOL
Bro right on and just in time.
I am really exited for wotlk druid!
With the new glyph of Regrowth, Regrowth Stacking Druid was strong and fun to play. Way more fun than rejuv spam.
bro what? lol
I'm not even planning to play wrath let alone druids but this series is just fun to watch as a trip through class change history

the best series is back again :D
Don't play wow anymore, never played druid up to lvl 40 and these vids are just great to watch👌
Keep up the good work :)
@Z GDKPs aren't even new, definitely more commonplace though
"much like in real life, you don't have to be in melee range to start talking shit" absolutely sent me!
Pure quality content 👌

ONE Tauren Druid. ONE spell. Anyone who didn't think fast enough to use some sort of avoidance (slow fall, etc) died. Including me, and I was a druid too. I thought it was funny as hell. Like, "Hi! ACHOO!"

I thought the video was good but hoooooold up once we get to 19:00 talking about Feral tanks.
1. Feral tanks have the highest HP and armour scaling in the game resulting in the most baseline Effective Health in the game bar none.
This is awesome. Cant wait for shaman.
Awesome videos. Thumbs up!
5/7, did not include the John effin Madden flowchart for feral dps.
Resto druids caring about haste breakpoints isn't new in WOTLK, you did it in TBC too. Mostly just getting ~9% haste so that you can get an extra GCD in between refreshing lifeblooms, but still.
I used to top the meter every raid back in the day on my boomkin
Insane levels of research and game knowledge, gg!
I started playing feral in wrath. fell in love with feral and have main'd feral ever since!
Lmao. The growl discussion on point. You all know what I’m talking about.
waited for this episode!
Nice vid!
ahhhh I'm so excited to play wrath boomy, didn't get to play one until a little bit after ulduar dropped originally
Starting to wish I watched this before starting to lvl a Shadow Priest ebcause while fun I had no idea about that Starfall spell Boomkins get and it looks so cool. Also its random and I like random weirdly enough.
Ur Videoskills improved so well…. Amazin video
Woot...nicely done
Great video!
Wotlk is a peak of wow by far
Damn, WillE. This is some seriously gourmet shit. Amazing content.
But was it any good though?
Honestly, no. I had every class max during Wrath. I played Pally, Warrior, Lock, more than any others. Druids were not as fun
I was resto spec in wrath, but for dungeons I would spec balance to be top DPS while healing.
Will love this series. So hopeful man thank you. Thumbs up from me 👍👍
IM HERE FOR THIS WILLE!! YES LAD
caant wait to pop off even more in owl form, big booms, big hoots, so happy about this and I really cant wait for the pre-patch!
I remember of WOTLK where Feral Druid durability was so high fights were being tuned to the point that most other tanks were health yo-yos because they were getting hit so hard. I expect to see Druid tanks be the go-to tank for all content.
12:00 God It's been so long since I've experienced a REAL starfall.
