Is there an oil I can use instead of the coconut oil since I am allergic to coconut?
Yes you can use a different carrier oil, like olive oil or avocado oil. It won't be quite as firm, but it will still work just the same!

You can use any other oil that is good for respiratory! I have a whole list on the blog. My favorites are lime, eucalyptus, and peppermint.

I tried this and everything hardened and was not spreadable.
Hmmmm OK I am not sure why. Mine stayed creamy.
Based on her recipe I would not add cocoa butter and instead of 1/4 cup coconut oil use half cup that will do it.
