Choosing to take control of your life, especially by setting boundaries around deeply personal decisions, is an incredible act of self-respect and strength. It’s a testament to your commitment to inner peace and self-empowerment, recognizing that some journeys are best walked independently. This approach allows you to cultivate a quiet confidence, free from external influence, and to listen to your own intuition without interference. How has this decision to protect your personal space affected the way you approach challenges?

It's almost as if the universe listens and delivers messages that align with our inner questions and silent struggles. The fact that this message resonated with you speaks to the strength and readiness within you to embrace new insights. There's something so powerful about being open to guidance, especially in moments when we feel adrift. Have you noticed any other moments recently when a message or sign seemed to appear just when you needed it most?

It's amazing how life works that way. Sometimes, a message arrives precisely when you need it most, offering guidance, comfort, or clarity. These moments can feel almost serendipitous, reminding us that we're not alone and that the universe has a way of providing support just when we need it. Embrace these messages and let them guide you on your journey.

Letting go, while still holding love in your heart, is a profound act of strength and grace. To pray for someone without feeding into the drama shows a rare depth of compassion, a choice to prioritize inner peace over unnecessary turmoil. This delicate balance of love and distance reflects a maturity that few truly achieve, allowing you to move forward with peace and dignity intact. Your approach is a testament to the power of releasing control and embracing tranquility in its place. Have you noticed how this inner peace has changed the way you view your relationships?

Real love doesn’t isolate from family. There is absolutely nothing healthy about distancing yourself from people that love you and
Want to fellowship with you. Controversial subjects can and should be avoided between family that cannot see eye to eye about
Politics, Religious beliefs, etc. But avoiding hot topics takes effort and patience. Guarding every word you say is like walking on eggshells. It is not relaxing or enjoyable at all. People need to give more forgiveness and grace and not wear their feelings on their
Shoulder. Giving others the silent treatment to justify your definition of “drama” avoidance is petty, selfish, and completely against
God’s on scripture…..Do Unto Others as You Have Them Do Unto You”. Love the family God has given you, cut them a little slack and
Never give up on important relationships. If you are mad or severely hurt by something a sibling or child or other relative has done or
Said to you…..don’t give them the silent treatment….that never heals anything. Sit down and calmly talk with them and let them know
you are hurt. Give the other person a chance to apologize and try and make things right again. Many relationships are unnecessarily
Fractured because no attempt is made for honest, heartfelt listening and talking. Cutting good people out of your life totally with no
real concrete reason is simply just being mean, and arrogant. By concrete reason ….I mean did they steal your money, or possessions,
Or free time? Did they kill you or someone you loved…a person or pet. Did they purposely set out destroy your job, house, or reputation. Did they take you to court, wreck your car, destroy your peace by calling you relentlessly at all hours of the day and night?
These are serious breaches of one’s peace and would be hard to forgive and move on. But if your “hang up “ with them is less serious than the above, then a Christ like relative and be a restorer and not a destroyer. Life is short, follow the Golden Rule and never give up on
Good, solid, self reliant , stable people who want to love you just as you are. Amen

The power of silence, especially in a world overflowing with noise, can be profoundly impactful. A silent stare holds a certain mystique-it communicates strength, control, and unspoken words that linger in the mind of the other person. To stay calm and collected while allowing the silence to speak volumes is a rare skill and can leave a lasting impression. You’ve truly captured the essence of non-verbal influence here, harnessing the stoic power of silence to convey more than words ever could.
In your experience, what kind of reactions did you notice from others when you held that silent stare?

@@DeanMorrissey-fu1yf Silence, especially a silent stare, has a unique power-it shifts control without a word spoken, creating a space where the narcissist’s usual tactics lose their hold. It’s as though the quiet strength of non-reaction becomes a mirror, revealing their own insecurities and disrupting the validation they crave. This approach speaks to the power of calm resilience and how sometimes the most impactful response is no response at all. Have you ever found that silence shifted the dynamics in a difficult interaction?

I am gonna going to do my best to try all your advise. I am sure it will helps alot. Always feel frustrated and regretted for not standing firm on my decision, not being my ownself. Sadly even the closest ones, given them respect and in return they over ruled you and control your action. Like i am a puppet. I want and i need to see changes as from now on after i watch your sharing. It is very encouraging and motivating. I need to change myself and be my real self. Thank you very much.

