Silent stare The power of Silence. Stop explaining ur choices. Don't seek approval/ validation by explaining or defending yourself to the wrong crowd. Keep your distance. Hold your head high.
1. Be silent.. stare at them. 2. No need to answer when someone insult or disrespect you.. 3. stop explaining yourself. 4. keep your distance 5. Hold your head high .... I know exactly who I am.. Do not let others decide for yourself.. don't let the monkey drive your car..

absolutely correct James, as a man of 70 this is exactly how I am and I have one child that tries to push my buttons so I show her how abrupt I can be and stop conversation. I did my hard yard being a good provider for my family of six. Silence is golden when you reach my age.
A very arrogant neighbour who only fights and abuses women, I'm new in the area and each time the man starts ranting and using abusive words on me I just look at him straight into his eyes shockingly he enters his house and silent takes, it makes me feel good and stand tall, I walk with so much audacity, people have come to me saying wow since u came things have changed we barely hear his voice these days, wow, thank you, sir

Some of the best statements for me: I am not here to be anyone's emotional punching bag or source of validation. I do not have to play the role that anyone has assigned to me. I am making a statement that my well-being comes first.
My son has always treated me this way! I hope that helping him, as a mother should, unlike my 'mother', has in part got him to where he is today. Unfortunately, and it hurts, we haven't spoken in years, I believe due to my situations and choices. I feel, since eighteen, he has looked down on me! Although hard, I walked away after year's of trying to talk to him didn't work, ending in rows. Blood isn't always thicker than water!
Thank you so much. I teared up listening coz I am a victim of this. I actually stopped talking to alot of pple esp from my family because I was tired of explaining myself. Now, listening to this gives me more courage that I am doing the right thing. Its really draining and tiring. I feel so much lighter, happier and free when I dont hear from them. Sad to say, but its true.

