Im a Thai man who have been married 3 times. First wife is Thai, secind a white American, and third is Isaan Thai woman. I just want to add that Thai woman prefer a foreinger to take them out and live in the western country. IF it was up to them, they do t want to live in Thailand because of easy access and temptation to other woman. It is opposite for men, if you have a Thai GF, you do not want to take her to America or Europe because she will soon be westernize.

Thai people are good at making "small talk " but for the most part they don't want to talk about things that are deep.

Poor men can not take care of women, so many of them choose not to marry. Middle class and wealthy men have a lot of options, but to get the right one seems to be a little difficult. Thai population is 70 millions and there are more women than men. Wealthy inequality is huge.

In short, I think the Thai partners are undervalued by foreign men. They literally sometimes have to multitask in multiple fulltime roles to date them. The skin colour thing isn't just about being different. We associate brown skin with health, because we mostly work indoors and don't have strong sun much of the year anyhow, so we have to spend the time and effort to go outside. Thai people associate brown skin with low class, because the traditional cause is doing manual labour.

In short, I think the Thai partners are undervalued by foreign men. They literally sometimes have to multitask in multiple fulltime roles to date them. So the complaining I hear from Western men about Thai women and how they've been underhandingly treated is to be debated. Many of these Thai partners are translators, tour guides, business advisors, maids, mothers, and caregivers to older or sick men. C'mon now, they deserve more credit..

last time I was there, me and my mate talked about that you don't notice thai men at all. They are like npc on Thailands streets. I mean they exist, it's your grab driver, chef in the kitchen chopping the chicken, trying to sell you some stuff on the street. But rarely they interact with you about other topics. I first heard about this standard when I lived in Thailand when an absolutely gorgeous 'tan skin' lady told me she is not beautiful because she's not 'light skin'! 😳
