    These are some great ideas, and I’ll definitely be incorporating some of these ingredients into my morning smoothie. You should experiment with more frozen ingredients, I find that a colder smoothie goes down even easier. It makes things that much more efficient for me to have 60+ grams of protein or 800 calories in a smoothie(smaller than a pint) in the morning.

    • @Eggdad
      @Eggdad ปีที่แล้ว

      what do you usually have in your smoothies?

    • @kenmitchell3027
      @kenmitchell3027 ปีที่แล้ว

      Abuse peanut butter, egg whites, and protein powder if you’re looking for more calories + protein. Something like powdered peanut butter will be more expensive, but it’ll have less than half the calories per tbsp if you’re looking for that flavor/protein, but not the calories.

    • @kenmitchell3027
      @kenmitchell3027 ปีที่แล้ว

      As for frozen ingredients, I used to freeze bananas that were getting overly ripe, then I would use half of one per smoothie. I’d add up to 100 grams of frozen blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, mango, simply any frozen fruit. I’d add a heap of baby spinach, sometimes flax or chia seeds, protein powder(usually a less sweet vanilla, the smoothie will be sweet enough with any amount of fruit). I’d mostly always use almond milk. It’s good to understand that fruit is still sugar(just not processed sugar), and it’s still about 100 calories per 100 grams. Peanut butter goes about 200 calories per 2 tbsp. Experiment what works with you, but 8 oz of liquid to 100-150 frozen fruit leave the smoothie at a pretty optimal state

      At 12% I wouldn’t recommend you go lower unless it’s only for a month or two. Anything at 10% or lower is just gonna bring lots of problems. Staying 12% year-round will make you leaner than 99% of the population will still staying healthy.

    These are pretty interesting smoothies. I pretty much make mine like the berry smoothie but use frozen berries which are really great for making it nice and chilled and also much cheaper and longer lasting in the freezer.

      @@daveyahoo I looked this up to verify, all I could find partially supporting your claim was:
      The vitamin which is most sensitive to temperature change is vitamin C. It is a well-known fact that during flash freezing (-30°С or -22°F) vitamin C loses its properties by 15-20%.
      Not saying you're wrong, just wondering if you could elaborate further. Because you said "most" vitamin c is lost during freezing, but this claims only 15-20%.

I've been having berry smoothies and banana with protein powder for a while now. Can't wait to try out the other varieties especially before going to the gym.