@MummyShuaib My dear mom used me with a one word reminder she wrote poetry & her last poem was called "Refrain." I pull that word from my memory bank whenever, someone tries to edge me on. Hope this is helpful.
Keeping that light shining isn’t always easy, but it has a ripple effect, bringing warmth and clarity to those around us. The “salt of truth” you mention is so powerful-it preserves integrity, adds flavor to our lives, and guards us against the bitterness that can seep into our spirits. How do you stay connected to your own light and truth amidst all the challenges today’s world presents?
Letting go, while still holding love in your heart, is a profound act of strength and grace. To pray for someone without feeding into the drama shows a rare depth of compassion, a choice to prioritize inner peace over unnecessary turmoil. This delicate balance of love and distance reflects a maturity that few truly achieve, allowing you to move forward with peace and dignity intact. Your approach is a testament to the power of releasing control and embracing tranquility in its place. Have you noticed how this inner peace has changed the way you view your relationships?
Real love doesn’t isolate from family. There is absolutely nothing healthy about distancing yourself from people that love you and Want to fellowship with you. Controversial subjects can and should be avoided between family that cannot see eye to eye about Politics, Religious beliefs, etc. But avoiding hot topics takes effort and patience. Guarding every word you say is like walking on eggshells. It is not relaxing or enjoyable at all. People need to give more forgiveness and grace and not wear their feelings on their Shoulder. Giving others the silent treatment to justify your definition of “drama” avoidance is petty, selfish, and completely against God’s on scripture…..Do Unto Others as You Have Them Do Unto You”. Love the family God has given you, cut them a little slack and Never give up on important relationships. If you are mad or severely hurt by something a sibling or child or other relative has done or Said to you…..don’t give them the silent treatment….that never heals anything. Sit down and calmly talk with them and let them know you are hurt. Give the other person a chance to apologize and try and make things right again. Many relationships are unnecessarily Fractured because no attempt is made for honest, heartfelt listening and talking. Cutting good people out of your life totally with no real concrete reason is simply just being mean, and arrogant. By concrete reason ….I mean did they steal your money, or possessions, Or free time? Did they kill you or someone you loved…a person or pet. Did they purposely set out destroy your job, house, or reputation. Did they take you to court, wreck your car, destroy your peace by calling you relentlessly at all hours of the day and night? These are serious breaches of one’s peace and would be hard to forgive and move on. But if your “hang up “ with them is less serious than the above, then a Christ like relative and be a restorer and not a destroyer. Life is short, follow the Golden Rule and never give up on Good, solid, self reliant , stable people who want to love you just as you are. Amen finances
@@bettiking804 They reflect a heartfelt plea for connection, understanding, and grace-principles that often feel lost in the noise of modern relationships. You’ve beautifully captured the essence of family: a sanctuary where love is imperfect yet unwavering, where differences should challenge us to grow, not divide us. The idea of forgiveness as an act of courage and humility resonates deeply; it reminds us that relationships are fragile yet invaluable treasures. Your emphasis on honest communication and the willingness to reconcile speaks to the very core of what it means to be human. It’s not about avoiding conflict entirely but about navigating it with love and empathy. Truly, cutting out good people without attempting resolution can leave wounds that time alone cannot heal. Have you ever witnessed or experienced a moment where choosing forgiveness over silence transformed a relationship?
The power of silence, especially in a world overflowing with noise, can be profoundly impactful. A silent stare holds a certain mystique-it communicates strength, control, and unspoken words that linger in the mind of the other person. To stay calm and collected while allowing the silence to speak volumes is a rare skill and can leave a lasting impression. You’ve truly captured the essence of non-verbal influence here, harnessing the stoic power of silence to convey more than words ever could. In your experience, what kind of reactions did you notice from others when you held that silent stare?
@@DeanMorrissey-fu1yf Silence, especially a silent stare, has a unique power-it shifts control without a word spoken, creating a space where the narcissist’s usual tactics lose their hold. It’s as though the quiet strength of non-reaction becomes a mirror, revealing their own insecurities and disrupting the validation they crave. This approach speaks to the power of calm resilience and how sometimes the most impactful response is no response at all. Have you ever found that silence shifted the dynamics in a difficult interaction?
I think that this particular ‘life skill’ is much more important and crucial than it gets recognition for. So so many people could hugely benefit from practicing these skills. As is said in the video many times - life gets lighter. A perfect description.
Sometimes you just have to try chasing a fool who disrespect s you with a gun, knife or stick and giving them a piece of your mind and then you see the truth
You’ve captured the essence of mastering these life skills-how they have the power to make life feel lighter, less burdened by unnecessary stress and reaction. It’s true that these skills often go unrecognized, yet they are transformative, subtly reshaping our experiences and our responses to the world around us. Practicing them may seem simple, but their impact is profound, helping us create an inner calm that radiates outward. Your perspective reminds us of the quiet strength in living intentionally. Have you noticed a specific skill that has brought this sense of lightness to your own life?

Thanks so much for this wise reminder. My mom used to practice these self love laws. She was a dignify lady, she wouldn't waste her energy or time arguing and she told me you don't have to explain yourself . She would go out and said I got things to do , see you later to my dad, no explanations necessary. This helped me very much! We cannot kick a dead dog. Others who are discrediting and disrespectful are so miserable with themselves and when we enter the scene they subconsciously feel even worse about themselves…. Insecure.. when we act as if we don’t hear or just stay quiet puts all of it back on themselves. God bless you. Thank you for your this.
I keep listening and listening to this great video because i suffered thirteen years with a narcissist bossy aggressive wife who never respected nor loved me...but i learnt a lot from this video how to treat such unrespectful and aggressive creature.
This all makes perfect sense to me. I have “ the luxury “ of easily removing myself from amongst these people but now I’m going to look forward to giving the short stare along with my silence for others to witness because these insecure types think they can claim victory when your not there. But really, should I even care? Hold your head high and know your worth.

These strategies are game-changers! I’ve always felt like I had to defend myself whenever someone questioned my choices or acted disrespectfully. But the silent stare and just refusing to explain myself? That’s next-level self-respect. Tried keeping quiet instead of reacting when someone made a snide comment recently, and it threw them off completely. I walked away feeling stronger and more in control of my energy. Thank you for this reminder to protect my peace and set the standard for how I deserve to be treated. Definitely sharing this with friends who could use the same boost!
I completely resonate with your experience! These strategies truly empower us to take control of our reactions. It’s amazing how a simple silent stare can shift the dynamic and make us feel stronger. Wow how much i love this❤. This is what i always have teached my children. It works for me,just staring at people make them so uncomfortable, they look dumb being in warr with themselves because you don't feed the reaction they want. My children always said: but mama,it will look like they are right. I said no! There are 2 people in the room, the one who disrespect you will know what you're trying to say without words. We are the light of the world we are a city on the hill. No one deserves an explanation unless it is a sincere uplifting and empowering person who sincerely cares about us. Amen!!!
Self-respect is a rare strength, a quiet yet unshakeable reminder of our worth and values. Often, those who haven’t cultivated their own sense of self may misinterpret this strength as self-centeredness, simply because they don’t yet understand the courage it takes to honor oneself. By staying true to your principles, you’re setting an inspiring example of what it means to live authentically and unapologetically. In a world that sometimes asks us to shrink, you’ve chosen to stand tall-and that is truly admirable. Have you noticed how embracing self-respect has changed the way you view your relationships?

