    She never said she was making essential oil. She very clearly stated she's making infused oil, there's a difference.
    You can make infused oil stronger by repeating the process with more jasmine in the same oil.

      @@SuperMasterTurtle Essential oil is pressed from the plant and infused oil is where the buds from the plant are placed into a jar and covered with a carrier oil, usually olive oil, but you can use other oils; sunflower seed oil, grapeseed oil, etc.

    Maybe the olive oil is covering the actual smell of jasmine and we should use a more undetectable base oil such as sunflower oil or maybe sweet almond oil, which does have a detectable smell, but not as strong and lingering as the olive one.

    In my garden in Dubai if the jasmine bloomed in the morning, by afternoon half of them would become dry and crisp like the ones you have shown - Thats how strong the sun is here during the summer.Of course i moved my plant to a cooler spot so that it did not suffer that way .... but this is a great idea for the flowers after they dry out.Thanks

    I love your video. You come across as a very sweet lady, and give clear instructions. I'm wondering, if the strength of fragrance is not enough for your liking, is there any reason you can't leave the flowers in the jar for longer... let's say, a few months? I'm thinking they wouldn't go bad in the oil.

    my Brother-in-law & Sister-In-law brought me some loose Jasmine Tea leaves from Vietnam. Before I opened the large bag I went to the Asian market and bought some in tea bags to try. It's not my preference at all, to perfumed. Can I do this same application using the tea into oil?

    I guess there's no possible do-it-in-your-home methods to preserve the scent of jasmine flowers. It goes away when they are dried, heated, left out for a day or two. All the infused oil method requires dry flowers, but the scent is gone before they are dried.

    Why bother with all the trouble, if you can't get the smell, and have to add the essential oil???? Why bother with all the initial work, if the smell isn't sufficient?

    • @tinalegrand283
      @tinalegrand283 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Claudette Faglie This is a demo for a macerated oil, not essential oil. Macerated oil pulls out all the healing properties of the plant. The smell is secondary. If you want the strong smell, you need to add essential oil, which is a distilled oil from the flower or plant.
