Just don't do it at work or on a work-owned device. And, the ladies watch plenty of porn, and they have a big box of toys under their bed, on their nightstand, or in their closet that funds a multibillion-dollar sex toy industry. Nobody ever talks about how creepy it is for women to watch porn or have sex toys all around the bedroom. Meanwhile, men are boxed into a corner with nowhere to go.

Although I met and spoke to a few friendly and beautiful Thai women, I had no interest or desire to pursue a relationship again. Relationships in the English speaking west are just too risky, too much drama and just...too unpleasant for men. The ladies are just insufferable...too much work. First dates now are little more than a job interview....that you pay for. I was married for 30+ yrs, the last 10 yrs was an absolute nightmare. I would work all day (had a well paying professional career) and dread going home. Anecdotally...amongst my family/friends/former workmates, 60% are divorced and 35% are stuck in miserable marriages...I know 2 cpls that appear to be happy. Divorced in 2017 and moved out of the US...lost 60% of my net worth to a cheating wife. Nah yeh nah...never again.

    Hi Mark, society has changed!.
Western women see marriage as a career path, & divorce as a retirement plan. In fact, 60% of all weddings in the west are just a pre-divorce ceremony. You'll also notice that in recent times, there has been a gradual upgrade in the Philippines, in that there's a growing middle class... Filipinas are gradually becoming more westernised.

Not all women are succubus. There are many of us who also don't want to be in a relationship for the same reasons as men. I have had several men ask me to marry them "to take care of them." Not by direct choice but of necessity - what my wife & I shared for 32 years was SO precious & genuine - and SO hard to reproduce again with a stranger that every effort seems fake & forced.
I think unless Providence puts me on the path with a widow of similar experience who shares a desire to "live again in love" - above age 60 - I shall remain Single.
Never thought I'd say that !
First year I lost my Sheri it was daily "tears & why me !?!"
Now I'm at peace with it being both the Will of God & my reality.

I'm a woman in my Low 60s, and I am very traditional. After a messy divorce In the U.S I left for Finland 12 years ago. It's a whole different ball game over here. As a recently divorced person, married for 8 years.
First marriage, and most probably my last.
It is the burn out that gets you
You commit and love someone then it degenerates to very stressful drama and betrayal.
Perhaps when you are young you still have a very wide berth, but when you are in your late 50's or early 60's, and you have health issues and mortality has become a reality, you just don't want to deal with the stress and drama anymore.
It is just not worth it.
You just don't want to stress yourself with all that BS just to get laid.
    Not worth it.
As Reekay of Life Beyond the Sea so insightfully said in one of his uploads.
"Sometimes, it is better to be alone, than being with someone and you wish you are alone."
Anyone who experienced a dying relationship knows what that means.

Hey Mark. Wow. What a topic indeed. So. As a disclaimer I will say that I was in a 30 year relationship. I was married 28.5 years of that and then she died of cancer. That was 8 years ago. I fully understood that things changed in America. The ladies seemed entitled and wanted an upgrade from where they are to even date you. Then I came to SE Asia. Add language barrier. They too want an upgrade. I tried a relationship with a Filipina not quite 20 years younger but for the sake of argument she was 43 and I was 63. She had 2 Twenty something sons. Talk about hey who is this foreigner? I tried to make it work for over a year. It was a losing battle. No one bothered to talk in English much less to me. It is worse to be with people and feel alone than it is to be alone. It was ok for her sons to steal from me. It was ok to ask me for money to give to her family and friends. This Filipina had all kinds of utang and she was OFW and I had to pay for it all. She worked hard for a long time but when I came, she laid on the couch and took naps. So did her sons. Everyone sleeps nicely except me! All of the horror stories I heard of... they were embodied in this one Filipina. My goodness. I am NOT dating anymore. You bet. It is no different here than anywhere else. If you guys find a good one ... congratulations. Count me out. They all figured I was Bill Gates rich. They all thought I would just pay everything and give them the life they always wanted. Even though I told her I was Pobre before I met her. They do not believe you! They think that is a joke. Well, they thought wrong. I saw how it was in the States and I see how it is in SE Asia. I. Am. Done. Permanently. Trust and believe... this is no utopia for dating.

I'm a 40-year old Canadian. I have no interest in western women generally. For me, it is more of the materialistic, entitled, attitude that many western women have. Of course, I have met some amazing, humble, SEA women in my travels, and that reinforces my feelings. I see so many married men in North America who are unhappy. Even just walking down the street here, listening to some conversations...I thank god that I am not attached to women like that.
Not to mention the fact that I have my free time to myself and I'm saving a LOT of money. I travel 2 or 3 times per year, mainly to Thailand for now, and that keeps me more than happy until such time as I can afford to move to SEA and find a woman who is genuinely loving, attractive, humble and family oriented.

Unfortunately, the upside of marrying or cohabitation with a woman as you get older has very little to no upside. When we are younger it may be slightly attractive if we want kids or a family, but even then, it is incredibly risky because of the court systems in the United States and that the statistics are very high you will divorce and that those divorces are initiated by women. No one wants to put in the time to make those relationships work and last. I read that many women initiate divorce because they are bored or think they can do better.
As we get older and have more assets to lose and quite honestly have less patience for the B.S., being alone with yourself and having a good dog and friends is all we really need. Some say they are scared to die alone, but we all die alone and no guarantee that she will stay with you and that you won't lose everything taking that chance. It's just not worth the risks vs. the slight chance of any possible gains.

Pascal, the 17th century French philosopher wrote that " .. all of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone ..".
Married with kids is one thing but the idea of an older single man wanting female company 24/7 is sad. if you want someone to cook, clean, take care of you etc, and are willing to forfeit your privacy, space then fire away.
I guess if you have no hobbies, tend to be lonely, depressed, drink a lot etc, then maybe having a woman riding shotgun will be of use but I could never imagine compromising my hard fought for Independence, space to having Any woman in the house 24/7.

The "need" for marriage and relationships for that matter is continually eroding in our time. Here is the situation as it stands today: women will not settle even if it means remaining single in their 20s, 30s and beyond. And on the other side, more and more men have become reluctant to play the game due to the high divorce rate in addition to dealing with the "female relationship playbook" *all* women follow. In simple terms, many men have come to the consensus that it's easier to be single and I am one of them. 52 male, never married and no kids. What does it all mean? It means that their will be more and more single people!

I’m retired but work a couple days a week driving for a limo service, a few times I got stuck late at night at the airport waiting for a delayed flight, so I had no dinner. She knew this cuz she was up my ass texting me all day. ALL SHE HAD TO DO at a minimum was bring me over a WaWa hoagie or a ten dollar Chinese take out WHEN I GOT HOME from work. Like she couldn’t even think to hook me up! It was pathetic! She didn’t even have a real job so there was no excuse that she didn’t have time. She got dumped real quick!

These women didn't want me in my youth. They didn't want to share the struggle to build a life together. They wanted the palace without the work.
    I had to work alone.
Now that the work is done, they want to come in, and change everything I built to suit their taste. I like it the way it is!
Why give up my work, my happiness for someone who obviously doesn't appreciate my work, style, etc.???
    No.
I wasn't good enough for them in my youth. I don't need them now. I don't need the drama, etc.
I'm pushing 60. It's too late to start a family now. I'm tired. ALL I want now is peace and quiet while I coast across the finish line.
As for a legacy, it's too late for that too! My estate goes to Charity. Not some golddigging schrew!

Some of them were people I worked for, some were clients for the companies I worked with and some were just people I met in the local area.