The power of Silence.

Toxic people are truly best to just stay away from. This is sage advice!
Problem is that you won't see they are toxic from first moment, they hide it
That's keeping your soul and mind intact.

I have to take control of my life, and to learn not to share any dificult situation or personal decision with any of my family member.
Choosing to take control of your life, especially by setting boundaries around deeply personal decisions, is an incredible act of self-respect and strength. It’s a testament to your commitment to inner peace and self-empowerment, recognizing that some journeys are best walked independently. This approach allows you to cultivate a quiet confidence, free from external influence, and to listen to your own intuition without interference. How has this decision to protect your personal space affected the way you approach challenges?
God you and I.
I meant God help all if us who need to be stronger.
Thanks for your advice. Everywhere I go people disrespect me even my own family, but as you said, ignore it, do what is right and pray.

Occasionally, a message arrives exactly when you need it most. Thank you 🙏
Walk away and let them go pray for them but keep your distance love them but keep your distance and don't feed the drama. You'll find peace.
How come?
I know
Real love doesn’t isolate from family. There is absolutely nothing healthy about distancing yourself from people that love you and
Want to fellowship with you. Controversial subjects can and should be avoided between family that cannot see eye to eye about
Politics, Religious beliefs, etc. But avoiding hot topics takes effort and patience. Guarding every word you say is like walking on eggshells. It is not relaxing or enjoyable at all. People need to give more forgiveness and grace and not wear their feelings on their
Shoulder. Giving others the silent treatment to justify your definition of “drama” avoidance is petty, selfish, and completely against
God’s on scripture…..Do Unto Others as You Have Them Do Unto You”. Love the family God has given you, cut them a little slack and
Never give up on important relationships. If you are mad or severely hurt by something a sibling or child or other relative has done or
Said to you…..don’t give them the silent treatment….that never heals anything. Sit down and calmly talk with them and let them know
you are hurt. Give the other person a chance to apologize and try and make things right again. Many relationships are unnecessarily
Fractured because no attempt is made for honest, heartfelt listening and talking. Cutting good people out of your life totally with no
real concrete reason is simply just being mean, and arrogant. By concrete reason ….I mean did they steal your money, or possessions,
Or free time? Did they kill you or someone you loved…a person or pet. Did they purposely set out destroy your job, house, or reputation. Did they take you to court, wreck your car, destroy your peace by calling you relentlessly at all hours of the day and night?
These are serious breaches of one’s peace and would be hard to forgive and move on. But if your “hang up “ with them is less serious than the above, then a Christ like relative and be a restorer and not a destroyer. Life is short, follow the Golden Rule and never give up on
Good, solid, self reliant , stable people who want to love you just as you are. Amen

Am sincerely healed by silence. This video is a therapy for oppressive and stressful situations.
Yes, the silent stare does work. I have done this. I drove someone crazy with this technique.
@@stoickingdomofficalnarcissists will feel greatly uncomfortable with the silent stare. The narcissist what's a verbal reaction.

So true@@DeanMorrissey-fu1yf
@@DeanMorrissey-fu1yf Silence, especially a silent stare, has a unique power-it shifts control without a word spoken, creating a space where the narcissist’s usual tactics lose their hold. It’s as though the quiet strength of non-reaction becomes a mirror, revealing their own insecurities and disrupting the validation they crave. This approach speaks to the power of calm resilience and how sometimes the most impactful response is no response at all. Have you ever found that silence shifted the dynamics in a difficult interaction?
This is great for the bullies at work.

Self-respect is a rare strength, a quiet yet unshakeable reminder of our worth and values.