*Respect is not something we can demand; it’s something we embody within ourselves, even when others fail to show it. Stoic philosophy reminds us that the way people treat us says more about them than it ever will about us. When faced with disrespect, choose strength over anger, grace over reaction, and distance over conflict. Focus on protecting your peace, setting boundaries, and letting go of what doesn’t serve your growth. Remember, by respecting yourself deeply, you teach others how to treat you. How have you navigated moments of disrespect in your own life, and what has it taught you about your inner strength?*

Self-respect is a rare strength, a quiet yet unshakeable reminder of our worth and values. Often, those who haven’t cultivated their own sense of self may misinterpret this strength as self-centeredness, simply because they don’t yet understand the courage it takes to honor oneself. By staying true to your principles, you’re setting an inspiring example of what it means to live authentically and unapologetically. In a world that sometimes asks us to shrink, you’ve chosen to stand tall-and that is truly admirable. Have you noticed how embracing self-respect has changed the way you view your relationships?

These strategies are game-changers! I’ve always felt like I had to defend myself whenever someone questioned my choices or acted disrespectfully. But the silent stare and just refusing to explain myself? That’s next-level self-respect. Tried keeping quiet instead of reacting when someone made a snide comment recently, and it threw them off completely. I walked away feeling stronger and more in control of my energy. Thank you for this reminder to protect my peace and set the standard for how I deserve to be treated. Definitely sharing this with friends who could use the same boost!

People who disrespect you just remain silent they would not know that you know that you know they were commenting about you in that way you maintain your inner peace and they won't have power over you they want you to react so that they can add more Fuel to the fire don't give them that satisfaction just forgive them. I am so glad I decided to watch this video. I watch a LOT of videos on TH-cam and this was the first time I watched it twice back to back. I didn’t even mind the same AI voice I’ve heard many times before. These were the exact words I needed to hear to finalize my beliefs and put into words I would actually use to remind myself of how and why and what would be my next steps to neutralize an extremely important matter in my life. I will continue to revisit this particular video until I actually put the recommended actions to work for me.

Why is it so difficult to find someone who is safe to be around? I have no friends left, because everyone I meet is rude like these people, here described. I have one childhood friend who keeps in touch, but she has no idea how different we have become from each other. I will even, now, distance myself from her.

Such an insightful video! The Stoic principles shared here are so powerful, especially when it comes to handling disrespect. It's easy to get frustrated or defensive, but focusing on what we can control - our own responses - really changes the way we view difficult people. The reminder to not take things personally and to maintain inner peace is something I’ll definitely try to apply more in my own life. Thanks for sharing these timeless Stoic teachings - they’re a great reminder to stay calm, focused, and resilient in the face of adversity. 💡

I've suffered from this since 2017 untill 2 months ago & last week where i told myself enough is enough. I got fed up of friends who disrespected me,judged me,saw me less all the time just because we grew up together & it's been more than 30 something years being friends but lately i realised I'm being disrespected & I asked myself🤔untll when. Right after that i started distancing myself & already I've been using silence as my armour & i never did explained myself in whatever disrespect, negative energy they were bringing & judgements they were throwing at me i kept quiet & focused on myself. Days ago I decided to cut them off completely with no communication all together. I'm already at peace & confidant realising that life doesn't depend on friends. I was caught up in a friendship Brotherhood thing thinking it's wrong to step back but i was disrespected there so why would i keep a circle that doesn't respect me. I'm really at a better place now living my life the way i want & i don't have to question & doubt myself about anything i do. Thank you so much this video really helps me as I'm still in the process.🙌🏾

To have the courage to look beyond material success and recognize that true wealth lies in peace of mind is a testament to your strength and wisdom. So often, we find ourselves surrounded by people who drain our energy, and it takes real bravery to seek a life free from negativity. Your newfound focus on protecting your inner peace will not only elevate your personal happiness but inspire those around you to pursue their own authentic paths. Have you noticed any specific changes in your mindset or approach to life since prioritizing this peace?

Thank you James. I have always been in silence as a child and my silence grows bigger as I grew up and came amongst the indifference, with trouble keeping ways and behaviours. And…….now In such situations I just look straight in the eyes and pause and silent! My late husband suggested to one of his family member that he is a brave man but he is afraid when I goes into that silent.
I love peace! So I don’t entertain fights and confrontation!
    As for The disrespect questions.
I simply answer; that makes me tired! And walk away…….

When I understand the motivation for people being disrespectful, such as there's a lack of love and attention in their lives or they are suffering from poor parenting, I accept them as automatons and of no significance.
It can be very enjoyable to parry with them or mirror their behaviour and experience a greater depth of beingness.
