Just shows how quick and easy it can be to make a solid meal.

I'm a 55 year old trying to lose weight and regain a level of fitness---eating in a consistent calorie deficit right now (and exercising) and have lost about 25 pounds so far. I'm trying to find recipes to help me pack more nutrients into the caloric intake, and your recipes have been so helpful and delicious! The turkey tacos recipe was a hit with my whole family. Trying some of the others this week. I really like that you started your son out eating healthy, and I'm trying to move my entire family that direction. Recipes like these help so much. THANK YOU!!!

    Great video!
Some info about the avocado oil spray:
The nutrition label will almost always say that there are zero calories. That’s because the number is from a quick spray (¼ of a second in some instances.) But since most of us use several long ones, it isn’t easy to calculate the nutrition information. To get an idea, one tablespoon of avocado oil has approximately 120 calories.

I did the same dude! Once you get into your form in fitness and solid clean reps and sets of any type or fitness activity, you crave only the cleanest of foods. And it’s ok to add some flavoring and basics to make it more enjoyable. Losing weight and eating right shouldn’t have to be dreadful everyday. Fast food and sodas and other horrible things have been force fed down our throats since we were children and they continue to do so. Imagine the day that a very small percentage of humans ate fast food daily?! They wouldn’t keep the doors open lol. It’s time for everyone to start eating better and treating there minds and body’s with way more respect and care.
Keep at it friend and you’ll see how amazing it feels to kill that solid workout and come home to cook a clean free of guilt meal and feel the love and euphoria for yourself daily. Makes you really take a step back and clean out all the bs and clutter in your daily life and routine.
Don’t let your thoughts tell you to stay on the couch or computer chair when you know you should be stretching and hopping on that elliptical/mill or whatever you kickstart yourself into full blown hungry workout machine!! Lol
Happy to see someone else and so many on here learning how to live right with videos and tips like this one. Keep at it and don’t forget to smile always know that you won’t change overnight but you will be one step closer to that change you want!! 🤙🏻 ☮️ 🤙🏻

I lost 17 pounds following your food reccomendations over last year.. We no longer use ground beef for tacos but ground turkey 😋 . My dr was super happy with my slim down. Follow your choices of high protein meats and lots of veggies and onions to bring out intense flavor. Love cilantro on my tacos 🌮 😋. Keep these lean machine food videos!

I sometimes stir fry shredded onions until soft, add in chopped garlic and tomatoes, then bring in my sliced meats (chicken or beef), once all is cooked, add about 1/4 cup of water. Once it is boiling, add my flavors (Oyster sauce, Turmeric powder, Cumin powder). Then thicken up the sauce with a bit of Corn Starch slurry. You can pair this dish with some cooked rice or some other starch such as pasta, pita bread or flat bread. One thing I'd do with Avocadoes is chop it up, and mix it in with chopped tomatoes, add lemon juice and and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to make a sort of Guacamole.

As an idea for a video you could talk about fitness tracker. How useful you think they are and how we could avoid to make them in something that impacts our life in a negative way..because we all know that sometimes these little devices that should help us to keep a better track of our daily calories & activities get to control our life, making us to change something we enjoy to do to feel like a burden.

Great content for a beginner getting into easy healthy meals. My biggest critique from this video is the food contamination. You absolutely should not be using your cutting board that you used for RAW chicken to chop your vegetables on. Yes the veggies are being cooked, but because they touched raw meat from the cutting board, you need to make sure your veggies reach an internal temp of 160 to kill off the bacteria. I also saw you cut an avocado on the same cutting board that you cut raw chicken on, and then served the avocado raw. This can cause cross contamination and sickness. Please everyone be careful handling raw meat. It is best to either wash your cutting board and knife between meat and veggies or get a new cutting board/knife altogether. Again, great recipes. Love seeing a healthy lifestyle represented. Not trying to be an ass, just want to make sure everyone is safe and healthy without food poisoning!!!

For any veggies that you want a little more tender, you can essentially steam/parboil them in the microwave with no water whatsoever. It depends on the amount and the veggie, but just put them in for a minute or two, stir and poke for texture, and toss into a skillet if you want some caramelization or char. They’re tender but not dried out and not burnt.

    • @dixiesedgwick89

No, the microwave will eliminate all the nutrients in the food. Microwaving is never a good idea.

A search came back with this from Harvard University: "...[B]ut because microwave cooking times are shorter, cooking with a microwave does a better job of preserving vitamin C and other nutrients that break down when heated. As far as vegetables go, cooking them in water robs them of some of their nutritional value because the nutrients leach out into the cooking water."

As much as I appreciate this video and it did inspire me to cook healthy today, so Big Thank you for that. I cant help but notice your protein seems a bit carbonized. And avocado oil actually has more calories than olive oil. The reason manufacturers can say its "zero" calories, is because the recommended serving size is a spray that is 1/4 of a second and the calories in this are so low that they round it down to zero. But tablespoon to tablespoon olive oil is just as good if not better.

In 1 month I LOST 4% Body Fat since only eating your meals. This is the most I lost since I started my journey 4 months ago. I ONLY drink water (try for a gallon a day), pre-workout and protein shakes.
I started eating these meals + the snacks you recommended and breakfast from your other videos on May 30th. I work out 4 days a week but for 2 weeks was only able to do 3 workouts a week. Most of my days I get my 10k walk in but work has been busy so I kind of slacked for a total of 10 days. My sleep has been on and off but I try to get 8 hours in. I STILL lost 4% in one month. I did not starve myself or take any special supplements, my trainer even questioned me because she was shocked! I literally only did what I put on here. I’m keeping it going Chris! I appreciate you!
